Ewan
A deafening ringing, the locking up of muscles...Where we he? What happened? All he could hear was that ringing, soundless screams directed his way. Again and again the screams called for him, not a single word reaching him over the noise deafening his ears. A hand helped him to his feet, questions rapid-fire despite the futility. The words began to flow, deafness slipping away as sound returned to the disgruntled Sage. "Soldiers down! We need to regroup and take care of the situation as per our orders!" A quick shake of his head, the gut-wrenching smell of burning flesh snapped him back to reality. He remembered now...
The shockwave had knocked him off his feet while he was following Amelia's instructions. An explosion had ripped through their lines just as their visitor had revealed their existence, his stalling tactics having payed off. They had fallen for it hook line and sinker. At least he was one of the lucky ones...Those behind him had been closer to Ground Zero, gone in an instant. Those who were less lucky were already screaming, their voices twisted and distorted as smoke filled their lungs and the fire melted the skin. His expression hardened as he fought back the urge to vomit, never quite getting used to the sight even after his own handiwork.
Back on his feet and aware of the situation, Ewan raised his hand and beckoned towards Amelia. "Those still of able-body regroup towards General Amelia! We need to stop the rest of the city from going up in flames! Mages, stay together and help the wounded! Some of these men are in need of critical care! See what you can do about the flames and assistance! The tents have been hit, GO GO GO PEOPLE!"

"Many times I've fought, and many times I've fallen, but I'll never give in when I hear you callin'!" x - [Leon Vatara] - x ▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ After a fruitless search and a meaningless wait, Leon was sure that his group would return to Amelia and just report that all was well. That assumption was wrong though. The Watch Captain was going to chime in the discussion between Isadora and Wallace, but then something disrupted their relaxed atmosphere. A sudden BOOM rang throughout the area. Leon shielded his eyes from the dust that flew forward before he understood what just happened.
Even Anri grew fearful. The war horse, normally hungry for battle and even a little bloodthirsty, took a few steps back. The situation and the others' reactions to it left him uneasy. By the time Leon stopped shielding his face, Isadora was far ahead of him.
"Lady Isadora, come back!" Leon called out to her, as he directed Anri forward in pursuit. He only thought of Amelia when the Dame Knight started to shout her name. With that huge wall of debris in the way though, there would be no getting past. "Milady, we can't get to her right now unless we find another way around!" Leon exclaimed. He got off Anri and tried to dig out one of the soldiers from the rubble, but it was a hard effort alone. "Let's pull ourselves together! Save who we can! We'll have to act and lead on our own without 'Melia's command until we can regroup."
"This ain't the kind of thing she'd get herself caught up in, right? There ain't any way it's possible..." Leon thought. If his trusted teammate was really caught up in the explosion, or Goddess forbid, on ground zero, even the fearless Watch Captain might have a hard time following his own advice.
Captain Vatara shook his head. He couldn't let himself get carried away! With a final exertion of his strength, Leon was able to hold up a pile of debris with his shoulder. "Milady Isadora, anyone! Gimme a hand here! We'll help the wounded get somewhere safe, and then we'll find ourselves the pyro responsible for this."▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ x - [Watch Captain] - x

"You can't blame yourself. Blaming yourself and falling into depression, it won't change anything. You have to look →forward→. Remember what you have here now. Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from Elibe or anywhere else!" {Amelia}"You either have to stop them from lighting the fuse, or disable the bombs before we can get to them."
The masked man's words rang in Amelia's ears as she struggled to her feet again - along with the ringing from the explosions that had occurred just a handful of feet away from her, of course. Her armor had protected her from the brunt of the debris, but judging by the screaming, some of the others weren't so lucky. How many were in the buildings that exploded? Who are we missing now? Who's hurt? How did these people escape our notice? Where were they hiding? Amelia rubbed a hand against her left cheek, burned from the sheer heat from the explosion, and tried to ignore how part of her upper arm felt the same way.
Ewan, at the least, had recovered before her, and he was already calling to the other soldiers. Amelia lifted her spear high for a moment to act as a focal point, steel head catching the light amidst the smoke. "Attention!"
