"Er, maybe you should get your revenge when you're on the ground?" Roch offered, wincing at the sound of the tree branch cracking. "Cuz we already seen he can fly--what about draggin' him to the gym?"
He didn't foresee this ending well.

Lou just sat there, waggling his eyebrows as the cat ghoul approached. It was like an angler fish luring its unsuspecting victim right into the danger zone. Sure. She might've been a hob, but Riyo was also impulsive. Her emotions ate at her. They controlled her. And with that, Lou noted she was fairly easy to manipulate. "Hey hedgehog, ever seen a cat fly?" The boil asked the reaper below.
---
Sure. Riyo could hear what Roch was saying. If she had half a sense to see through her blinding rage, maybe she would've been able to process the words as well. It had been a long time since the feline was this angry. Furious enough to act illogically. All she wanted to do was wrap her hands around his scrawny little neck and squeeze until the joints of her fingers were in pain. Everything. EVERYTHING was going wrong and this boil was at the center of it.
Even if the ghoul had managed to come to her senses at that moment when she stood next to him, it would've been too late anyways. SNAP went the branch. POOF went the vampire. And finally CRASH went the kitty cat.
To answer the question: No. She didn't always land on her feet.

Roch let out a groan and started down the tree, intent on saving--or at least healing the poor cat from her own stupidity. Lou was forgotten... for now.

Perhaps now was the opportune time to fly the coop, as one might say. This time, Lou reformed on the ground a short distance away from the scene, pulling out his eyephone to take a picture of where the feline made a crater in the dirt. "Maybe I'll be a photojournalist someday. I'm certainly good at exploitation." The boil mused as the flash went off. No time to stick around, lest his beautiful face ended up with the daily bruises. He'd gone two days without being hit. At a week he'd break his last record.
---
And there Riyo lay. Face down. Unmoving. Still conscious somehow, though she didn't rightfully care to admit it. Was she ashamed? Slightly. Was she still mad? More than anyone could imagine. She'd hoped that taking a short breather on the ground would help her calm, but it was so hard when she could still hear that awful creature's voice just a few feet away.
Her hands balled up into fists shortly before she felt around the ground for a nice, big rock. Yes. This rock. This rock would help her seek vengeance. Clutching the jagged item, the feline lifted up only slightly before she drew her arm back and let her wrath fly. In all honesty she had been aiming for his face, but she would take hitting him in the crotch has a consolation prize.
"I'm okay." Riyo groaned, returning to the semi-comfortable imprint of herself on the ground. "Just gonna... Lay here for a second." Or two. or 500.

Roch dropped down next to her, watching the rock go flying, then digging in his pocket and pulling out a sucker. "Sucker?" he offered. (Such consolation, bro, we're proud of you.)
Then he made himself comfortable, figuring she'd get her breath back and race after the annoying vamp--and he would go back to trying to take a nap. Wait... hadn't he been doing something?
Eh, oh well.

"I hate sweets." The ghoul groaned, hearing the satisfying squeal of a man who had just been damaged. You'd think with all the daily nut shots the boil took, he'd be immune by now. But no, he retreated. Like a dog with its tail tucked inbetween its legs.
Riyo wanted to give chase, but her body certainly didn't. "Shouldn't be too hard to find him again." She sighed, glancing up at the tree she had fallen from. Could've been worse, she supposed. She could've missed with the rock.
