First Year: Slytherin You Touch Me..I break you.Amanda smirked, then cut Leonidas off without agreeing to keep anything a secret. "You're rich, aren't you?" she asked, still dancing to not draw attention to herself and Leonidas, or at least, not more than they already have. He did a great job of hiding it in class, acting like a shy kid, she thought, waiting for his answer which she expected to be 'yes, aren't you?' And when she will tell him she isn't, he won't want anything to do with her. wearing

Leonidas Henry ReedlingFirst Year Slytherin Stunned by her straightforwardness, he was momentarily caught off guard. Rich? Why did it matter? His mouth opened and closed a few times, struggling to overcome the sudden muteness. "I- er-... What the?" ahe managed to stammer after a few moments. Gathering himself, he drew a deep breath and continued. "I had been." he stated, quite simply. But in anticipation to her questions, he continued without letting her have a break. "See, as a young boy, I was the son of Lord Zeus Reedling. We lived in a mansion with butlers and maids to spare. I had everything I wanted, well, except a mother, but that didn't matter back then. We had balls all the time, and I was trained in etiquette since I could speak. However, Zeus was a muggle, and he hated anything and everything to do with witchcraft and wizardry. So when he found out I was a wizard, he disowned me without hesitation. I was eight then. He threw me out onto the street and told me never to come back. I've been homeless ever since then. My only companion was Fire, my dog, and together we stole to get food. Now, I am a poor, homeless, familyless, street orphan. So, yes, I was rich, but not anymore. That answer your question?" He stared right into her eyes, feeling her animosity, but determined to overcome it, and break through what he knew could merely be only a protective shell. "I've pretty much had to raise myself even though I grew up with my dad," she explained. ʻAnd she's got the curse of curvesʼ Katariina made her way into the room. She sure did love a party and the masks add that wonderful touch. Her hips swayed side to side as she made her way in. As was her usual she wanted a drink to start off the night and she would of course add her own little touch. Making her way through she smiled as she noticed the man walking in the same direction. She could tell just by his wonderful backside who it was. She giggled to herself and hurried forward to catch up. "My My, you do clean up well." She complemented, her voice low as she whispered close to his ear. A smirk in place, she was happy to have found him so quickly and excited to see the new turn to the nights events. ʻI want someone provocative and talkativeʼ

Don't get into trouble." she says as Heather leaves the ballroom, with a slight giggle at her comment. Ha. Heather getting into trouble? Like that would ever happen.Remy looks around at the sea of masked figures, not knowing any of them at a glance. She decides it was about time to get out of the corner and try to have some fun.  Shina approached the girl in the light blue dress by the edge of the dance floor. "If we wait for a boy to ask us to dance, we'll be standing here all night," Shina said, holding out a hand. Her bronze and sapphire bracelet glittered. "Care to dance?"   ((OOC: ... ))

Remy smiled at the girl. "You're right about that. And I'd love to." she says, taking the girls hand. To some, dancing with another girl would come off as strange or odd, but to Remy, it wasn't. Shina grinned back and tugged the other girl onto the dance floor. Finding a spot, Shina turned to the other girl and pulled her into a dance frame. She took the lead's position for herself, her right hand firm on the other girl's shoulder blade. If the other girl actually knew how to dance, they could trade off. If not, it was best to have the lead being the one with greater experience. Shina nodded her head to the beat for a measure to make sure the other girl had the count, sweeping them both into motion. ((OOC: ... ))

The girl was a good dancer, this was obvious to Remy, but Remy herself was also a fair dancer. She kept the beat in her mind as they danced. "Thank you for dancing with me. Now I don't feel like a total nobody. I just wish my sister was here. She could dance with us." she says with a smile. Heather had left to sit down, no doubt feeling a little overwhelmed and very nervous. "Mm. Well, I certainly wasn't going to play wallflower after dressing up! Though, have you noticed, the cuter the dress, the more likely boys are to be too intimidated to ask you do dance?" Shina said, then sent the other girl out into a spin and pulled her back. "You'll have to introduce me to your sister later!" ((OOC: *giggles* We obiously are thinking different dance frames. I'm thinking ballroom, where lead has left arm extended, right hand on girl's shoulderblade. Follow/girl had right arm extended, left hand on lead's shoulder. ))

Shina took her own turn to do a spin, skirt flaring out. Coming back, Shina smirked. "Sadly, I think we've only made ourselves more intimidating. Two cute girls dancing might be more than any boy can handle! Oh well, good thing we know how to have fun without them!" ((OOC: No problem! I have several years of ballet, tap, and jazz, and a semester of Ballroom dance followed by eighteen months of dating my dance partner and hitting the dance halls. ^^; ))

Leonidas Henry ReedlingFirst Year Slytherin His eyebrows came together under his mask, but below the black and gold covering, his mouth remained the same, simply emotionless. So that was a clue to why she was prone to be anti-social. Well, no matter, she was the same Amanda she'd always been to him. A beautiful young woman, his best friend, and a brilliant girl. "I'm terribly sorry about that, but then, I guess we both rather know what that's like. I promise you, if I ever get my family fortune back, you could have whatever you like." he told her. But then he smiled, all seriousness gone. "So, that's me, and that's you. But we are still dancing at a ball. Let's enjoy this for now!" He glanced around the dance floor, spying a couple of girls dancing together, a few dating couple dancing romantically, a redhead in a lovely moon-themed outfit chatting with a blonde boy by the punch bowl, and a few drifters wafting through. That was nice, but what was truly important right now was making Amanda happy.