"This is how it's going to happen! Clerics and bishops, tend to the wounded! Take care with nearby footsoldiers that no one's still alive in any of the blast sites! I want the remainder of the Third Mage Unit to split up amongst the remaining teams, at least two per team! Lance unit Alpha, team up with Cavalry unit Sigma, you're going to the north! Cavalry units Alpha and Beta, to the south! Axe units, remaining lancers, Sword unit Alpha, split up between the east and the west! Archers, you're with Sword unit Delta, get up to the walls of the city! Remaining cavalry, Ewan, you're with me! We are going to flush these sons of bitches out until there's nothing left of them!" She could feel the anger seeping into her bones, shaking hands gripping her spear more tightly. Or perhaps it was the pain from the burn on her face and down her arm, she wasn't quite sure. "You are to find those bandits and take them down, no exceptions! There might be other members of Drake's men, or the Shadow Guild, or perhaps Mordacheans here, there's no way to tell at this point! Do not let any more bombs fire! Look for gunpowder, suspicious barrels, sources of flame, enemy mages, whatever could cause a spark and whatever could be set ablaze! We are here to save Pentheus, not to bury it! Move, now!"
Amelia rubbed the side of her face, ears still ringing as the men scrambled into action, and a younger soldier hurried towards her with a Vulnerary. The General managed a quiet word of thanks before pouring out some of the liquid and rubbing it against the burn, wincing as she could feel the charred, bleeding flesh heal and stitch back together again.
"You." She looked over at a passing lancer on a horse, pointing at him with her open hand. The man looked over, momentarily bewildered before sitting upright at attention, saluting. "Confirm that the other commanders are still well. Ensure that they are aware of their orders. Bottom line, we are overturning every rock in this city if that's what it takes to keep Pentheus from turning into a smouldering pile of rubble."
She slowly let her shoulders start to buckle as the man rode away, and she looked around nervously for the others. Lady Isadora, Leon, Ewan... Everyone, I can only hope you're all right.
They're going to pay. {Graceful Spear} "What... I mean is... Being a member of the holy order doesn't mean you can't put your own wants first sometimes. The goddess is supposed to be all‑forgiving, right? You've worked hard and you deserve to do some things that make you happy. I think she'd forgive you for it."

Ewan "Stay with me! I know it hurts! Bite down like you were trained!" Ewan commanded to the soldier underneath him, a piece of bark bit down in his mouth that had been taken from his medical pouch. In his hand, Ewan held a staff to his arm, the smell of burning flesh overwhelming his nostrils as he held back the urge to cough. His staff illuminated, muscles and bone reconstructing in a rather painful process while Ewan kept his patient restrained. His focus kept to him, trying to keep the sound of his muffled screams out of mind. "That's it...We're almost done...You'll be fit to get up and at them in no time. Keep your vulnerary at your side and reapply it whenever needed." The sage lifted up his staff, moving down the line before Amelia's voice broke through the crowd.
He was needed elsewhere.
With a swift, practiced motion, Ewan tucked his staff in the holster on his back and beckoned for Cleric to take his position. "We're counting on you all! Get these men in stable condition and make sure you remember to keep clean! Use your water pouches and try to keep as sterile as you can if you need to get hands on!" A few confused glances went his way, which he quickly shrugged off. Ever since he had started to use staves, Ewan had dabbled into the medical field. Cleanliness was his number one policy when it came to his treatments, saved so much struggle when it came to recovery. Sometimes you had to sacrifice it for time's sake but...He wasn't going to let any complications happen on his watch.
"Amelia! I'm here...I'm here!"
Ewan called out, almost stumbling over himself as he rushed off after the General. Relief spread over his concealed features as he saw that she was perfectly fine, just a bit fried. His tome was removed from his side, giving a firm nod to his friend as he took his position by her side. "Just give the order, we'll flush out the bastards in no time."

Boom.
The sound of an explosion reached Sunil's ears, coming from behind him. He slid to a halt, his paws grinding against the dirt as he glanced back towards Pentheus. The city... that Beorc city had exploded. He had his suspicions about why the enemy would just desert the place like that before running off into the desert, and now it made sense.
