Amphi blinked as she heard the deep baritone of her hunter friend? Could she consider him her friend now? Now that she hated hunters with a passion that it surprised even herself? She did tremble in Roch's arms though, Fear that Wash would put her back in the cell, make her suffer like the other hunters did.

And then he said their promise and she gave into that tiny bit of trust for him. Patting Roch's arm, she pointed at the hunter and shook her head, as if to say don't hurt him, he was good. He was the only one that was good.

With no voice to tell him, she pointed at herself, then to Wash and made all sorts of complicated hand gestures that were suppose to symbolize that he was in danger if he helped them. He was already in danger of the students around him!

She was getting frustrated at the lack of voice, wanting to explain to Wash that she was going home now. That if he wanted to help, perhaps he could keep other hunters off them? And if not, She didn't want to see him hurt!

Shun paused as he heard the hunter in the room speak, shooting a glare towards the man with the shield.

"Don't listen to him," he hissed out at Roch, "These hunters are filled with nothing but lies."

That said, he looked back towards Mitsu. She hadn't said anything yet and she was still looking really bad. Feeling as though something was constricting around his heart, he held her close, trying to soothe her. Shifting his hold on her, he was getting ready to lift her up so that they could head back to the portal. But as he began to stand, he felt a sharp pain shooting through his side, keeping him down.

"Kusoooo..." he hissed while riding it out. This wasn't good. He may need a moment or so before he could carry her.

Time was ticking on by, however. But... if he was unable to bring her out, or leave on his own power, he would gladly remain back if it meant that she could make it home.

So for now, he continued to hold her close, gently stroking her ear to try and calm her down. How did she get like this? Just what the hell did those hunters do to her?

The wolfos eyed the human wary. "I trust with actions, not words son of man. Prove an ally and then I will hold faith." Snorting he looked back at Danny and Roch. "I can carry only two on my back, anymore and the weight will slow me down." He sniffed over at Yin, giving the boil a nudge with his nose. "Worry later Yin Cang, this battle is won for a time, you have others waiting for you."

Tail flicked with worry as he muttered to himself. "Are they all so weak?" A quick glance had him worried. They were weak, and their 'rescue' team was near broken at best. "We're lingering." He snorted. "If four can be carried, I will take the other two. Roch, you can carry your mate yes?" Red eyes went to Shun and Christof. "And you your's. That leaves one without an escort. One of use will need to take them. I can take the other two and those not carrying will need to flank us. The core is those who need the shield, and outer the fangs and claws to fend off attackers. The faster we get them to the school and safety the better."

He was agitated, tail flicking back and forth.

Thank jack, Mitsu was still there. But it concerned her just how..frail she looked, hiding away in Shun's embrace. In fact, they all looked tired. They needed to get out of here as soon as possible.

She could see there was a hunter in the room, and she bared her teeth at Wash, but it seemed Roch was confronting him, so she turned her attention back to the others.

"Frost, I can help carry a few back" she said to the wolfos. "I can manage about two if I need to fly, but if we're walking I can carry three of them"

Wash just stood there awkwardly, neither confirming or denying. Amphi...they all looked so bad. Worse than they had before. He'd already failed his promise, and it hurt his heart.

He held out his shield. "You got alot 'a wounded, right? Your group's small. I can help. I can defend the weak ones." He laughed, and it was a harsh sound, an unpleasant sound. "Just me bein' here, not attackin' you all, I'm a dead man walking. Don't matter if you let me help you or not." He shrugged wide shoulders. Truthfully, what he was doing was terrifying, probably scarier than anything he'd faced here, but he couldn't do nothing. He couldn't let his fellows make this kind of a mistake.

This was the kind of sinning you couldn't just wash off.

He gestured at Amphi. "I promised that girl I'd protect her. Some job I did- but I'd like to make it up. This is all wrong- this isn't supposed to be what we're about. Kidnappin'. Torturing. We're supposed to be, like, defending the innocent." Wash shook his head, mouth twisting at the corners.

Shun could hear the hunter, but he still wasn't buying it.

"I still don't trust him. A hunter's words is how Mitsu got here in the first place. And look at her now," he said lowly, refusing to look at the shield bearer. The way the lycan sort of choked out a word, had him grimacing. Gently, he set her down while trying to see if he could find some way of removing her collar. Damn these hunters. With each moment he spent, seeing her so weak like this, he felt a sort of rage and hatred build up within.

The hunter here spoke nice. But that was probably all it was in the end.

Glancing towards King and Poke, he let out a breath.

"I may need aid with her. Just.. give me a few moments. I'll see if I can carry her on my own."

Danny's head snapped over at the hunter. "You tortured them?!" She looked down at the mantis practically oozing into her arms like a puddle of goop. "They tortured you!?" She looked over at Amphi. Poor, innocent, beautiful Amphi- tortured?

She grabbed Yin around the waist with one arm and gestured to King with the other. "Yin I think you should ride on King. We need to get out of here. Now."

Jack hunters. She wasn't trusting another one of these ... these things as long as she lived. "Amphi get away from him. You don't ... You can't ..." She was at a loss for words. Danny had never been very eloquent with her feelings. She just knew how backhanded the hunters were from direct experience. They told you they'd release you and then shot you in the throat. They promised you an escape and then ambushed you in the library. "Amphi ..." she pleaded, "Please."

Nodding at Shun, he understood. "You're skilled with the blades. Carried or defending, your skills are invaluable." The wolfos looked to poke. "Flight would be best. Humans lack the advantage unless they have a ranged weapon." Red eyes shot to Wash, near snarling before going back to the dragon. "If you take to the skies you should have an escort still. Danny." The wolfos barked at her. "Could you escort Poke in flight to the portal back?"

The human got another look. "And indeed, my faith in the son of man is weak. If you are so keen on helping then find us a pumpkin pill, take arms to your kin and clan. Stop speaking and go take action aside from standing and speaking words."
Looking back to Yin his expression softened. "No my friend, you will ride. The less energy you spend the better." He looked around. Had one gone missing? Oh well, there were other before in need of help, that was where he'd focus his energy.
