The Mr. Mime would give a slight bow while the Cranidos would growl dangerously. This was going to be a very interesting battle as the dinosaur pokemon would look at his opponent and flinch a bit ...this was going to be a lot harder than he imagine as he looked at the much bigger and sturdier steel and rock type, and the smaller flame type that wouldn't find himself burning his targets as easily as he did the last group.
This was going to be a much harder battle to fight as the two would look at their enemies, and the Mr. Mime would seem to shrink and shiver at the sight of his opponents.
Though speed was on their side this time ....as the Mr. Mime would start off the battle using ....Barrier, while the Cranidos would turn his attack on the Chramander as he uses .....Crunch with his jaws wide open and aloud roar being emitted from him.

As it had many times in the past, size would prove to be Genn's greatest asset. Sweeping his tail around and lowering his head closer to the floor, the massive Steelix would place his tail squarely in the path of the Canidos, forming something of a wall to block the Rock-Types path.
Fable would provide a different tactic. With Genn intent on protecting him from their opponents viscous bite, the Charmander would turn his attention upon the Mr.Mime. Rather then a physical defense the Fire-Type would provide a distraction.
Turning around the Charmander would begin waving the end of his tail back and forth hypnotically. He was trying to make the Mr.Mime watch his tail flame...the way it flicked and danced in the air, swaying bath and for at a relaxed pace. . [Roll#1:Genn/Roll#2:Fable]

(17 - 3 + 26 -31 = 9/2 =4.5 rounds to 5dmg + -1 to def. stats)
The block would work as the Cranidos's fangs would sink into steel instead of flesh. A smart move that prevent a critical hit as the pokemon would release and back up a few steps with some very sore jaws. His tail whipping across the ground as his paws curl the cave's ground ....as his shook his head.
(Ouch, I almost chip a tooth there.)
He would declare sounding more than a bit miffed by it ....as he shakes his head again, and the Mr. Mime would giggle lightly as the barrier would flicker strongly in front of them.
This meant that direct attacks would find themselves cut in half .....as the pokemon smiled dangerously.
(At least, I won't have to be the only one facing a wall.)
He would state calmly as he starts to try and walk around the wall towards his partner ....whom was doing the same, though his hands were still touching an invisible wall as he seemed to be sliding that way.

In the darken area, she would move towards them ....a flame seemingly floating in the air behind her as she rolled tail over tail in her joy of the moment. Stopping only once she was sure she saw the enemy as her best friend and partner would move behind her ...her tail swishing in the air as her eyes ...well adjusted to darkness would lock on the Magician in front of her.
(Wow, I wonder if there are multiply ways to skin a human?)
The Meowth would declare with a snicker as the Chimchar would burst into a laughing fit. She was more than ready for this battle, but, they had to wonder if it would be fun or over quickly as the cat's tail would dance behind her.
She would purr lightly in her throat as she waited for the call for this battle to begin.

Genn HP: 13 Genn DEF: 30 Raven scowled slightly; that had been absolutely pitiful; and for it they'd lost an advantage. So long as that barrier stood the Cranidos wouldn't fall nearly as easily as it should have....still...the advantage was theirs.
"Fable use Iron Tail, Genn use Ice Fang. Time to payback the Cranidos!" The child barked. After this was over he'd need to see that guy back on the train...as odd as the idea of him being a former nursing student was.
The moment the command was given Fable would not, but rather then heading straight toward his opponent the Charmander would instead make his way to the end of Genn's tail, standing atop the spear like tip.
">Throw me<" The Charmander requested calmly, looking up at Genn with dark blue eyes.
For an instant the Steelix would tilt his head, then open his mouth in an approximation of a grin ">Now you're talking! Wahaha!<" The Steel-Type laughed, already beginning to swing his tail back. This was going to be one hell of a flaming fastball!
Moments later a Charmander would by flying through the air toward the Cranidos, his tail gleaming silver as he shifted his bodyweight, turning to strike the Cranidos squarely, the force of the blow whether it harmed or not meant to send him skidding backward and out of the way of what came next.
What exactly wouldn't take much thought as Genn's mouth opened wider, and the Steelix surged forward. Ice began to coat his teeth, transforming them into wicked fangs; there was little doubt how easily they could tear into the Cranidos's rocky skin![Roll#1:Fable/Roll#2:Genn]

The move would hit....those jaws would catch him as he dances out of the way of the flying ...Fable. That Iron tail a threat, but not one that he had to worry about too much ......as the barrier would flicker into reality for a moment ...stopping those jaws before finally being crushed by it ...along with that of the pokemon itself. The Cranidos screaming in pain ....as his partner would move to make a stop of this ....as he would turn his eyes towards the Steelix.
The pokemon's entire body would turn .....purple ....as his body glowed violet.
There was only one answer to this problem, and he knew it .....as he would shift slightly and focus on the Steelix's jaws as he would try to force it open as he used Confusion.
Meanwhile the trapped ....pokemon would thrash in those jaws ...as he struggled to try and get free. Blood running down his crushed sides as he would aim his next attack .....his head ...down even as he stagger free ....or tried to anyway for the Charmander. He was his first intended target afterall.

