Sherry woke, pushed herself off the table and reached for the mirror. She expected the worst. But...It looked like he's gone over the word on her head again. "What? You didn't do anything?"



No. Sherry shook herself awake again. "Well, I see you've been doing better. Alright. My turn?"

She stepped up, and took 5 pieces in succession. Good, good. She could do this. She had this. "Ha! I still go this." She turned to Jake. "Go, knock it down."

"Really. I'll just have to make sure that doesn't happen," she laughed.

No, no. She could do this. She was a lifer, and really, this game was right up her alley. Except for the part where she toppled the tower. AGAIN.

The dart took her in the shoulder this time.

Sherry woke up, again, and reached for her mirror, again. "Oh, my god. What?!" She was clearly distressed by what she saw. "I can't...." Sherry laughed. She laughed, then leaned over and hit Jake in the shoulder. "This is never coming off!" And still she laughed. The tears were probably from laughter.

She stopped. "Wait. How many blocks have you pulled?" Her brain was a bit fuzzy, but she suddenly felt like she was losing this game. "No. Don't even tell me." She put her hand up for a second, before leaning in to take what was obviously her turn.

She hoped it was her turn. She almost didn't care.

Perhaps she should have cared.

Maybe Jake would be a dear and re-stack the tower for her?

Same drill as before. Wake up, find the mirror.

Sherry silently leveled her gaze at Jake. She would have tried to look serious or threatening, but she'd just seen her face. So she just stared at him.

"I'm going to kill you later." Any venom in her voice was counteracted by the laughter that was trying to come up. There was no turning back. Her eyes would be black for days. "Kill you dead."

"Ok. Whose turn is it?" The tower looked very nice and pristine. "Mine again?" She wasted no time. Five blocks out, five blocks stacked.

"There," she shot Jake an expectant smile. Clearly, she had missed the memo about him winning.

"And what exactly are you so happy about? Besides this," she pointed to the lovely artwork he'd bestowed upon her face.

"Are you telling me to go again?" It was a rhetorical question. Clearly he was. Sherry was failing so hard, and she knew it. But honestly, she didn't care.



Yep. She looked at Jake, with the sternest look she could muster. "I am glad to see this amuses you." It was nothing but the whole and honest truth. Then she smiled. "Still killing you later."

She turned back to the tower. "I owe you for this, you--" Dart to the neck.

The first thing she noticed was the tower still all over the table. "What? I have to stack that now, too?" Her sidelong glance at Jake caused her to smile. He really seemed to be enjoying this. Was that jerkface laughing at her. Yes. Yes he was. Automatically, she started fixing the tower. He was done. He'd won, and it was all her now. He would receive no congratulations, not yet anyway.

"Alright, what is it?" she asked re-stacking the tower as she did so. "I'm not even going to look. Just tell me." She looked him in the eye, "How bad is it?"

Not that she really waited for an answer. She was already poking at the tower again. Silly Jenga blocks. They just really liked to fall over.

Dart.

"Seriously," she woke up, rubbing the side of her face, "this is starting to get old."

Though it appeared as though someone had reformed the tower. "Thank you," she said, flashing Jake a smile. He still looked too happy though. Against her better judgement, she took a peek with the mirror.

"Oh my lord." It was one long gasp, then she snapped the compact shut and turned to the death trainee. "You are terrible. This is...ha! You. So dead, later. I swear."

She turned her focus to the tower for a minute. She had to do this. It was just plain embarrassing at this point, really. And seriously, Mr. not-so-grumpy was gonna run out of face soon. She gave a small sigh of relief when the tower didn't fall this round.

"Is this really that amusing to you?" she asked, placing her five pieces back on the tower.

"A masterpiece? Really?" She shook her head, but found herself laughing, too.

"I am glad you find it so very amusing. I really am." Her hand was back at the tower. She had things to do, you know. Still, she continued talking even as she removed pieces. "Aside from the fact that this is never coming off, this whole experience isn't too--"

The dart hit her in the arm.
