Hatteth was caught completely off guard when Hyweth dove through the pack. She had been staying ahead before, after all. So he wasn't able to react in time, and had to content himself with chasing after her again. Would she tire soon? Perhaps she would get bored of waiting for them to catch her and just pick one.

Pipith wasn't expecting her to turn and dive back through them, but he really shouldn't have been: nothing should be surprising in a Flight (unless he lost, which always surprised him), but he'd been too focused on what she was doing to think about what she might do. She did croon again, though, and that little bit of encouragement kept him trying his hardest.

Nachith, for his part, wasn't surprised or ruffled when Hyweth chose to go right through the pack, though he wasn't quite as quick to snap around and pursue as he would have liked. At her crooning, though, he gave a happy little hum. You are as nimble as you are beautiful.

It seemed to be a three way tie so far for first from what Bolth could see in the back. Two browns and a bronze all vying for the lovely crimson's attention.

With no previous experience in Flights, Mazamath had no idea what to expect from them, and he wasn't at all prepared to turn as quickly as he would have needed in order to gain at all on the Hyweth. He wanted her, he did, but this was proving to be a little harder than he had expected!

Hyweth was wearing out gradually. She slowed, nearing Hatteth, and then Pipith. She crooned at Nachith, turning left.
Surely one of them was clever enough to catch her? One of these three? Or the others?

Hatteth could see Hyweth was growing tired soon, she wasn't moving as fast. He crooned at her eagerly, trying to push himself to catch her. But he was growing tired too, his wings starting to ache from flying at top speed for so long. Yet surely, just a little more and he'd have her.

So close! When she neared him in turn, Pipith started to reach out, but then she moved away again, eliciting a snarl of frustration. He wanted this to be over, he wanted to be with her, but it seemed she was going to make him work harder still.

Yet another croon, and still more teasing, as she drew near to the bronze and the other brown. But not him! He got a croon, only a croon. Clearly he needed to try harder! Nachith tried to go faster, just a little faster, but it wasn't enough.

Bolth wasn't even sure why he was still flying. It was clear the bigger dragons were going to out distance and out fly him, but he didn't seem to really mind. It was at least a rather nice time to fly.

Mazamath may have been a little on the large side for a blue, but he was pushing his stamina to its absolute limit here, striving to fly after a female who hadn't seemed to take any notice of him yet. Was it worth it to keep trying? Yes, he decided, but only so that Adi wouldn't pout that he hadn't tried.

Hyweth was tiring, but she tried not to show it. It wouldn't do to have her suitors know her weaknesses. They would catch her prematurely. She flew in between Hatteth and Pipith, brushing a wing against Nachith. She directed a croon in Hatteth's direction, reassuring him that she had not forgotten him.

She was so close, clearly teasing them all! He crooned back and tried to swerve to catch her, but misjudged and swooped too low. He pumped his wings hard to try and draw closer, to catch her at last.

Close, again - and too close to the others, especially to the slimmer of the two browns. He wanted to touch her! He bellowed furiously as he turned, trying to spur himself on. He could get closer, he would get closer!

Bolth was beginning to tire, but he at least had conserved some of his energy seeing little sense in wearing himself out in the end game. Besides it was rather clear one of the three dragon's in the lead would win.
