With quiet steps, Jangles made his way into his lord's shrines. Every couple of steps he would stop, his ears twitching in a nervous manner as he scanned the area for any sign of Venezia, or anyone for that matter. He really didn't want others to bare witness to this moment; to see him like... this. Huffing, the jester attempted to steel his resolve as me moved in deeper.
"Lord Venezia? Are you here?"

"Lord Venezia? Are you here?" Venezia appeared before Jangles and bowed to him. His endless smile remained on his face as his gaze was cast upon the smaller Pockettu. It appeared something was troubling the young one. "Yes, I am always here~ How may I entertain your question this evening?" He chuckled.

The bells on Jangles' hat jingled as he tensed out of surprise at Venezia's appearance. Puffing out his cheeks, he rolled his shoulders and attempted to at least appear relaxed. "Question I have, yes. It's... I've heard rumors."
Jangles' tongue darted out to wet his dry lips as he fell silent, his thoughts turned towards how to word his next statement. He felt so... uncomfortable. This being serious thing, it just wasnt' who he was. He was much more comfortable with taunts and other childish things. "About the cursed? That bad stuff, really bad stuff, is happening?"

Venezia quirked a brow but remained a smiling loon. "My, my... I wonder what rumors or whom they were from." He said no more on that matter before standing up right. A few seconds passed before he tilted his head and sighed, throwing his arms up in defeat. "I'm afraid so, Jangles." "You see... There are Gods that they follow. Cursed, obviously~ But Gods none the less. It poses a bit of a problem for us." Venezia shook his head a bit and placed a hand idly on his hip, waving the other about dismissively. "We've withdrawn from the war. My eyes have been opened and I see now that what I did before was wrong. I put you all in unnecessary danger... When and if I decide to let us get involved again... well~ That's another story." As he spoke his eyes watched his follower carefully. "Why do you ask?"

Venezia's confirmation only gave more weight to Jangles concern over the growing situation. He wrung his hands together before clasping them together, only to promptly unclasp them and let them fall to his sides. "I ask because..."
Voicing dying off, Jangles' gaze fell to the ground. "Because... if things are this dire, then maybe, perhaps, it's time for past grievances to be buried, and for all of us to do something?"
Pausing for but a moment, Jangles quickly pushed on, his words almost blending together as he hurried to speak his mind before his courage could wane. "Antarmur'ss and his allies will only be able to hold out for so long, and when they fall, won't the cursed just set theirs sights on those of us who remain? Is it not best to solidify our strength while that possibility is still there?"

"Shall we play a guessing game to figure whom you talked?" Venezia questioned before chuckling. Really it mattered not. His opinion wasn't going to be swayed. "If you've noticed most of his allies simply hide in cowardice. They are not strong enough to fight but yet they may fair better by picking up a blade or two~" He waved a sleeved hand again and shrugged. "I am not afraid of the Cursed. I believe eventually our differences can be overcome. After all - what makes them so different than us? They breathe, we breathe. They bleed as do we. And deep down inside there is a monster in each of our beings... nothing is different. They simply have some sort of vendetta against us~ That's all."

"A trickster never reveals their sources," responded Jangles with a half hearted smile. It was a lame attempt at a joke, if Venezia wanted to know, he'd spill. He had no loyalties towards said source.
"But, what if the only time those differences can be overcome, is when we're cursed like them? They're sole purpose seems to be to cause us pain, and to taint us. All so they can get at you."

"Oh~ Does it really matter what flag we fly in the long run? We all live and perish like anything else. Remembered and forgotten. Loved and Betrayed~" Venezia turned to glance around the carnival. "I do understand your concern but I do not think running to a spoiled brat is the honest way to get things done." It was pointless, the little feud he had with the Darkness God. At times Venezia was over it and other times it still lingered. But something more was the reason why Venezia refused to kneel before the other. Everyone always depicted Venezia the fool yet... was he really such? He simply refused to yield and follow the same path as everyone else. Hexynia, Tyche, and some of the other Gods were the same in that respect. And yet no one complained about their actions.

