Suddenly both zimboils were under full assault. Even hiding behind his drumset couldn't save Alex when the drummer from paramourne attacked.
Alex had suddenly found himself sprawled on the stage floor, rolling over onto his hands and knees with a moan only to see Mort take a microphone to the head.
Maybe Amrita would protect them.
.....Did Alex hear a familiar horsemen voice shouting at them from the stands or was he just imagining things after that heavy hit?

W-who to hit?!
...Xiu was just going to alternate between teams, o-okay?! PARTLY BECAUSE HER RPER DOESN'T WANT TO ATTACK ANYONE EITHER QQ
Picking up one of the heavier drums, the baku stumbled this way and that as she tried to keep herself upright, biting down on her bottom lip as she took a deep breath and heaved the thing forward and towards Gene ("N-NO HARD FEELINGS I think you're really nice! lakdfjkahsdfkad""). Unfortunately, the motion sent her stumbling backwards, causing her to fall on her bottom with a rather loud (and painful sounding) thud.
Owwww.

Lizzy had moved to a corner of the stage, cradling her broken guitar as she cheered her team on; she was totally giving moral support.

Alex didn't know what to do. To defend his zombro and attack Xiu's team or to defend himself and attack Danny's? He didn't really want to do either, but that drum to the face that he'd gotten from Amphi was still making him dizzy, and so, when he picked up one of his own drums to throw, he was quite uncoordinated, so it pretty much just crashed into his own team, bowling into Amrita before barely spinning off towards Paramourne
It might have nudged against Danny's leg.

Barely avoiding the barreling drum before it hit, Mort only had a few seconds to straighten up before the lasso'd mic went at him.
Thunk
Now Mort was particularly sensitive about his head since it was only connected to his body through the ring of stitches about his neck, and well . . . headshots, man. When the mic snapped against his temple, he instinctively grasped and yanked it and the poor cowboil towards him to get smacked by the guitar in retaliation with a small growl.
And thus began the greatest name confusion in typing: Mort vs Mot.

People with broken guitars needed support groups too.

Ears pricking up, Xiu lifted her arms and waved them over her head in Gene's direction. The look on her face suddenly became extremely panicked as she tried to reassure the other ghoul.
"W-wait, of course that's not it! I'll always be happy to bake with you! Anytime, okay?"

Sorry Alex, Amrita was actually pretty useless right now. Especially when you bowl right into her and knock her off balance. A ghoul with backwards feet wasn't always the most stable to begin with! Her attempted swing at Danny('s tail) quite failed, the mic bouncing harmlessly off the ground.

Amphi was still sending things flying around.
She felt really bad though when it hit the cowboil Mot.Really really bad.
And even worst when the whole drumset collapsed on her. Like Karma.
Their band was doomed. Can somebody please get the little mermaid buried underneath?

But no, instead she had to deal their team's final, triumphant blow of defiance.

Knight in shining armor Danny to the rescue. She left Lizzy's side and went to pick up the drum pieces that were crumpled around Amphi. Poor thing. They weren't' even all that heavy- but Danny didn't tel lthe mermaid that.
She simply dusted the ghoul off and said, "Are you okay?"

"I-I'm beginning to wonder if I'll need to hide my face for a week too," Xiu admitted, offering a sheepish smile towards Gene, "But...but do you have my number? We really should meet up and do some baking sometime!"
...Why were they having this conversation in the middle of a battle?
The end of Xiu's tail poofed out in alarm as she watched the drumset collapse on Amphi. Even though Danny was already there in an instant to help get the mermaid out, Xiu skittered towards them as well...only to slip at the last moment, knocking into both ghouls as she fell to the ground.
...