It was to split their forces, and those who were left to search the city for lagging enemies were now prey to explosives and rubble falling onto them.
Were there causalities? The cat grit his teeth. He shouldn't have left them behind. He should have stayed with them. At this rate, things were going to...
End up just like...
Cue flashback.
"Sunil, we gotta get out of here!" a young tiger called out to him, reaching out for his hand. "It ain't safe! The building's gonna collapse!"
It was that night, the one where he had lost everything. Slave traders had set the orphanage on fire. Fire was a Beast Laguz's greatest foe, so naturally all the children scattered. But there were some who didn't make it out on time, and so Sunil and the tiger boy he was with decided to try to get them out. Death by fire was one of the worst ways they could die, and those last moments of terror from being all alone before the flames consumed you were far more painful than actual death.
Sunil, the young cat grit his teeth. There were still screams of some of the kittens (the younger children) further down the hall. They could still be saved. Certainly, they could. All it took was a run down that hall, get into the room, and get them out, and there should still be enough time for all of them to get out. But... he made the choice he would forever regret and abandoned those poor souls. He could feel his heart breaking apart as he turned his back towards those screams to nod at the tiger.
As he and the tiger ran for the exit, a wall had collapsed and fell onto his tiger comrade. Sunil stopped and ran back to the tiger. "---------!" he cried out.
Weird... why couldn't he remember the name?
Sunil tried to help him, but he didn't have the strength to move the rubble by himself. Maybe if he had some help his friend could be saved, but the only help left in here they had just abandoned to the fire.
"Sunil, don't worry about me! This is nothing! --------- will show this rubble who's boss! Just go! I'll be out right behind ya! Promise!"
That's right... his friend did have a tendency to call himself in the third person sometimes. He was acting tough, but... there was something in his voice that made it seem like... no. He said he was going to be right behind him.
Sunil ran for the exit alone, tears streaming down his eyes. His hands stung from the burns he got from trying to move that wall on his own, but that wasn't the only reason he was crying. His friend said he was going to be right behind him, but there were only his footsteps aside from the sounds of the building being on fire.
He managed to escape that fiery death, but reality was cruel. The building didn't collapse for another couple of minutes. There was actually plenty of time to save those kids, and all of them could have made it out alive. And his friend, ---------, never made it out either.
"---------! You idiot! Y-you promised you'd be right behind me!" Sunil shouted at the building, fresh tears streaming down his eyes. "We were gonna make it through this together!" The cat then slumped to his knees, his heart shattering into tiny little pieces. "Why'd... why'd you have to leave me behind..."
But... the nightmare had only just begun...
End flashback.
It wasn't quite like what had really happened that night, but to be quite honest that night had plagued his dreams so often, changing small details each time, that he could no longer remember the truth of what happened. But it didn't change the fact that he had truly lost everything that day.
However, here was a similar situation. His friends were in that town, set ablaze from the explosion. Some of them were probably even hurt. There were probably going to be more explosions soon, and more people were going to get hurt.
It took the cat a moment to realize his front paws were hurting, but it wasn't from the sudden halt. If it was, his back paws would be hurting too.. No, it was those burns on his hands he got from that night trying to save his friend that were acting up. It had been a long time since then, but the injury never quite went away. That was part of the reason why he wore wraps on his hands and arms.
I can't correct that night, but... I'm not going to abandon my comrades this time. I want to try to help everyone and make sure we all get through this safely. This time everything will work out. Sunil told himself. That's what you want me to do, right? Go help everyone in that town, Friend-Who's-Name-I-Cannot-Remember? Consider it done.
As so, Sunil turned his back towards the Laguz Army and ran back towards the town. So what if they said he was deserting them? He was part of the Watch too, and they were inside Pentheus. He just considered it a change in priority. Let the other Laguz go chase after those bandits. This... this was something far more important than just winning a war.
Today, he was going to try to correct the mistakes he made all those years ago. And... if he was successful, this would be a strong first step towards moving on from his painful past.

