"Oh, really? That sounds great," he said, taking his eyes off the fire to watch her string up the food.
He gave her a smile when she came over. "I'll take beginner's luck if it works!" He declared, sitting down next to the fire. "I'm pretty sure it's what's been getting me through things my whole life."

"Yea, apparently he did that with my father too when he was younger. Bonding stuff and all that jazz ya know." She settled herself down next to him, picking up one of the longer sticks she poked lightly at the fire. Moving a bit of the kindling around so that it would catch.
She turned her head slightly, shaking it just a bit with a small laugh. "Well ya know, not everything is about luck. Sometimes things are just destined to happen. Good or bad." Looking back at the fire, she stared at the flames as they licked at the air. "Our lives are all bound together by some strange, unseen force. Some people say we are all ruled by the stars. But with everything that has been happening and what I know sometimes I wonder if what they say is true."
Her eyes lidded half way as she brought her knees to her chest and wrapped an arm around them. "Do you ever think about past lives and all that stuff? I mean. What if we all knew each other from another time or something like that. And in this time its just....well I guess fate that we all happened to meet up again?" It was a serious question. Vyth had been pondering on and off the pull that certain people she had met had on her. Gabe for one.

Gabe nodded along, mentally churning over the bonding merits of camping. He supposed it was as good as fishing, or baseball, or any other outdoor activity.
He slid an arm around her shoulders, his attention off the fire and on her. "I never really thought about it a lot before...the whole Negaverse thing." He admitted. Fate, destiny, past lives...it had even been a little weird for him. But, well, if what he knew now was true, he had a past life, and...
"I...I've definitely thought about it a lot more recently." He said. "The way things happened between us, and...the way I feel about you, it seemed too fast, but....maybe that's why. All I know for sure is that I feel drawn to you and I can't really explain why. If it's because a thousand years ago, Sailor Toutatis and...whoever I was had a thing, then...I'm glad they did, and I'm glad destiny brought you to me."
It sounded hokey even as he was saying it, but it was true.

Wrapping an arm loosely across his back, she leaned her head against his shoulder. Eyes still fixated on the fire but listening quietly as he spoke. It was a pleasant thought to think about actually. Having met before, a love that transcended time and space. Like some corny romance novel, but sometimes it was fun to pretend. Even if they honestly had no clue.
She rubbed her cheek affectionately against his shoulder with a smile. "I'm glad it brought you to me as well, Gabe. You make my world feel whole. Earth could blow up tomorrow and I wouldn't care as long as you are with me."

He flushed, his eyes flicking from her back to the fire. His entire posture spoke of a certain degree of embarrassment at that idea, of making someone else feel whole. But he recognized that feeling.
"Yeah, I...I know what you mean." He said. "I don't know what I'd do if I hadn't found you."

Laughing, she moved to push him backwards onto the ground, laying the top half of her body across his chest as she looked down at him. "Probably get chased around by all the Nega girls or kidnapped by some Senshi chicks to be their snuggle slave. Any number of things. Good thing I'm here to beat them off with sticks."
Leaning her head down, she kissed his lips lightly before rubbing the tip of her nose against his own. Brushing back a few stray strands of his hair from his forehead.

And like, that, he couldn't help but laugh. "Then I'm lucky to have you. That sounds like a terrifying fate." He said.
He kissed her back, unable to wipe the grin off his face. "I mean that, tough. I'm lucky to have you."

"Would it be terrible if I made you my snuggle slave?" A wide grin broke across her face as her pale blue eyes shimmered mischievously.
Her cheeks tinted slightly pink as he said it again. Laying her head against his chest now, she reached for his hand and once finding it laced her fingers tightly with his own. Listening to his heart beat quietly for a few seconds. "Gabe....promise me. No matter what happens you won't ever leave me." Vyth bit her bottom lip as she curled up against him. "I don't know what I'd do..."

"No, I don't think that would be terrible, but you're the exception." Gabe replied.
He looked down at her, briefly confused. Of course things had taken a turn for the serious again. He gently squeezed her hand. "Of course I won't leave you. I love you, and I don't think I'll be giving up the best thing that has ever appended to me."

Blinking, she looked up at him. That was the first time he had ever said those three little words to her. It made her cheeks flush and her heart race. She knew she loved him, but they had never actually said it to one another. Just hearing him say it made her almost want to cry.
Sniffling back tears, she smiled and wrapped her arms around him the best she could laying on top of him. "I love you too. And I will fight tooth and nail to keep you."

Gabe gave her a slightly dopey smile, but when he noticed that she was starting to cry, he frowned. "Did I...say something wrong?"
Except he supposed not, since she was wrapping her arms around him and telling him she loved him too. He hadn't really thought about it when he said it; it had come so easily, since he'd settled on it with himself a while ago, but now that he'd said it, he couldn't think of a better time or place. "I'll be doing the same for you," he said. "Not going to be letting go easily."

She laughed and shook her head, burying her face into his chest. "No, you said something right and I just got a little choked up is all. See look you are turning me into a blubbering mush." Sitting up quickly, she lightly punched him in the arm before crossing her arms over her chest.
Pushing her hair back over her shoulder, she looked up at the sky. Watching as little pin pricks of light began to appear across the sky. The sun lower in the west allowing them to shine through the coming darkness.

Gabe let out a small, relieved laugh. "Oh, I...okay," he said, smiling weakly. He followed her gaze up to the stars.
"Hey, I can point out some constellations to you. Uh, if you're curious." He said, backing up a bit verbally. He wasn't sure how curious she would be about the stars and such. "I can grab my telescope too, set it up. Or we can just look at the stars that's good too."

Her gaze slide slowly from the night sky to him. A soft smile on her lips. "Sure go get your telescope and you can point a bunch of them out for me. I really don't know much about astronomy. They all just look like little pin pricks of light to me."
Pulling her knees to her chest, she sat there next to the fire quietly. Giving him some time to set everything up and doing whatever he needed to do to get the telescope all in working order.

"Okay!" He stood up, going into the tent and pulling out the box that contained the telescope and its framework. It was a slightly more portable one, and he had it set up fairly quickly.
"Come on over, let's start with the big ones." He said. "The planets!"
