PinkieKitty Yes! They go by both titles. Haha, I thought you were talking about 50 Shades of Grey, and that you loved that book, and I was about to be extremely embarrassed for trashing a book you love. ^_^ Haha, yeah. There are fanfictions better then 50 Shades of Grey.

It doesn't have to be the plot of the actual book (that would be bad), but a room based off of it. I thought about this theme last year, and rooms might be something like... Moby-d**k-- What else? They're on the deck of a ship, hunting down the whale that harmed the captain (killed his parents, took his leg, whatever you want). Shakespeare-- A more romantic-themed room in Renissance style, with identity mix-ups, marriages, sword fights, Shakespearian insults, and maybe even a death or two. O_o Frankenstein-- A horror-based room set in a mad science lab! The hosts are working to bring a corpse back to life! Great Gatsby-- A 1920s bootleg party! Pool, flapper dresses, bobbed hair, and a lot of sleeze. Huck Finn-- A party on the Mississippi River! We have a classic hoedown. You could also do rooms based off of Grim Fairy Tales, Harry Potter ( iif that counts), Treasure Island, or stories of the Knights of the Round Table. There's a lot of ideas you can put into this one, without using the actual plot of the books, which people may or may not have actually read. Most people know the gist of these books. Dracula please! I'm pretty sure Harry Potter falls under cannot use due to being under copyright. I remember that being mentioned in regards to themes last year. Dracula! emotion_dowant Yeah, I figure modern books within the last several decades don't count. and Dracula would cover the Victorian Era! There could be this lovely mansion full of wealthy aristocrats that are all falling over dead one-by-one due to mysterious blood loss from the neck. The guests have to try to figure out who among them is Dracula, who can even be posing as a guest him/herself and not be listed as part of the official staff for extra sneakiness. It would be like a murder party! It reminds me of the classic book "And Then There Were None", where people are dying one by one and you have to figure out who the murderer is. As long as we don't say specifically what the books are, we could use any piece of classic lit. I still wouldn't risk it with any modern books (if anyone suggests 50 shades of grey I will vomit on them like a demon). Agatha Christie's novels alone would make for an interesting theme, but I think a lot of them are still under copyright protection. There's plenty of books out there that have completely fallen out of copyright that I wouldn't even risk using one [even using it without citing what it is] that still is protected. 50 Shades of Grey is known to be outright porn. I would consider it not usable even if there were no copyright issues as the content of the book itself is known to break Gaia's Rules/TOS... [and besides, it's reputed to have started out as Twilight fan fiction, yuck!]

Shakespeare Mix-Up and the Western Zodiac are still my two favourite themes. I'll expand on those ideas afterwards.
Another good Classic novel though would be Phantom of the Opera. Definitely a more musical room. And The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is an awesome classical fave of mine as well. I think both could lend themselves well to a classic literature theme. And of course Alice in Wonderland.
I think a prominent time periods theme would be nice, though I'm not sure if a time period has been done before or not, or was only a suggestion last year. We could have the Victorian England, The Middle Ages, Ancient Greece, the Renaissance, Cave-days, one of many Chinese Dynasties, etc.

Light Kail Hmm a theme what about A museum with different themed rooms like a future room and a caveman room and so on. The plot could be that a strange force has sealed up the rooms of the museum and to put it back to normal the people in each locked realm must work together to collect five special objects from that exhibits time period and use the objects as a key to open a chest or something and solve a small puzzle that can be created by the rooms host or by others. This theme could be modified a lot of ways I just had to put this idea in print before I lost it . Sorry for the wall of text