It was a wonderful day out for patrol duty on the outskirts of Melior. Kieran Second commander of the Royal Knights of Crimea could have delegated the job to someone else, but after nearly hacking off a passing page's arm while he was swinging his axe around the General had suggested him to go and take a rookie out for training.
The rookie had at first been enthusiastic.
That had worn off around the time Kieran had regaled the rookie with his fifteenth story of glory and heroism.
"Ha, Rookie don't you get it?! I've been trying to tell you that every one of your fighting tools is your brethren! Axe! Armour! Gauntlets! Boots! Err... your rucksack! All of it are your brothers! You have to take good care of them or else you'll never get to be the Deputy Captain Commander of the Crimean Royal Knights! Don't you want to be like the Great Kieran? Why I remember the time I was fighting the Mutated Centipede of----" He had been saying as they rode through the gates of the city fondly reminiscing with his eyes closed.
BOOM
The next thing Kieran knew was that there was a loud sound behind him and he was suddenly flying through the air with the grace of... well of a surprised man in armour launched from a horse. His horse startled, surged forwards and actually ran past Kieran as the Paladin crashed to the ground and his world went black.
When Kieran woke up his first thought was, "What an odd place for me to fall asleep!" followed by the realization that his nap must have be quite a long one, for he couldn't see anything, it was so dark out, not only that but for some reason his body felt heavy. Leaning upwards, the rubble that Kieran had been buried under fell away and he noticed two things, one it was actually still midday and two someone seemed to have blown up Melior.
The Paladin was struck speechless as he jolted to his feet and looked around himself in shock. "Who could have done this?! My beloved Crimea! When did this happen?! Where did the Rookie go?! WHY WAS I NAPPING?! THERE IS NO GLORY IN NAPPING!"
Kieran had been born a man of action and by Goddess he'd die a man of action! Whistling for his trusty steed Horse, Kieran grabbed his axe which had been knocked out of the loop he kept it in on his saddle. Horse didn't take long to get back to him and looked about the same way Kieran felt, confused, angry and ready to crack the skulls of whoever did this.
"C'mon Horse! We ride for glory!" He shouted as he mounted up, "Did you hear me you scoundrels?! The Great Kieran Deputy Captain Commander of the Crimean Royal Knights will not lay still as his beloved home is blown to bits! I! Am! Your!" He spurred Horse into action, heading towards the market place at full tilt. "Doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!"

He couldn't provide the healing of a staff or give away elixirs, but he managed to pull a few people free with the help of Isadora. He looked to the right and left, trying to assess the damage. The smell of gunpowder and smoke quickly drifted into his nostrils. He covered up his nose.
"Let's try and find another way, Isadora!" Leon exclaimed, gripping Anri's reigns with one hand while he tried to turn the war horse around. "There's gotta be one somewhere-"
Leon's positive speech was interrupted by a very sudden, loud battle cry. The Watch Captain raised his shield in response, turning in the direction it sounded. He wasn't sure where Crimea or Melior were, or if he had even heard of those places. What was more important was the red-armored, red-headed knight was charging.
"Oy! Stop where ya are, sir!" Leon began speaking, giving demanding orders to the newcomcer.. He pointed to the Watch badge, which was used as a clip for his purple cape. Isadora coughed as dust were trying to enter her lung. It was hard to breath well with all the smoke and gunpowder lingering in the air. She heard Leon shout, saying something about needing to help the wounded. The paladin looked at Leon through her squinted eyes. The dust and gunpowder were stingy her eyes as she tried to hold back the tears.
"Leon, we don't know if the soldiers are alive under those debris." Isadora shouted as she got off her horse. It was unknown if there were soldiers underneath the rubble. Not to mention, how much damage did these unknown received from both the blast and the debris. Nonetheless, Isadora tried to dig through the rubble with Leon. Her main concern was to see if Amelia and the others were safe. She wasn't sure if Amelia was beneath the rubbles or not. Wanting to make sure if the little general was alive, Isadora continued to call Amelia.