"Yes, it does matter! I am proud to be of your ilk, to serve in your carnival. That matters! I don't want that to be taken away, to become like them!" Jangles placed his hands over his stomach before clenching them in his shirt. "They're not right. Just being in their presence makes me feel... ill. Like a snake is rolling in my stomach."
Jangles let his hands drop back to his sides as he shifted from foot to foot. "I do not ask you run to him, you are better," Jangles nodded for emphasis, "But I ask that you let us fight besides his warriors, just for this. To push back the cursed before they become a threat that can't be contained."
Lifting one of his bells, Jangles toyed with it while wetting his lips again. "Let us fight to protect each other from the cursed, and to protect you."

"We are still recovering from our prior fighting, Jangles." He frowned and crossed his arms, his playful attitude fading away. "I do not know of any others so eager to fight as you are the first to approach me." Venezia paused for a long while. He thought things over... hardly any of his followers talked to him or told him anything. It wasn't like he was hard to reach. Just jingle a bell or call his name and poof, Venezia was present. His thoughts wandered to if his followers truly were loyal or if they just stuck around out of pity. [[Tis true, I think only Damion and Jianjun, aside from Venezia's daughters talk to him. xD; Out of... oh... 100+ followers? That's reallyyyyy sad.]]

"I'm recovered!" To emphasize his point Jangles flipped backwards and into a hand stand. Jingling as he wiggled, he shifted his weight onto one hand and stuck the other straight out. Remaining in his hand stand, he continued, "I can't be the only one who wants to defend you and our home. There must be others!"
[I won't lie, until this war I felt awkward as to how to RP with the gods. Antarmur'ss was easy because I've known Yousei for quite a while. For the others, you know, a shyness thing. But I've been trying a little bit at a time. xD]

A more joyous smile returned as he clasped his hands together. As his hands pulled apart he made a dagger appear, flipping it about idly. "Tell you what... If you can gather 10 or more fellow carnies willing to fight and have them approach me. I will allow a small group to venture out to fight to defend our camp. Not to aid anyone but to protect those who stay here. Understood~?" Honestly Venezia thought a lot of the carnies were better off not being warriors. They were entertainers at heart. Only a select few were skilled enough to shed blood effectively in the field of battle. [[xD Makes sense owo! I guess it can be intimidating. xDDD But hopefully this event causes people to interact more <3]]

Jangles could not hold back his smile of delight as he bounced back to his feet. Bowing with a flourish, the bells of his hat tapping against the ground. "I'm certain I can do this!"

Scorch had been trying his hardest to forget the war, and keep himself busy in the carnival ever since they'd withdrawn. He had known better than to protest when Venezia said they weren't going to fight anymore, even though he'd wanted to badly. But his failures in the first war (having nothing to do with his fighting) had put him on his God's bad side, and he wasn't sure if anything he did would ever change that. So he'd sat on his heels, tried to focus on his carnival acts and duties... and just...tried not to think about fighting, the war, or the cursed. He, like everyone else, had let himself be sheltered from all the bad stuff going on like a little kid with overprotective parents. Until Jangles had the bravery to do what he could not. Not only to talk to their god, but to ask for his permission to go back out there and DO something. To fight. To defend the rest of the carnies from the cursed threat. And so when he'd heard what the jester had done, and that more voices needed to be heard for it to be allowed, he hesitated no longer, and made his way to the shrine, kneeling before speaking. "My Lord Venezia, I wish to follow Jangles' example and defend our people from the outside threats, if you would allow it." Short and simple, even though so many words were swimming through his head, he awaited his god's reply.

Razma had been busy building his 'special attraction' when the new got to him that there was a need for Carnies in the field... if they were willing and able... Cackling in hysterical laughter all the way from his tent to his God's feet... Skidding to a halt in front of Venezia, his golden eyes glimmering with that madness that seemed to delve deep into his very soul, "We will get to fight again? To cut and bleed the enemy in a passionate dance of pain!? Oh yes, I'm in, I'm in!!" spinning gaily about on the ball of one foot, flinging out his arms and laughing, "Gladly I'll go, and happily I will defend you my Lord, Venezia!" turning to the God, he'd give a deep bow to his God and practically skip to where the others that wanted to fight as well were lining up
