"Sure." He moved to offer his assistance, his movements almost autonomous and his attentions elsewhere. He didn't recognize any distinct thoughts in his mind. There was a recognition that it was kind of awkward to walk in total silence, but there was also the understanding that Yuri was probably pretty sick of talking.

Yuri had already lost a lot of dignity the past few days. At this point, what was a little more? Thus he allowed Luke to support and help him get back to his tiny apartment. Repede walked ahead of them as the going was slow, keeping watch and leading the way.
When they got there Yuri fumbled with the key but managed to unlock the door. Once inside he went straight to the freezer and pulled out an ice pack he kept on hand for such reasons. Pressing to his jaw the man grimaced and then crashed on his bed, exhausted.
Luke would find his sword hanging on the wall next to Emil's, waiting for him. The blade was clean and in perfect shape, well cared for.

Luke had nearly forgotten that Emil had discarded his sword as well, though it wasn't surprising that he didn't yet miss it. Passingly he wondered if the boy would ever take it up again; it certainly seemed to be an inarguable truth that one needed to be prepared to defend oneself at any time after departing from the public eye. He made a mental note to ask Emil about it later, if only because he didn't want the younger boy to meet similar danger.
It was not without some hesitation that Luke carefully took the sheath in hand. It was hard to have a hand on the hilt without remembering the last time he'd held the weapon. It was easy, though, to villainize himself since he had survived the encounter. If he hadn't acted and Emil or Yuri had been hurt or killed, how differently would he have felt about the matter? Probably a lot like he did now, knowing that because he hadn't acted anything could happen to Mieu and he would be none the wiser. He drew a few inches of the blade from its sheath.
"You took great care of this," he said offhandedly. "Thanks. I really owe you." For a lot of things, really, the most recent of which being to make up for not pulling that girl off her feet and restraining her while he had that grip on her wrist. Damn it all.

He wanted to sleep forever, but Yuri just sat on the edge of his bed with the ice pack held against his face as he watched Luke retrieve his sword. At the words of gratitude, Yuri waved his free hand dismissively, and the undamaged corner of his mouth twitched slightly.
"S'not a big deal," he said in a muffled voice.
What can he say? Yuri really likes swords, and he couldn't just let Luke throw his away, nor let it just sit there in disrepair and filth.
"From t'h way thing're goin' though, I migh' be cashin' in tha favor some time."
The two of them seemed to be getting into a lot of trouble lately. ... Well. Ever since they'd met actually. Come to think of it... his bad luck seemed to have started when he met Luke. HM.

Luke would have been inclined to blame Kodo for all the misfortune, had the subject been anywhere in his thoughts. The biggest struggles he'd faced prior to arriving in the region were matters such as how to fill his free time when he'd already reread his favorite stories and Guy wasn't around for sparring matches. On the worst of days the most he had to contend with was his father's lectures.
He nodded briefly, "Just let me know when and what." Under normal conditions he wasn't adverse to helping out his friends, and on days when he wanted to occupy his thoughts with inconsequential distractions, he was ready and willing.

... Well okay.
Yuri was being a bit facetious when he'd said that about the favor, but Luke seemed to take it completely seriously. Thing is though, it could very well be true. The man was currently defenseless without his sword, save for his one dog. There might come a time when he would need to borrow Luke's sword. Or who knows what else. He didn't really want to think about that though. Hopefully it wouldn't come to such a thing.
Black eyes tilted towards Luke, looking down at the sword then back up at the boy himself.
"Y'gonna be okay with tha'?"
Yuri wasn't an idiot, he knew what the boy was struggling with and that he hadn't gotten over it yet.

Luke held the sword in his hands a while longer, reacquainting himself with the weight of it - it felt heavier than he remembered - before returning it to the attachments on his belt so it would hang at his back. "It'll be fine," he said, and though his hand lingered stubbornly on the hilt, his tone lacked the resolution to imply he believed in those words. It didn't really matter if he would be okay or not; he needed to recover the ability to use his sword before he wound up in another situation where he couldn't defend himself.
What Luke did understand well, though, was that Yuri didn't look like he would be particularly interested in exchanging one-liners or otherwise idle conversation, "Well, I'll get out of here so you can rest, yeah?"

Welp. That was that then. If Luke said it was fine, that was good enough for Yuri. He had no lack of confidence in the boy's ability to get through it. He seemed pretty resolved, so the kid would be fine. Plus he seemed to be reading Yuri's mind. Man, were they getting to know each other that well already?
"Yeah," was Yuri's only response. It may have sounded a bit cold, but really... he did need his rest.
Repede looked up at Luke stoically but wagged his tail and gave a single bark.

He nodded briefly, acknowledging both Repede and Yuri's response, before moving to leave, "Take it easy."

Yuri didn't say anything and let Luke leave. Truth is, he didn't really know what else to say. The guy had lost something important to him, and he didn't know how he could get it back. Or if it was even possible. Any words of comfort would seem rather... hollow right now. But damn if he wasn't gonna kick some Team Rocket a** whenever he got the chance.
Once Luke was gone, the black haired man finally flopped back on his bed with a groan. Yeah, he definitely needed time to sleep this off.
