By this point Mort knew his cupcakes were flops and only half-heartedly tried to get the tar-like icing onto them. The stuff was far too hard to work with when he was sober, much less when he was annoyed and tipsy. "Mrrr . . . N-No good," he mumbled apologetically as he showed the baku his set. "Never did cook before, so shouldn'tve thought would do well first go."
Mama always made the meals after all. She liked being in charge. But Mort didn't want to rely on her and pay for fast food every time whenever he had cravings . . .
"So, ah, want to have bakery after graduation?" he asked as he took a small bit of his creation and nibbled, sure to peel the hard as rock icing off first.

Xiu had offered Mort a smile and a wave when he entered, but she chose not to be too intrusive as he got to work with baking, hanging back and waiting until he was finished. When he moved to show her his batch, she offered him a smile and a reassuring pat on the arm.
"Aw, don't worry, Mort! I think it looks great for your first try!" She sneakily glanced side to side then, ensuring that no one was close by before leaning in to whisper, "The first time I tried cooking, I set everything on fire. Including the curtains."
Leaning back, she grinned at the zomboil, cheerfully chirping, "So don't be discouraged! And--a-ah, yes, kind of," The ghoul suddenly looked sheepish, lifting a hand to rub the back of her neck. "I'd like to open up a cafe. You know, tea, baked goods...I'm not so knowledgeable on the business or money managing front though, but I'll try to learn!"

After what she'd just been through with all the cakes and exploding sugar over at wonderland, this was the last place Freya wanted to be. She wasn't even really good at cooking, or baking, or anything.. but Xiu's little club was likely very harmless, and she wanted to support her. A cute ghoul deserved as much support as she could get. So Freya rolled up her sleeves, figuratively speaking, and started to put together some vanilla cupcakes beside Kettil. She started mixing things together without really looking at the instructions, and then put them in to bake. Impatience won her over and she took them out too early. They were soft, and smushy. She smashed one with her fist. That felt nice. 45 pointsQuote: 20-39: When you pull it out of the oven, you discover that your cupcakes are a little undercooked. STEP ONEFreya had talked him into joining her for this little venture. He just picked a random flavor and mixed it up and then popped it into the oven, however, there was a problem with this. A few moments after he had put them in the cupcakes got caught up in a glorious flame. Smoke was everywhere and Kettil became mortified...
After everything was said and done.
Kettil had some very black cupcakes that he needed to figure out how to fix. He glanced at Freya.
...He hoped she didn't see.

She saw. Freya stopped bothering her mixture for the icing, just to poke at Kettil's black cupcakes. They crumbled at her touch, and she giggled at the response. Then she coo'd at the poor, embarrassed boil, and leaned up to peck his cheek. "I don't needs yeh teh be a good cooks, teh be a good boilfriend." She noted to him, before picking out one of his cupcakes. "Can I..?" Could she what? Eat it? Was she really going to.. Freya smashed the cupcake with her fist, and let out a whoop. While she toyed with Kettil's burnt cupcakes, her own icing had melted on the stove, turning into a see through glaze that was all but useless. 35 pointsQuote: 3: Your icing turned out more like a glaze. -10 points

Mort had to laugh at the image of her setting anything on fire, even if it was fire and not anything to be laughing at. "S'good thing I didn't then! But s'good solid goal, mrrr. Think club's got room f-for newbie like me, though?" He was in Scario Kart club, sure, but he hadn't actually done anything with it and felt guilty. At least if he tried the Baking Club for what months he had left, he could try to gain an actually valuable skill.
Or burn things more.
Or turn things into cement more.
. . . At least he could be entertaining?

STEP TWOHe leaned into the peck on the cheek and smiled a bit at her, "Woulda been nice if they worked out, though. So far these ain't cupcakes. They're disastercakes." At her question he only gave her a nod and let out a short laugh as she smashed the cupcake.
The antics distracted him from his icing process.
He added too much liquid and it ended up somehow more like a glaze. He stared down at the mixture and just poured it on with a small sigh.
Whatever. Just whatever.

 Freya started dropping sprinkles all over her nasty little cupcake, and then smashing it. She did this with cupcake after cupcake, not realizing that she was supposed to save some. She definitely wasn't going to eat them! "Have yeh ever tried smushing cupcakes! It feels so good!" She picked one up and smushed it - right on his face. 53 points total

Xiu was beaming at him, her eyes round and hopeful at his question. At once, she held the clipboard with the sign-up sheet out to the boil, her tail giving a little wag. "If you're interested, you're more than welcome to join, Mort! We'd love to have you in the club!"
It wasn't only the prospect of having a new member in the club that made the baku excited, but the fact that her friends seemed to be interested about learning to bake in general.
...She was apparently oblivious to all the flaming, glaze-y cupcake creations that were going on behind her with Freya and Kettil.

DoneHe was distracted with his own decorations for the time being when he looked up to answer Freya he got a cupcake to the face. The Muut stood there for a long moment before he picked up his cupcake 'creation' and wandered a bit closer to Freya and then ... slid the cupcake down the front of her dress - icing first.
Kettil finished this move off with dumping the cupcake down his ghoulfriend's dress front.

Freya was laughing openly at Kettil's surprised face, all the way up until she felt the cold slide of icing down the length of her chest. The laughter stopped, then, and she gawked at Kettil, fire flickering in her eyes. She let out a squeak when he finished by shoving it down the dress, and she bent forward to let it slide out of her dress and plop to the floor. "No. Yeh. Didn't." Freya growled, a toothy grin lifting up the sides of her face. She turned and grabbed two of her cupcakes, one for each hand, and gave him a single second of head start. "YEHR MINE!" She screamed, moving quickly to try and slam the cupcakes into his hair with a cackle.

Kettil had wiped away the mess off his face just in time to see her coming near him with two more. Unfortunately his hands were a bit slippery due to badly made mushy cupcake. He was also walking backwards at the time.
He tripped and fell his hands also slipped away from hers as she successfully gave him cupcake hair.
The boil stared up at Freya and pouted before he moved to grab her waist.
"Why you..." He grumbled as he lunged for her.
It was suddenly wrestling time at the baking booth. Kaiyumi Cause chaos is happening.

Mort had something decent to say about Xiu's open door policy. And then Freya started throwing food.
And then he realized Freya was there at all. And so was the boil with the purplet hair he had chatted with moooooonths before whose name he had totally forgotten. What were they . . . Oh Jack. Food fights.
Mort might have slipped a little behind Xiu to protect himself from being collateral damage.

"Hmm?"
Xiu turned at the tug on her sleeve, her face lighting up as she found herself looking at a very familiar ghoul. "Danny, hi! What's up--"
She cut herself off at the sudden scream from behind her, flinching in surprise before whirling around. What was going on--
--...
"Freya! Kettil!" Although her voice was much, much louder than usual, she sounded more distressed than angry. Quietly excusing herself, she marched up to the two students, brows furrowed, lips pulled into a frown, and hands propped up on her hips.
