Ahhh.. so it was a proposal, then. " Felicitazioni," Malodore said warmly, remembering when it had proposed to Riley - and oh, thank Jack, the memory came without the usual overlay of crippling pain. There was a twinge, yes, but it was not about to wish this couple ill simply because they were discovering a happiness it had enjoyed for too short of a time. It turned its head at Jericho's touch, opening its beak in a small smile. "It is good to see, is it not - a small reminder that not all is lost to us."

And it was in that sudden moment that Hel yelled out her encouragement that Mitsu realized their conversation wasn't private. Her eyes suddenly left her reaper's her face growing a dark shade of red. Shun was ignoring them but somehow Mitsu couldn't. Her sudden nervousness reminded her of the whispers and for a moment she thought she heard them but for once they weren't really there it was actually the crowd talking around them.
"I..I am sure," Mitsu said with conviction, turning back to Shun giving his hand a squeeze. "I love you and I want to be with you." These were things she had told him before but she meant them. She truly meant them with all her heart.
His answer still confused her, if it didn't seem to matter when why not now? How did being students make the difference? Maybe in this aspect she was truly still naive. Taking a step closer she moved to wrap her arms around his middle. "But....I trust you." She said softly though there might have been the slightest hint of disappointment. "If you want to wait I will wait because no matter what I will always be yours."

"Yeah.. sure is," Jericho agreed while smiling weakly back to the doctor. He gripped its shoulder gently and added, "It's not all dark, it looks like.."

Shun gazed down into her eyes, taking in her words. He didn't understand why she wanted it now, but he could see that this meant a lot to her. With a subtle smile, he brought a hand up to place at the side of her face.
"If this is what you truly want, then yes. I will," he whispered to her. It would take some time to plan things out anyway, should she decide she would rather wait.

Privacy? Not when so many nosy friends were lurking around. Xiu was one of them, her tapir-shaped ears pricked all the way up as she unabashedly listened in on Mitsu and Shun's conversion. Had Mitsu just...!? Were she and Shun going to...!?
Xiu stood off to the side, clasping her hands together and sparkling, first at the happy couple, and then over at Lizzy.
There was so much to plan. Not right away, from the sounds of it, but...could this get any more adorable?

People were buzzing, being social, being close. Christof couldn't quite hear the conversation, but he did spot Malodore and Jericho hovering to the side. He shifted anxiously, debating a plan of attack. Move in. Say hello. That was how this worked. Shuffling quietly, he lurched his way to the two before meekly clearing his throat, his eyes on their feet as he raised a hand in timid greeting. He had not seen the Dragon since... since Mistress had not returned. Hopefully he was keeping himself occupied.

Freya sighed, clasping her hands in front of her, but she otherwise remained silent. There was no need to start fawning about how the bed was the best part, in front of her little sister. Instead, she bent in closer to listen, and nodded her head when she heard that they had decided to wait.
"Yehr all so impatients. Just thinks about the fact that they're gettings married at all. Isn't that romantic? Is so lovely.. ach, I needs teh go shoppings for dresses."

Shehk declined any cupcakes. Sugar and her body did not mix well.
Instead, she gave the area a small glance over, before she moved to go join her two friends who seemed to be looking over the scene that had just come to pass rather unexpectedly at the picnic. Not to say it was unpleasant at all. It was sweet.
Even if it did cause a small pang of jealousy in her own chest. She wanted that too.
"Looks like I arrived just in time to see something interesting." The pricolici greeted calmly as she found the pair she'd been looking for, offering them both a light smile.

For a moment Mitsu's eyes were confused again as she digested Shun's answer and then all of a sudden they lit up again like a jack-o-lantern on Halloween. With more excitement than was needed considering their closeness she all but pounced Shun her arms wrapping around his shoulders as she pulled herself closer to give him a kiss. It really did mean the world to her, her happiness radiating off her in waves.

Shun's good eye widened for the moment as Mitsu practically jumped into his arms and kissed him, but soon relaxed and leaned into the gesture to kiss her in return. He just hoped she wasn't too impatient and wanted it to happen like... tomorrow. A part of him still felt there was no need to rush this at all. Something like this should not be rushed.
But for now, he didn't really think about that too much and just took in this moment. The Reaper held her close, still completely ignoring everyone else in the area right now.

Jericho soon noticed Christof stalking on by. Turning towards him, he furrowed his brow at the igor. He hadn't seen the guy around for some time. But then again, he had been hiding away in his room lately so he hadn't seen quite a few people over all.
Glancing over at Shehk, he nodded and smiled lightly.
"I'd say so."

The promise was enough and Mitsu was beaming when she finally pulled back from the kiss still keeping in close contact with her reaper with her arms around his shoulders. The details of an actual engagement eluded her and planning for a wedding even more so but she was happy all the same. It was a big step and one she would never regret taking.

Lizzy had to smile at the scene unfolding in front of her, her whole expression softening; despite the sadness, life goes on... They won't forget, but at the end of the day, she hoped that this picnic would bring about some... Closure, as well as remind people to remember the happy things. There are still a lot of things to do - so many of them had reached Hob status, and graduation is really just around the corner...
They can still make a lot of happy memories after this.

Speaking of Valkyries... a large shape loomed on the outskirts of the picnic. He honestly hadn't felt like coming, but.
Well.
Someone had to keep an eye on Freya.
Herryk held a cupcake in one hand, looking like he was trying his best to fit in. It was almost working.

Hel was going to give him…hell…about the marriage topic, but for now, he was safe, and for now, much like the other ghouls, Hel indulged in the dreamy and desu side of the whole prospect of someone getting married. Oh wait…
“Hey Shun!” Hel called out. “I can be the best man, ya?” You know. At the wedding.
