Constance looked around, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. She looked to the children and then looked up, seeing Merrick on the balcony. He really had a great voice. She stood up and went back into the house. She knew exactly which balcony he was on. Soon she was in the doorway, watching him silently for a moment. "That was really good," she said as she stepped out onto the balcony with him. "You certainly got the kids attention." Constance chuckled as she went to the railing and leaned against it, waving down to the kids. They waved back and resumed their playing.

She glanced over her shoulder at him and smiled. "So you said before you had no idea how to use magic, right?" Constance turned so that her back rested against the railing. "Well you were just using it. Your voice and the music was everywhere. I could hear you clearly down there in the gazebo. That is some strong magic."

Constance smiled and nodded. "Yes, some magic does come naturally." She glanced back towards the sky as another clap of thunder sounded. "You know...it really was a good thing that you were there when Alicia was attacked. I don't know what we would have done if something had happened to her. We're from different covens, but she is like a sister to me." She turned back towards him. "So thank you."

"You're probably right," Constance said with a nod. She pushed herself away from the railing. As she spoke to him she pulled her hair up into a ponytail. "Listen if you need anything, just let me know okay? I've lived here just about all my life so I know my way around." She walked a little past him and stopped to look back at him. "I'll be in the library." She hurried back through the door and disappeared downstairs.

Constance shut the door to the library behind her with a sigh. She hadn't felt that nervous around a young man in a very long time. Shaking her head she went to the large bookshelf and began to scan through the books. The room was filled from floor to ceiling with every book imaginable. It circled all around the room except for one spot where a window seat was. It was a nice library, but nothing near what the Amaranth and Rose covens had. She was always so excited to go to those two covens. Oh the books that could be found there!

With a wave of her hand, a book flew from the shelf and right into Constance's hands. She smiled a little. It had always been one of her favorites. "The Illiad" she said softly. She remembered that her father used to read this book. It made her feel closer to him.

"It happens to everyone," Merida said as she appeared by his side. She had a small smile upon her face. "Especially when you find out about this whole world you never knew existed." She motioned around them. She watched him for a moment before continuing. "I do believe everyone stopped for a moment to listen to you play and sing. You are very talented. And Constance---well I do think she's taken to you. She doesn't talk much to newcomers." Merida motioned for him to follow her. "Come, I will show you where you will be sleeping."

Merida just smiled as she led Merrick through the great house. "You can stay in this room," she said as she pushed open the door and motioned for him to enter. The room was furnished with a beautiful full sized bed with a matching dresser. The floor was a beautiful dark wood and dark red curtains hung from the window. "The door just to the right of the bed is the bathroom and the one on the other side of the room is the closet." She looked over at him.

"Constance's room is just down the hall...the third one on the left. Usually when Alicia's here they bunk together. I know that Alicia has taken you to the kitchens but from here if you go down the stairs, take a right, go all the way down the hall and down the next set of stairs, that is the kitchen. We have a library if you're interested in books. That is down the stairs and to the left. It's the room at the very end of the hall. There is is also an indoor pool if you're interested. Down the stairs behind the stairwell." Merida smiled widely. "So, any questions?"

"Very well then," Merida said as she stepped back out of the room. "I will let you get settled in then." She smiled a little and disappeared down the hall. It was always nice to have newcomers. She had to find Constance to ask her a question, and she knew exactly where to look.

The doors to the library opened slowly before her and Merida looked around, finally spotting Constance sitting in the window seat absorbed within a book. With a smile Merida stood quietly before her. "Constance."

Constance jumped in her seat and smiled when she saw Merida. "Sorry, I didn't hear you come in." She stood and stretched, yawning a little. "Did you need something from me?"

"Just a couple of favors. One, I want you to come to the meeting with me and two, I would ask that you help out our newest member. Alicia won't always be here to show him the ropes, so I am counting on you." Merida smiled widely at the little blush that appeared on Constance's cheeks.

"Oh, sure," Constance said with a nod. "I think I will go look for Alicia now." She hurriedly left the room.

Constance flushed a little as she stopped in front of Alicia. She smiled and shrugged. "Nothing...aside from Merida asking me to look after Merrick when you're not here." She shrugged a little and ran her hand through her hair. "Oh, and she wants me to come with you guys to whatever meeting you'll be attending." She smiled widely at Alicia. "Have a good nap?"
