Hey! I like how you are converting the guild to a broader concept! I can't wait. I think it will bring in more diversity to the guild and make people feel more comfortable participating in the guild. Keep up the good work!

Renkon Root I see no reason why not. Just remember that if you are going to post it in the guild (or post a direct link to it in the guild) that it must also adhere to GaiaOnline's rules and guidelines. Nothing sexually explicit, racially offensive, or abusive. Keep it clean(ish). Alright, will do. Thanks!

I have a question.
Its pretty clear that the sub-forums are for people to post their own stories. But what about if you want to share someone else's story, not your own, just one that you read and really liked? Can we share other people's works too? Or can we only post our won works?

2 suggestions: An added category in the fanfiction sections: Bandfics and a 'survey' required to be posted at the beginning of each fanfiction with: Name: Tittle of main story Category: General, Het, Slash Genre: Action, Romance, Horror, ext. Secondary Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Suspense, ext. Rating: R, PG-13, PG, G, NSFW Main Pairings: x/x Secondary Pairings: x/x, x/x Warnings: Major Character Death, On Haitus, Violence, Implied Rape, ext. Chapters: Total # of chapters, including prologues and epilogues Word Count- if desired: xxx Series: Link to section on author's profile with links to all the stories Challenges: Monthly prompt, commission, questions, ext. Summery: xxx
Author's Note: Sorry, it was really bugging me that you didn't have these. I mostly do Band Fics any more so yeah. That was sorta my thing. As for the 'survey', I personally like knowing what I'm reading and being forewarned if something bad might happen so... Also, I prefer my readers to know what they're reading. If you'd like me to fill it out as an example, I'd be more then happy to. ^^ Danke for your time! ~Bizackiuke

However, I can suggest to the rest of the Crew that we create an RPF (real person fiction) forum. Since, I assume, the bands you're writing about are real bands. However, to create a forum that is JUST for band fics would be a little silly. Then we'd have to create a forum for actor fics, model fics, any celebrity, etc. As to your second suggestion, I do agree that it would be nice if people posted that information clearly in the first post of their fics. Especially since the forums have tics from all different fandoms in them (Inuyasha, Naruto, DBZ, all in the anime forum, etc.), but we do not make it a requirement because an author has a right to represent their work and themselves however they see fit. If they choose to post a survey at the beginning of their fic, excellent, more power to them. If they choose not to and just dive right it, that is their prerogative. This guild was founded in order to encourage creativity and the love of writing, not police it.

I just think that the survey should be put up as a suggestion, not a rule, you're right, and again, the rpf thing would be nice. Thanks for listening. ^^

This guild tends to be rather slow (as most of the writing guilds I'm a member of are). I was wondering if there was something else we could do to increase member activity. More discussion maybe. Or games? Like a pass the story thread. Or word association game. Something to keep activity up.
In fact, more games and discussion might help members unwind or distract themselves from their writing frustrations or writer's block.

Hey y'all, XXThis is my first day here and I'm having troubles finding a place to advertise my ideas. I was cordially invited due to posting my fanfic ideas in the Fanfiction section of the Gaia Forums. I was just wondering if there was a certain place where I could ask people which designs are good and which...aren't as great. Thank you so much and I do apologize for bothering you with my silly question! Love, Vampireglub

Love, Vampireglub If your idea is for a fan fiction, or an OC you plan to use in a fan fiction, you may make your thread in any of the sub forums that apply. Example: if its for a League of Legends fic/OC you may post it in the Video Game subform. If its for Hunger Games, you may post it in the Books sub forum. However, if its for an original work, not a fan fiction, then the place to post would either be the Chaterbox forum or the main forum. At this time we do not have a place for original works.

Ren LehCrow In fact, more games and discussion might help members unwind or distract themselves from their writing frustrations or writer's block. This is an excellent idea. Please feel free to start as many forum games as you like in the Chaterbox forum.
