Ares yelped with pain as he was struck by the powerful burn. This wasn't going well for him, his master would be furious. He had been doing so well...
Clyde was glowering at his pokemon for not dodging that last burn. "Continue with the Facades and you better hit hard!"

Walpurgis watched expressionless as Clyde berated his pokemon. The vulpix was doing well, all thing considered. Gangrel was much more experienced, however, and that was coming into play. The threats would likely prove detrimental.
To Gangrel, he declared, "Keep it up, Gangrel. Defense Curl to dodge!"
The rattata nodded, rolling out of the way of Are's attack.

Ares growled at the Rattata and would have fallen for the Taunt if he had not been inflicted by the last of the powerful burn. His growl was cut off as his eyes slipped shut and he slumped to the floor. He had lost.
Clyde made a fist. They were so close, but that didn't count for anything. His pokemon had failed him again. He needed to train them harder. Wordlessly, he returned his pokemon. "You're quite the battler, no wonder you almost had that Shadow Mew,"

Gangrel hopped up onto Walpurgis' shoulder, who scratched the rattata behind the ears as he spoke. "Thank you, although Gangrel and Satori are the ones who did the work. I merely directed." The rattata hopped up onto his head and curled up. "This is just a suggestion, so take it how you will, but I think you treat your pokemon too harshly. They are more likely to do what you wish with kindness rather than threats. But, that is simply how I feel. It works for us, but maybe not for you. Mull over it, if you want."
Walpurgis sighed. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get Satori healed. I'd recommend you do the same for Hestia and Ares." Assuming there was nothing else, Walpurgis turned and headed off to the medical ward with Gangrel upon his head.

Clyde stared down at the pokeball still in his hand. Could his punishments be hurting his pokemon rather than making them stronger? He didn't want to think of that, but nevertheless he nodded and replied, "...It's possible. Maybe I'll try it sometime. Maybe. Thank you for the advice, I suppose." Clyde wasn't sure how to take it. Pokemon were tools, living data. Did it really matter how he treated them? He was never taught that.
"Yeah. I'll get them healed soon too," For the moment, Clyde needed to read something.