Impromptu would be the first to react, growling from under Ada's hat. He'd poke his head out right as the meowth began to talk, his growls bursting into loud barks. The meant nothing, no words, no threats - the act was a whole threat in itself, loud and furious barks with pointed white fangs bared and fur bristled up to a point. The small growlithe would jump off of ada's head, a spectacular yet practiced leap and he'd land on his paws steadily enough not to topple over, though he'd dig his pawpads into the ground to keep his balance.
His body was low to the ground, ears back as he gave off all warning signs of an angry dog possible. He'd pay no mind to the chimchar, his eyes on the meowth and meowth only as he growled the words out. "> You dare lay a single claw on her...cat...I... <" His golden eyes were full of anger, bright and shining. "> I'll tear you limb from limb! <" he'd snarl, though he wouldn't go for it yet, as he'd stand protectively in front of Ada and wait for the Meowth to move.
Ada stared in shock, though she knew better than to try and hold him back. She'd simply call out a second to back him up, Almond who had yet to debut, The stunfisk laying on the ground and staring at the chimchar before her with those little beady eyes...and lets just hope a smile doesn't come after.

The cat would hiss in his face as she draw her claws back and arch her spine. She had no fear of some dingy dog as she would tell him so in his face.

She would declares as she made it a point to look directly as Ada as she made that comment while her partner would stare at the fish. SHe would turn her head one way and then the other and then snicker lightly.

It was a very clear observation.

The focus on his jaws, Genn wouldn't find himself fighting for control of his tail. Flicking the speared tip once experimentally, the Steel-Type would then swing the massive limb into the path of the Cranidos, repeating the process he'd done before in Fable's defense.
His blood not yet boiling, Fable would be fighting this battle with a strangely clear head...something he hadn't experienced in awhile.
Tail swinging behind him the Charmander would make his way around the Mr.Mime in a surprisingly casual fashion. Once more he was opting for a distraction; this time placing the end of his tail by the Mr.Mime's behind. It wouldn't do any damage, but it was almost guaranteed to be one heck of a hot seat! Impromptu would give a beastly snarl with the words, punctuating them with a flame. His whole body would light up, as his figure became twisted and his features were lost in the flame. He'd charge forwards, starting the battle off with a flaming counter attack. He'd scorch her, char her, burn her! Nothing was on his mind anymore besides that.
Almond would take the chimchars words rather well, however. The stunfisk would simply and plainly state "> okay <" when insulted, wiggling her fins around a bit. She simply sat there and waited for the chimchar, plain faced and dull eyed as she expected an answer sometime soon.

It would seem that the distraction was enough as the Mr. Mime's attack would miss and even as the Cranidos would find that his own attack wouldn't be able to get past the defensive of the pokemon's strike as he slides to a stop. His tail shifting behind him roughly as he looked at the Steelix and would make it clear.
(We are getting no where fast by fighting separately ...we need to work together.)
Mr. Mime would nod ....as the pokemon would start forward towards his partner ...a swift movement of hands against the wall as he would come closer and closer to his own partner as the Cranidos would rush towards him with his tail swishing from one side to another. He would skid to a stop ....as the Mr. Mime would move towards him as they would overlap ...a tail protectively around his middle while the Mr. Mime stood with the shield to the front of them and the Cranidos looking to protect the rear ....it would be a miracle if this wasn't in sync.

The Meowth would purr with satisfaction as she would rear back on her back legs, and as the dog came at her with a charge she would push off to launch herself over his head and onto his back with her claws down as she would proceed from that point to literally try and rip his back to shreds with well places cuts and slashes of her claws.
Her ears down as she hisses quite menacingly.
(Going to turn you into fur and bones ....going to use for kitty litter)
She was singing as she slashes while the Chimchar would make another decision...he would step forward and with one paw out ...would make a power punch towards the pokemon's middle that in mid-strike turned into a scratch ...as she giggles.

"Genn get the Cranidos with Ice Fang, Fable Fire Punch on the Mr.Mime!" Raven ordered, leaving the pair to work out the details themselves. Of course that was better strategy then calling out a command in this case. Telling them precisely what to do would leave nothing unexpected to the opponent.
Not that figuring a way around their defense was difficult. Using his bulk and tremendous length, Genn would make his way around to the back of the pair. If the Cranidos was protecting the rear striking from that direction was all he had to do to hit his intended target.
Icy mist exuding in heavy breaths, the Steelix would lunge forward, icicles forming around his teeth to act as fangs. He'd tear the Cranidos apart and end it's role in this battle!
Fable would do much the same, running around the pair to the front. Defending for one another wouldn't do them much good one both of them were the targets!
Passing his fist through the flame of his tail, the Charmander would begin the steps to the oh so familiar attack. Lunging forward, fist blazing, the Charmander would aim to strike the Mr.Mime squarely in the face![Roll#1:Genn/Roll#2:Fable]
