Turning away from the bushes, Lirona made more notes in her mental map. "I know my father will be happy to hear about the different berries nearby. It might be something that would make him settle right here." She shook her head in amusement, resuming their trot back to where the elder kirin rested. "It's best to see as many places as possible though. A bit more exploring to find where we can all agree on, and then we'll settle." She looked back at Star with interest. "A curious creature? What do you mean?"

"It had the head, feet, and wings of a bird, feathers as well, but the body of a four legged pawed thing." It seemed that emotional memory wasn't the only thing taken from her. "It came and plucked up a flower before I had a chance to call out and see if it knew words... Rather small... perhaps just big enough to curl between my shoulders." She looked to her back. "Odd creature... not rude though, which was nice."

She blinked in surprise at the description, trying to put the picture together in her mind. Curious indeed... "I've never seen anything like that." She said, wondering what type of bird had four legs.
Looking around at a couple landmarks, she gave a little sigh. "We're almost there." She said contently.

"Oh?" Star herself looked around, seeming curious about the mare's father. She'd not really met any stallions before, and those she'd seen in the distance had been run and hidden from. "It's a nice little resting place. I've not been over here yet." Her ears twitched as she caught the scent of what must have been the father, not recognized as they continued on.

"It's protected and isolated from what seem to be the main walking paths around here. Good for at least a rest. Maybe even for a home." It was just a while longer before Lirona slowed a bit, picking her way through the long, drooping branches of a few trees. "Here we are." She said softly, in case her father was still asleep.
It was just a simple clearing surrounded by rings of those long branched trees. The grass was thick though, and comfortable for sleeping. At the moment, with the moon setting and the sun not yet risen, it was coated in shadows. With no response to their shuffling through, she led Star to one of the dark spaces to the side where some of the long branches had been built up. "He must still be sleeping," she whispered, "so we'll just introduce you in the morning."

"Alright." Star left her voice lowered as well. "I don't mind such... we need our rest as well. Maybe we might see one of the odd creatures." Her tail flicked, her left hind hoof moving it out of the way so that she might settle down with her friend. "It's quite the cozy space..." Her words trailed off as she gave a yawn, moving already to rest with room for Lirona. "Thank you again for this...my friend." A tiny smile was spared from the sleepy mare.

Feeling the wear of the walk, she nodded in agreement. The dark space was might comforting right now. It seemed to call for her to go to sleep. Settling down next to Star, she couldn't help the unusually large smile that rose. It was filled with pleasure and contentment. "Good night, Star." She replied, setting her head down.

"Good night my friend." He shut her eyes, sighing softly. Rest was well deserved now, and it was a great gift.

With the rays of the sun only just lighting the protected little clearing, Wyatt woke only slowly. The morning always did seem to drag by now, since the great migration. He missed waking up with his beautiful mate next to him... It still hurt so much... Blinking the sleep from his eyes, he looked around to make sure his daughter had returned safely from safely from her little trip. He'd heard her leave, but had somehow managed to sleep through her return. Eyes landing on where his daughter slept, he thought he was seeing double, and blinked again. No, the second one had a completely different pattern... Shocked, he simply looked silently between the two sleeping mares. Well, now... what was this?
Waking with a little stretch, Lirona rubbed her face into the soft grass to help herself wake up after the long night. When she looked up, she was greeted by the sight of her father's stare. What was-? Oh! Sitting up, she glanced at Star's slumbering form, and then smiled confidently at her father, though her voice remained soft so that she wouldn't wake her new friend. "See? I found a friend. Just like I said I would."

With the coming of the waking times, Star rested, her head settled carefully so as not to harm herself with her horns. Soft breaths came from her, ears flicking, sides rising and falling with each breath. Though she did stir at the sound of the soft words. Just a small amount though. It was still unsure as to whether or not she would wake fully so soon.

Heading off to the side a bit, Wyatt listened to Lirona's tale. He looked over at the sleeping mare and smiled. "That was right of you, Lirona. No reason to allow someone so kind to wander alone. Perhaps while with us, she might remember something of her past. We can aid her however we're able to."
Lirona grinned at her father. "Yup! That's what I thought you'd say." She looked over to Star as well, and then back to her father. "We found berries while we were walking. Why don't you go eat while she's still sleeping?" She told him where to find his breakfast, and watched him head off to eat. Then she headed back to Star's side and laid back down.

She rested a slight while longer, moving one leg out as she began to wake. Her eyes opened slowly, a small yawn passing from her as she woke, head shaking as she looked around. Thankfully, she was good with her memory now, knowing that she'd come to rest with her friend, her first friend, after quite the adventure. "Good morning." She murmured, blinking her still sleepy eyes. "Did you rest well friend?"

Ears twitching as her companion stirred, Lirona raised her head to look over at Star. "Good morning. I slept very well. And yourself?" She glanced over to where her father had vanished, and then back to Star. "My father just went to get himself something to eat. I explained everything, and he's fine with it. Welcome to the- um.. herd?" She giggled lightly, head tipping curiously. Did three kirin constitute a herd?

The female nodded, looking around a bit more as she moved to stand and stretch out. "I'm glad I am no burden. Such would be troubling to all of us..." With a sigh, Star settled herself back down. "Upon his return we will set out for the place I spoke of, yes? Or does he have his own plans?"

Lirona nodded and stood as well. "No. We had no plans other than to explore some more. We can go see where you mentioned." She stretched each limb, and took a few steps as she fully woke. "Do you remember if it's very far from-" She turned as her father rejoined them, inturrupting her thoughts. "Star, this is my father." She glanced at their matching hides and snorted in amusement. "In case you couldn't tell~"
Sparing a warm smile for Lirona, being thoroughly pleased that his daughter had his pelt, he turned a much wider, welcoming smile to Star Struck. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Star. My name is Wyatt." He said with a polite inclining of his head.