Some of the debris were small and easy to remove. However, the rest were huge and heavy for them to move. It would take a group of soldiers to remove the debris. But right now, they don't have the proper equipments to remove the boulders. Unsatisfied that they couldn't remove the debris, the Dame Knight decided to climb it. She had to see if Amelia was alive and safe.
As she climbed about two feet, she then heard a shout. She recognized that voice immediately. It was Amelia, and she was giving out orders. The paladin let out a sigh of relief. Thank Saint Elimine that Amelia was safe. She was afraid that the general was dead.
Before the Dame Knight could shout out to Amelia, a new order that the general shouted silent her. What's this? There were bandits hidden in the city? And there are bombs in the city? How did this happen? She had the group do a search in the city. How could the group not notice any bombs in the city?
Just then, Isadora heard Leon shouted, saying that they needed to find another way. Another way? But they didn't have much time. Not with bandits and bombs roaming in the city.
"No Leon, we don't have time for that!" Isadora yelled back as she jumped down and raced toward her horse. "We have other things to worry about!"
The paladin quickly saddled herself on the horse and turned around to face the soldiers that were following her and Leon. "Listen up, men! There are bandits in the city! And to make matter worse, there are bombs hidden in the city! We need to find these bombs and stop the bandits before this city blows! Now MOVE!"
Having no time to see if the soldiers were following her orders, Isadora snapped her reins. She had to find those bandits and stop them from lighting those bombs. If more bombs explosed, there was no telling how much Pentheus could survive.
But before the Dame Knight could exit the alley, she saw something red and blurry coming in their direction. It was hard to see the face through the smoke and dust. Yet, it seemed familiar. Could it be?...
"... Kent?! Is that you?!" Isadora shouted at the newcomer. Before the paladin could get a clear view of the figure, she heard a man shouting out loud, saying something about Crimean and doom. Isadora bit her upper lip. She had no idea who this stranger was, but she had no time to deal with him. Right now, they had to deal with the bandits and stop the bombs with whatever little time they had left.
"Leon, now's not the time! We have important things in matter!" Isadora shouted. She then turned to the newcomer. "I don't know who you are, but we have no time to deal with you! This city is in danger! There are bandits roaming around, ready to set hidden bombs to explode! If you are an enemy, then I suggest you lay down your weapon and surrender! We have an army in front of you, outnumbering you! However, you are an ally, then help us find these bandits and stop them to light the bombs! If you do not wish to be involved in this, then leave this city as fast as you can! We don't know if this city will ever survive! Now make your decision immediately! We don't have much time to chat with bandits ready to blow the city!"

Kieran surged through the streets, he was ready, he had his axe, his trusty brother Horse, his armour shined and his mood was dark. There was only one problem... He couldn't find anyone to fight.
"Cowards! Where the hell are you!" He shouted, his booming voice could be heard throughout the entire city. "Hiding is no use! The Great Kieran, Deputy Captain Commander of the Royal Knights of Crimea will find you to deliver Justice! And for honour and all that other stuff!"
Horse was running like thunder, hooves clattering on cobblestone as man and beast charged forwards. Eventually they saw a man and woman on horseback (different horses mind you, Cornelius would not approve of Isadora sharing another mans horse), and some large bald man being flanked by soldiers.
"Aha! Enemies! Tremble for you now face Kieran! The Great Deputy Captain Commander of the Royal Knights of Crimea! It matters not how many you are for I am known best for the time that I held off thirteen drunken sellswords with nothing but a metal tray and my own two fists!" He roared at them, again loud enough for the whole city to hear. In response to the battle cry the man turned around and demanded Kieran stop and show him his badge.
"The only badge I need is my axe! Prepare for doom, villain!" He called from the other end of the street, still closing the distance. Kieran readied his axe, pulling it back slightly so he could take a swing at Leon when he reached him. When it was clear Kieran had no intention of stopping, the woman called out to him.
"I don't know who you are, but we have no time to deal with you! This city is in danger! There are bandits roaming around, ready to set hidden bombs to explode! If you are an enemy, then I suggest you lay down your weapon and surrender! We have an army in front of you, outnumbering you!"
