Taith rumbled in approval of the males' efforts to impress her, but after such a flight even she was beginning to grow a bit weary. Desire now was beginning to overtake her urge to compete, and she began seriously considering choosing one of the males behind her. But which one...

The green's speed seemed to flag a little, but he couldn't quite close the gap yet. Closer, though, he was getting closer...

As if feeling her gaze, the blue did some rolls that he practiced with His on their down time. It wasn't the easiest of moves with a rider, but without, Troiseth flipped easily.

Such a tough decision... On the one hand, browns were awfully appealing on the whole. On the other hand though, the fact that this blue had been able to keep up with said browns this entire time was remarkably impressive. He was definitely worth a look. The green rolled lazily off to the side once more, still teasing the trio behind her. Come along~

Oh, he'd follow. Why quit at the end? He tucked into a tight roll to follow, spreading his wings when he pulled out of it once more and edging his neck out, as if he could encourage the rest of his body to follow faster. Gneisth, you could do this--!

His wings burning with the effort it was taking to keep up with the browns and green, had him slowing a bit. The others had not been doing drills before hand, so this was a lot of work on Troiseth

Ok, seriously, these boys couldn't catch her when she was no longer even trying? The green was starting to reconsider their worth a bit, but at the moment they were her only options. She gave a frustrated roar at the three, spinning around once more to fly past them. Somebody prove themselves and catch her, shard it!

He was in trouble. This was longer than he thought. She moved fast and the blue just barely got close to her

This was almost unbearable. Obviously she was the most skilled at everything ever, but come ooooon, she had already slowed down so much now... Also, her rider down on the ground was threatening to start without her if she didn't hurry up and let herself get caught. Hmph, so dramatic...

Steady in direction once more, Gneisth went back to his original trusty strategy - a tight zigzagging flight pattern. One burst of speed here, another there - and suddenly he had outflown the others, Taith lying just ahead. With a bugle of triumph and a final flourish of acrobatic skill, the brown pulled the green close. Yes, this made all the effort and the long flight more than worth it...

FINALLY! With another show of fancy flying the brown from the beginning managed to pull into the lead, and Taith made no complaints as the larger male caught her. He had earned this right, and she twined her neck with his as they enjoyed the sweet release.
Down on the ground, there may or may not have been a cry of victory.
