> I may make Cusick a gender CC Raevan, where Kyou would ultimately pick the gender. This would mean adding a second persona, a female one, to the quest page to show the differences. This is because I'm not sure which gender I'd prefer to play in the long run and I'm stuck on this idea of playing a giddy sort of character.
Here's what I have so far in thoughts/comparison.
Male (Cusick):
> Starts out very naive, hyperactive, and curious. > Overtime, realizes that his looks can get him rewards or out of trouble. Abuses this revelation and gets himself beaten up. > Due to the beating, Cusick withdraws and becomes paranoid of every day situations. Essentially "flips" in personality, from the happy extreme to the anxious extreme.
Female (Jana or Pahana):
> Starts out bossy, hyperactive, and brazen. > Overtime, her bossy streak gets the better of her and it becomes a prideful side. It ultimately strains her friendships and causes her to lose some as well. > Has to overcome her prideful side, swallow it, and apologize for being bossy and controlling.
I view Cusick as the weaker of the pair, because he has an open, sensitive core. He's capable of being molded or shaped by the world around him and doesn't quite know how to avoid that. Everything is a game until he gets bit, and then it's no fun anymore.
Jana/Pahana on the other hand, is more like a brick wall and doesn't let the little things get to her until it's too late. (When all her friends have left her and she discovers she's all alone) She may be hyperactive and cheerful like Cusick, but she's far more strong willed and independent.
I don't know which I like more, but I do know that I would be more than happy with either. Leave me your thoughts, guys! <3

Q: For my own curiosity, in what ways has Oliver tried to quit? From you mentioning the withdrawal, it sounds like he's only tried going cold turkey. Has he tried gum or Nicotine patches? What about electronic or vapor cigarettes?
A: Oliver has tried the gum before, but found that the taste was too hard to get over. At the moment, I see him considering Nicotine patches, because of how hard going cold turkey can be. However, he's stubborn about it because he feels that taking walks and working through it on his own will eventually work in the long run. I suppose he's on the fence, sort of comfortable with how he's handling it, while keeping his mind on other options just in case he needs them.
Q: With how friendly, amiable, and caring Oliver is, it's difficult for me to believe he wouldn't have more friends to fill up his free time with. He isn't described as especially introverted or awkward, is there a reason for this?
A: Oliver isn't introverted or awkward, his loneliness is due to distance and time constraints. He freely invites his friends over when they're around. Oliver's friends have varying careers, some involving frequent travel around the world, which makes get togethers difficult to organize. This is why he's open and friendly, but often alone.
Q: Why was this (to become an English professor) his dream in particular? His parents obviously taught him to love learning but why English?
A: Oliver loves to read and write, and has always enjoyed those things. He wanted to pass this passion onto others and decided that becoming a professor would be the best route.
Q: Why would anyone skip college classes regularly, especially when you're attending an expensive college? Of course doing so from time to time is expected but how frequently was he actually skipping? It almost sounds like he wasn't attending at all.
A: This is actually something that I've seen first hand. My brother was accepted to an expensive school and decided that he would spend his time goofing off instead of doing any real work. He would sleep all day and barely touch his assignments. XD I know it sounds impossible, but if you give someone enough lee-way, it's entirely plausible.
Q: Oliver has never ever been described as easily falling prey to peer pressure or bullying. This comes out of left field as a result.
A: This is not a trait that is or will be a part of him, this is solely because of how young he was and because he was away from home. A few of his friends from town had been accepted into the same college and fraternity, and they were the reason why Oliver decided it was okay to begin skipping classes and smoking. Some people will follow their friends off a cliff if they're close enough. XD He was young, impressionable, and followed. When he got kicked out and sent back home, though, he realized his error and worked hard to get a grip on his life again. He matured.
Q: So clearly Oliver's reason for applying to care for a raevan is out of loneliness. However, what's stopping Oliver from just making more friends? Why isn't he interested in a romantic partner? Does he actually want children? If so, why wouldn't he adopt through more traditional channels?
A: Oliver does have friends, as I've explained above, but they work in jobs that require them to travel. He isn't trapped in his home, either, and visits with his neighbors frequently. What I was trying to convey with him being alone in his house all the time was the fact that he would like someone there with him. However, even if a partner could potentially fill this void, logically speaking, Oliver is happy being single and doesn't want to get married just yet.
Oliver does want children, despite not having a partner to raise them with, and has only just gotten knee deep in his search for the right path to take. He had considered a more traditional route and narrowed his list down to a few choices when he found information on Raevans. The idea of Fel Essences was what intrigued him at first, because they're natural things behaving exactly how they shouldn't, but adding a soul to it in order to create a new being was what hooked him. Raevans are unnatural beings that can be made with things from nature, something that Oliver already adored. He couldn't think of a reason why he couldn't pursue adopting a Raevan as his own, because of that reason.
Q:As a professor, is he prepared for the time it will take to juggle caring for another person on top of his classes and grading all of his papers?
A: Yes, he feels very much that he is ready, and already has a spare room set up. XD He's been ready for a while.
Q: How familiar is he with magic and the supernatural, because he seems pretty mundane -- which isn't a bad thing -- but would he be taken by surprise by a lot of the components of Raevans? Remember the setting is Gaia, so this sort of thing isn't especially unusual; though, as a human, it makes sense for him to be unfamiliar with a proper understanding of certain things.
A: Oliver is very excited by magic and is not at all daunted by the components of a Raevan. Like I said above, Oliver loves nature, and the fact that Raevans are unnatural and have natural things within them at the same time, is what made him decide to adopt a Raevan in the first place.