"I don't care how many you are! You all shall fall by my axe for what you've done to beautiful Melior! The Great Kieran Deputy Captain Commander of the Crimean Royal Knights will not let this slight pas----"
"However, you are an ally, then help us find these bandits and stop them to light the bombs! If you do not wish to be involved in this, then leave this city as fast as you can! We don't know if this city will ever survive! Now make your decision immediately! We don't have much time to chat with bandits ready to blow the city!"
Kieran reared his horse back at the last bit. "Wait, wait ,wait wait." He said coming to a screeching stop. "Are you saying bandits did this?! Impossible! How could bandits have sunk into the capital city while I had my watchful eye upon it! No matter! If you arn't the ones who did this, then point me in the direction of those who did! Kieran Deputy Captain Commander of the Crimean Royal Knights will make them pay in blood!" He said, introducing himself for the fifth time.
Kieran waited for a response, however he looked slightly distracted and sniffed the air occasionally like a dog trying to pick up a lost scent, in addition if Leon or Isadora looked closely they'd notice him wobbling slightly in the saddle. When the two strangers were finished talking, Kieran raised a hand as if asking them to wait.
"Does anybody else smell burning feathers?" He asked, turning his head, searching for the source of the non-existant smell. As he did, he revealed to Isadora and Leon (Leadora, Isadeon?) the massive piece of wooden shrapnel embedded in the back of his head and gushing blood. "Hmmm," Kieran said turning to face them again. "Must be my imagination!"

If the situation wasn't so serious and dire, the Dame Knight would have facepalmed herself. Apparently, it seemed that the stranger was from another world like Miss Calill, believing that Pentheus was his capital city, Melior. Did he came from the same world as Miss Calill? The paladin wasn't sure. However, it seemed that this man was a dutiful knight due to his... bold shout about his title and his knightly duty. Perhaps this man could help them save Pentheus. After all, the more ally, the better to find and stop the bandits from blowing up the city.
"Yes. Bandits did this, but you see, you're not-"
However, this.... Kieran, was it? It seemed he wasn't letting her explain his situation for he was too distracted about his duty as a knight. Perhaps she would explain he's not in his own world later. Right now, they needed to focus on their own situation at the moment.
"It seems he's from another world just like Miss Calill from earlier." Isadora whispered to Leon, eyeing on Kieran. Despite how... energetic this man was, there was something odd about him. "I don't think we need to worry about him being an enemy. He said he's a royal knight and he thinks Pentheus is his capital city to protect. We'll have to tell him that he's no longer in his world after this. We need to find these bandits and stop them. Perhaps he can help us stop them. After all, it seems he's eager to assist-"
When the red paladin asked them an odd question and turned around, the Dame Knight stopped talking when she saw a piece of wood embedded in his head. What kind of knight he was to battle without a helmet and get himself injured? Surely, Wallace would be disapprove and scorned him for his recklessness. But right now, this man was not fit to battle.
"Sir, you are injured!" Isadora shouted as she trotted her horse toward the man. The paladin cursed her unfortunate luck. If the road wasn't blocked by debris, she would have sent him to the infirmary where Amelia and Calill were. If the enemy leader was in this city, she would make sure that enemy would be held responsible for the messes.
"You!" She shouted at the sage within her group and pointed her finger at the reckless knight. "Treat his injury and see if he is well able to aid us. The rest of you soldiers, spread out and find these bandits. If you find bombs, disarm them. We can't let Pentheus fall!"
After giving out orders, she opened her saddle pouch and pulled out an Elixir. Although she rarely used Elixirs during battle, it was lucky she had it with her in case of emergency. Isadora handed the Elixir to the injured man. "Use this in case your head hurts or you got yourself injured again. But for now, I suggest you get yourself healed up and retreat. I can't have any injured continue to fight."
She then turned to Leon. "Leon, we've better hurry. Time is running short. We need to stop these bandits immediately."
And with that, she snapped her reins and charged forward, hoping to have enough time to stop the bandits and save Pentheus from falling.

