 +Birchbark+ Again he stumbled this time more seriously. Wincing from his buffered foot he lagged still further; his heart sinking as he felt dull throbbing pain in his toes. What if he had broken them? Then he would never run fast enough. He needed to run, if he could not where was life? He was too slim to be an Owsla, and he was no story teller though he enjoyed listening. And he was no seer that trembled and shook with fear of the next seeing. All her ever wanted to do was run. +Birchbark+ A tiny bit more speed, the pain in his toes dulling further but still felt. Not broken but hurting. Now, he had to move past that and watch where he was going this time. He had passed the turn point and was heading back, heart pounding. If he did this, then he could be a runner; if he were fast enough. (( ooc: 6/10 Total 36 ))

Not having much luck, he dashed to the other side, growing frustrated. It was so much harder to move when there wasn't open space all around you.

+Birchbark+ Another rabbit suddenly moved toward him. Surprised at the sudden sight of him, Birchbark stumbled and fell. No use now, he wouldn't win. Spirits at an all-time low he picked himself up and continued to run. Might as well at least finish. (( ooc: 8/10 Total 47 ))

+Birchbark+ With the embarrassment of falling so fully, Birchbark hurried on, he no longer cared how fast or slow, he just wished to bury his head. He would not be the fastest with falling surely. Still, yes he would try to be. Everyone fell now and then; they just would never admit it. One of his falls just happened to be in front of everyone on a race. (( ooc: 9/10 Total 51 ))

Doing his best to not despair, he slowed down to get a better look at the situation. Maybe he could wait for the others to pass him so he could run in the clear?

+Birchbark+ Again he slowed and lagged, perhaps he was thinking too much, but then here was the finish line; and that meant the end of this and not chancing on falling again. Had he been able, he would have blushed. He felt silly now, he had gotten sad because of his stumbling’s from the rocks, and then he fell. Well no matter, for he rushed over the finish line and lay down panting. (( ooc: 10/10 Total 57 ))
