Hey guys I'm Arianna and i am in my finally year of high school *does a happy dance*, like stir im almost 18 and i have 3 stories im in the middle of writing. I write a lot of fantasy and will be posting up one, if not more, of my stories out soon so look out for them!

Hi folks! I'm Skiesofmars, or Skies for short. I'm a writer of fantasy with a tendency toward urban fantasy, although my favorite genre of book to read is YA fantasy. I'm 24 and still trying to figure out my life. I'm also a proofreading and copyediting freelancer.
I have aspirations of writing many intricately-plotted books full of queer characters, but I also have difficulty both starting and finishing projects.
I'm excited to get involved in a writing community!

Hii! I'm Shinku Shay but please call me Shay. I'm sixteen and I absolutely love to write/Role play/etc, My favorite genre is fantasy, to read and write. I don't think I'm all to good but I love it and have finished writing a series of stories which have never seen the light of day because my laptop had crashed and I never got them back. Hello!
My name on here is obviously RainingCrimson, but my pen name tends to be LolaLot.
I'm 21 and a girl.
I don't think I have particular subjects that I like to write about, but I particularly enjoy writing about the interactions between characters and about their mental state.
What I like to read... Hm... Right now, it's mostly fanfiction, though some authors I appreciate could include Voltaire and Maupassant.
Strong points? I'd have to say grammar and spelling. Or at least, I think so. xD
As for weak points... Probably sticking to one idea. I tend to go all over the place and lose the main theme of the story!
Anyway. That's it for my presentation. I came here mostly to meet other people who write and talk with them! I feel it would help me grow as an author and to come up with ideas to write.

Nice to meet you all, I'm Nemone. Been around Gaia for a while but I tend to come and go sometimes. I'm trying to get back into writing so I'm glad to be around others who enjoy it.
I like both reading and writing supernatural/fantasy the best but I also sometimes like science fiction. Lately I've been trying to also write some comedy. I used to write a lot of poetry but I haven't written it as much lately.
My strong points would probably be things like grammar, formatting, and larger plot scenarios. I always have a hard time deciding what to write for the actual scenes within a chapter. I guess just getting started. I hate writing long, boring scenes where nothing is really happening so maybe that is where my problem lies.
Anyways, it's nice to be here. heart

Hello, I'm Alice, 17 years old. I started Gaia in 2008 but left two years ago. This account (which is a whopping two days old) is my reintegration into Gaian society.
I'm far better at fanfiction than original works, name a fandom and I've probably written something for it. Most of my stories are terribly short, between one and five thousand words, but they tend to wrap up well by the end so I don't mind.
My favourite genres are psychological horror and angst.
Aside from writing I also enjoy linguistics in general, I'm always trying to learn new bits of foreign languages, to learn new words with no English equivalents. If you'd like a foreign language-to-English translation of something, I am your gal.

Hello, my name is Geoff, but I like my user name better.
I am 22 and I am a male.
I don't have a particular genre, I just pick a topic or someone gives me a topic and I go from there, usually writing as I think of it.
My teachers in school used to say that I had 10,000 ideas running through my head at a time, but didn't know which one would be more appealing.
I enjoy working with others and giving ideas for either writers block (which I get with pretty much everything I write, but I figure it out) or if someone has an idea and needs maybe a few suggestions maybe for characters, place, or events.
Hope to work with some of you, who knows..... maybe we can make a few masterpieces.............. just maybe.

Hi, all.
My name is Luthien. I'm 19, female, and a college student (creative writing major). I live in New York City, although I'm a nomad by nature. I've lived in NYC for two years and am already considering moving to a different city, but we'll see where the fates take me. I'm an eclectic pagan, and my spirituality is not only very important to me, but very prevalent in my writing. I'm a mental health advocate, and suffer from a few ailments myself (so if you ever need a mental health reference, I'm your girl). I obviously love to read. I'm an amateur actor as well.
I write all kinds of things, but I prefer novels and plays. I've been writing (literally) since I was six years old, and my dad has several of my manuscript notebooks from my elementary school days. I've had a few poems, essays, and short stories published, nothing serious. A play I wrote was produced in a community theatre, and I consider that my crowning achievement to date. I write in all genres.
I'm happy to be here!

Hello, I'm Nano Rain, but you can just call me Nano.
I'm not sure how to classifly my writing at this point. I try to be very descriptive, but I fear I'm not too good with dialogue. I mainly write about fantasy or science fiction, and with lots of action and tradgedy. One element you'll never find in my stories (though I've been told this is a serious mistake) is romance. I don't like reading it in any way shape or form, and I don't like writing it. Nano does not approve!
My strong points, I suppose, would be... Let's skip this!
My weak points are quitting halfway through. When I think up a story, I think of the beginning or end first, and then figure out whichever I didn't start with. That leaves the middle. The big chunk o' middle. The one hurdle I struggle with. And lacking in synonyms for words. When read back on my work I find that I repeat words like 'though' and 'just' far too much.

Hello I'm Elexys, but I prefer Elex Klaire. I love to write and often come up with lots of idea, but never finish them.I have a thumb drive full of things I've started but have never finished.My grammar is sometimes wrong, but I do like interesting words like pulchritudinous and adinfinitum, I have a journal dedicated just to words. I don't mind people telling me the mistakes that I've made, I think it makes me become a be writer and I'd like nothing more then to be able to complete a story and getting it published.
I am a little shy, but once I get to know someone , there's no way to get me to leave them alone. I'm more interested in fantasy and supernatural type of stories, but I'll write what ever comes to my head or what ever is bothering me. Surpisingly I'm good at editing, though I'm bad at grammar, so if you want someone to double check you story, I wouldn't mind.

my weakness would have to be extending the plot a bit to add detail. my strength would have to be in dialogue.

Hello! I'm Zaviire, but most people call me Mid. I'll be sixteen this September and I've been writing since 2008. (Also I'm a girl.)
I consider myself to be a fairly moderately skilled writer and I dedicate much of my time writing to one project in particular, entitled Out of the Shadows, though I have a hard time focusing on one thing at once and so I'll often start little (unfinished) stories or poems on the side.
♥ Mostly I write prose, obviously, and there was a time when I shied away from poetry, but sometimes I just get that bug.
In both reading and writing, I enjoy thrillers as well as mysteries if done well. I also like dystopias in the vein of Veronica Roth's Divergent or Marie Lu's Legend, and more futuristic settings, though each book has their own individual flavor and so naturally there are exceptions. I do enjoy a good romance every once in a while, after all, and one of my favorite books of all time has to actually be one of those (by some definition...): The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.
As far as strengths go, I'd have to say character creation and development as well as my 'voice'. Though while my writing seems to be able to stand up on its own and it definitely has my own unique flavor, I definitely struggle with things such as pacing and dialogue -- especially when I'm having to stage interactions between more than two characters. I also have trouble figuring out what exactly my stories are about; I more often than not jump in with only a few character sheets, world notes, and a direction to go by. It's for these reasons that I find myself to be a much stronger roleplayer than writer, though I'm certainly hoping practice and critique and such can help my solo writing catch up. nwn

Anyways!
I'm Night Kunoichi, Niku, Night, NK, Kunoichi-san or whatever other nicknames you can come up with pertaining to my screen name. I'm 22 years old and I'm currently working on a book that I hope to have published one day! :3 I also am going to school for Respiratory Therapy. I also love to roleplay! biggrin And I'm a gamer. Assassins Creed and Dragon age are like my game religions!
I mostly write fantasy but I have been known to dabble in horror as well. :3