"Many times I've fought, and many times I've fallen, but I'll never give in when I hear you callin'!" x - [Leon Vatara] - x ▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ As Kieran brandished his weapon, Leon prepared his shield. "It's gonna be yer loss if ya try and joust against me now, sir." the watchman said bluntly. As the redhead nearly brought a full-on charge against him, Leon listened to Isadora's orders.
He never kept his eyes off Kieran though. Luckily, he didn't have to. Thanks to Isadora's updates on the situation, the newcomer decided that he was on their side. For now, Leon lowered his shield, sighing with a bit of relief. "Although he ain't good at hidin', he was really gonna put his all into his strike like that! I wouldn't have been able to hold him off! Thank the Great Hero Lady Isadora stopped him..." Leon thought in dismay.
Leon nodded in understanding while the dame knight whispered her guesses that the man in red armor was from another world. "Yeah, he's sure got the look of an otherworlder, eh? I agree that it ain't the time to bring it up though. It'd probably sap his morale." the Watch Captain told her. For now, he was just glad they had gained an ally, rather than another crazed enemy.
The calm Leon had over an averted duel was short-lived. The brunet tilted his head sideways when Kieran first mentioned the smell, but quickly wrote it off as unimportant. However, when the redhead turned just the right way, he saw the shrapnel sticking out of the back of his head. Alarm bells went off in Leon's mind right away.
"B...by the Goddess, sir, that's a serious injury!" Leon exclaimed in a panicked voice. When Isadora ordered the sage in the group to tend to him, it couldn't have been too soon. It kept his mind from wandering, from imaging the worst to come, from thinking of rather painful history repeating itself once more.
"Sir Kieran, stay behind us 'til those staff-wielders give ya a proper healin'!" Captain Vatara ordered. "I want everyone else, Watch or Soldiers to spread out and find those explosives! This city's not burnin' on my watch." he added. With those words and Isadora's, the unit scattered, and Leon followed close behind.▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ x - [Watch Captain] - x

"Sir, you are injured!"
"B...by the Goddess, sir, that's a serious injury!"
"Injury? What injury?" Kieran asked as Isadora shouted for a healer. The sage hurried over and tried to reach up to pull the spike out, staff at the ready, standing on his tip-toes and with one foot in the foot-strap of Kieran's saddle he could almost reach... until the Paladin twisted to try and see the piece of wood in the back of his own head, reaching and feeling the rear of his skull, Horse responded to the reins being tugged slightly and trotted to the left, the sage stumbled to keep up. "Oh? This little thing? Ha! This is nothing, Crimean Knights fear neither blood nor pain! Here I'll just pull the little sucker out..."
"Errr, Sir I don't think you shoul---" The sage said, still trying to reach for the wooden chunk. Kieran however, wasn't paying attention and grasped the wood in one hand, slowly pulling it out.
"Whooooooooo!" He winced pulling it out with a sickening sound. The sage panicked as blood began to spurt from the hole in Kieran's head and quickly tried to seal the wound with magic. However at that moment Isadora handed him over an elixer, causing him to move again, and the sage to miss, instead healing Kieran's horse.
"A-A gift? For me?! Th-Thank you my Lady Paladin! Look at this bottle gleam! It will look great on my mantle beside the Axe General Geoffrey gave me! My family will treasure it always!" Kieran stuffed the elixer into his saddlebags with no intention of using it as Isadora rode off with Leon in pursuit. "Retreat" He scoffed to himself, pulling a roll of duct tape out of his saddlebag and dodging another heal attempt in the process. "As long as I have this no Knight of Crimea will ever need to retreat!" Quickly breaking a piece off he leaned back and stuck it over his wound. At the same time the sage finally managed to hit Kieran with a successful heal... which caused the duct tape to fuse to his skin. Before the sage could point out that while healed Kieran now had a piece of duct tape welded to his skin, the Paladin had wheeled Horse around and was now charging after Isadora and Leon.
"The Great Kieran is completely rejuvenated!" He called as he passed them... and if they so much as glanced in his direction they'd see the piece of duct tape that had merged with his flesh over his hair, and the small bit of blood oozing out of it.