LOOKS :
Oliver has cream blonde hair which is curly and reaches his upper neck with fringe over his eyes. His eyes are teal and his skin is pale. He stands about 5'10" and weighs 150lbs. He is lean and healthy despite his smoking habit, and even has some muscle due to his love of hiking.
Oliver wears comfortable, cotton fabrics, such as sweaters and plain slacks. He favors browns and creams, though he may wear a vibrant orange or light blue from time to time.
PERSONALITY :
Oliver has always been the calm, peaceful individual with a warm, friendly smile. He'll greet you like a friend and treat you like brother. A genuine soul occupies his body and a humble mind controls his movements. He'll help you off your feet and give you time to heal. You can almost always expect a cup of tea and cookies served with a good dose of TLC with Oliver around.
Although he is peaceful and warm most of the time, you'd best not push his buttons. If he feels he is being used, he'll confront you about it. If you have to break a promise, you'd better be prepared with a clear, honest reason why. He'll give you chances to redeem yourself, but he won't be patient forever.
Oliver is quiet and reserved without company. His home is filled with art and warm colors, but being alone takes the cheer out of him. He'll read a book, write a poem, or even watch the rain fall from outside his window if he's bored enough. He admits to being lonely, but denies any need for a romantic partner. All he needs, he says, is cup of tea and good friend to spend the day with.
HISTORY :
Oliver was born in Barton in a house close to a dense forest. His mother and father both worked as teachers in the local school system and instilled a love of learning in their children early on in their lives. He was the third born of four children and had an uneventful childhood. The usual arguments and sibling rivalries happened, but for the most part, Oliver's early life was a smooth ride.
Once Oliver had moved out of the house to pursue his dream of becoming an English professor, his life started to take a different turn. He was accepted to an expensive "frat-boy" college where his room mates began to pressure him into smoking, drinking and skipping classes. Within one year, Oliver was addicted to cigarettes, constantly hung over, and was booted out of the college for his failing grades.
After failing university, Oliver went to community college and cleaned up his act. His love of teaching was rekindled and his motivations set back to full gear. He graduated with his PhD and went on to teach at the very community college he graduated from. Since then, Oliver became all that he could ever want. He's a well liked and respected college professor, he lives close to nature trails, and most importantly, he feels that he has that sense of accomplishment he had worked so hard for.

- Increased Speed: The Cheetah can run at up to speeds of 72 Mph and can accelerate from 0 to 62 Mph in three seconds. I can imagine Cusick racing around Barton just as fast.
- Vocalization: Cheetahs are very vocal creatures, despite not being about to roar. They chirp to find one another, churr or stutter to express themselves in social situations, and of course, growl, yowl, and purr like other cats. The Raevan would be able to be as vocal as a Cheetah, and may be able to communicate with other animals this way as well. (Up in the air about that last part)

Oliver had a Little Lamb
Oliver had a Little Lamb, London lamb, London lamb And everywhere that London went, The scent of Lavender did, too.
London went to town one day, To visit a friend or two, And began to see the world in a thousand colors, All swirled into one.
He got lost in this strange world, And caused Oliver to worry, But one week later he did turn up, Hiding under a neighbor's shrub.
"Where have you been?" Oliver did say, "Around the world in 80 days." London did reply.