"Come at me you cowards!" He screamed, leading the way through a city he thought he knew. Focusing fully on finding hints of bombs or bandits.

Sain Ladies how about a lovely dinner? Who knows how Sain managed to get lost while in a pack, but he somehow did that. He had heard that the bandits were planting bombs around. He was just about to charge in and go to town with his axereaver, when he saw a red knight. At first he thought it was Kent, but then he saw the piece of wood in his head.
"What the hell!?" he yelled. He then saw the events of the red knight getting healed. The paladin looked on in shock mostly.
"Is this guy stupid or something...?" He mummbled. "What kind of an idiot thinks an elixir should go on a mantle?" He then watched the knight going to try to stop the bandits from blowing up the city. Sain looked on for a couple of moments before realizing that he should do the same. He charged in on Homeros to get to work. After all I am a noble knight of Caelin!

"You can't blame yourself. Blaming yourself and falling into depression, it won't change anything. You have to look →forward→. Remember what you have here now. Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from Elibe or anywhere else!" {Amelia}Amelia wore her relief on her sleeve as Ewan made his way to her, putting a free hand gently on his shoulder before turning her eyes to the commotion around her. There was... a strange red-armored man shouting at Isadora and Leon off in the distance before hurrying away, head still bleeding. "Hrm. He must have suffered a concussion or something, I think he's gone insane." Amelia sighed, rubbing a hand over her face. "We'll have to make sure he hasn't gone and caused any unnecessary destruction later, whoever he is. You're all right, Ewan, right?" She looked back at the Sage for a moment, then cast her gaze around the city.
"If we had any idea of how many bombs there are here, then we'd have a place to start, but we don't..." Amelia rubbed a hand against her chin, frowning. "We need to investigate the buildings. And we need a way to dispose of any further possible bombs without setting anything off. How many of the mages arrived with fire magic?" She looked over at Ewan. "...Well, frankly, any of the magic we've got could possibly set off another explosion or make things worse, so nevermind, actually. Um..." Amelia reached back and took her shield onto her arm again, lance in her other hand. "We need to investigate the buildings, anyway. Check buildings, alleyways. Sewer system, if we can locate an entrance. We need to look anywhere that would be both a convenient, easy place to hide a bomb that would be difficult to notice. Places that would cause the most collateral damage. Or-- Hey!" Amelia shouted to Leon, waving her spear above her head to try to attract his attention. "Leon! Take your men to check the alleys and streets along the walls for more explosives!" she bellowed, projecting from deep in the chest, like she'd heard Tibarn do so many times before. Made so much sense now. {Graceful Spear} "What... I mean is... Being a member of the holy order doesn't mean you can't put your own wants first sometimes. The goddess is supposed to be all‑forgiving, right? You've worked hard and you deserve to do some things that make you happy. I think she'd forgive you for it."

"Many times I've fought, and many times I've fallen, but I'll never give in when I hear you callin'!" x - [Leon Vatara] - x ▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ "Oy, Kieran, on the back of yer head-"Leon tried to speak to him again, but he should have realized that was a moot point. By the time he could get another word out, the reckless axe paladin was already far ahead of him.
"By the Great Hero Anri!" he thought. "That man ain't afraid of anything, not even the Reaper! I can't believe I used to be the same way once..." Why Kieran didn't use the Elixir properly... he'd never know.
Amelia's orders snapped Leon out of the trance of his thoughts. If she could give commands like that, she must have been safe! Replying in his loudest voice, Leon replied in a voice that was just as deep and loud. "I understand, 'melia! You'll have nothin' to worry about! The streets and the alleyways are the Watch's specialty!" he answered proudly.
Leon relayed the orders to the Watch members under his command. Shortly after, Sain had caught up with them. "Where on earth have ya been, Constable Sain?! I've been needin' another rider ever since this mission began!" he added. "Come on now, let's sweep these streets! Don't leave a single fuse lit, and watch out for mines!"▧ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▩ ▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫▪▫ ▨ x - [Watch Captain] - x
