Third Year: Hufflepuff Seeker Ariana sat down in a chair facing the seat Katrina sat in. As her friend told the story, the girl crossed her arms on the dining table and leaned her chin against them. A gasp escaped Ariana's mouth at the mention of Morvin pulling her hair. She knew the story would get more violent, so she mentally prepared herself to listen to the rest. Eying the bruises on Katrina's neck, a frown fell upon Ariana's face. The dark smudges of blue and purple were marks from not only being hit, but also from being choked. When Katrina finished telling her story, Ariana sat up in her chair and leaned her back against it. She did not want to ask her friend to continue, but she had to know the full story. What am I doing? Going to see Ariana
What am I thinking? Food.... Kat could see that Ariana was distressed and so she laid her hand on Ari's arm. She was warm. Kat smiled. "This is where it gets good. Obviously, I didn't want to be choked, but I couldn't get him off me. And Mother was useless. So I did the only thing could. I elbowed him in the stomach. He didn't stop so I elbowed him again. And I think I broke a rib. I felt his bone give way and he started to cry again. Marietta hit me again, so I hit her back. And then I shouted at her. Said some very mean things. But she deserved no less." She took another big bite of food. "Then I kicked Morvin while he laid sobbing on my floor. Kicked him and told him to get out. To never come back. And... and he left." She ate another quick bite. "Mother cowered in her room and Morvin was gone. I played Muggle music loud, I danced. I got this magazine from the corner store and it had pictures of girls with multi-colored hair. So I took money from my ex-father's study. I bought hair dye and new clothes. Oh, it was so much fun. Of course, everyone looked at me funny cause of the bruises... But... It was worth it. And then, I came here. Cause I really missed you already."Out of Character ...

Third Year: Hufflepuff SeekerAriana felt somewhat comforted by the touch of Katrina's soft hand. She listened intently to the continuation of the story. "He left, just like that?" she asked, quite bewildered that the boy felt defeated as soon as his younger sister did one thing to defend herself. When she described how she did what she wanted to do, it was easy to see that Katrina was really happy, and this caused Ariana to smile widely. "I really love that hair color, Kat!" she complimented her friend. "I really missed you, too, Kat." The girl stood up as she said this and walked over to her bruised friend. It's only been about two days since they last saw each other, but after seeing each other everyday for a year, two days seemed like a century of being apart. § M I L Σ ツit looks good on you.wearing

Third Year: Hufflepuff SeekerAriana wrapped her arms around Katrina's neck lightly to avoid hurting her while she hugged her, still sitting down. When Katrina reminded her of their conversation that was ever so rudely interrupted, Ariana nodded in comprehension. She knew exactly what her friend was talking about, so she pulled out the chair next to her and plopped her butt in the seat. "We both feel the same way, don't we?" she asked slowly, narrowing her eyes onto her lap as she questioned Katrina. § M I L Σ ツit looks good on you.wearing

What am I thinking? Go for broke... When Ariana sat beside her and asked if they both felt the same way, Kat's heart began to hammer. She knew how she felt. Ariana had said she felt the same way... but was she sure? What if Kat was mistaken about her feelings for Ariana? No, she couldn't be. She knew how she felt. A little voice in the back of her mind whispered to her. Kat tipped Ariana's face up and without saying anything, pressed her lips to Ariana's. Out of Character {Accidentally edited}

Third Year: Hufflepuff SeekerThe next thing Ariana could see was black nothingness, and she felt Katrina's soft lips against her own. The moment seemed to last a long time; however, when the two girls finished their kiss, it seemed like it only lasted several seconds. Ariana bit her bottom lip as a smile crept onto her face, and she opened her eyes slowly to look up into Katrina's. Many joyous emotions fluttered through her even though she was at a loss for words. What could she say right now? Nothing, at least, she didn't want to speak. For once in her life, she'd rather her mouth be doing something besides talking. "Katrina," she said softly, hoping her friend would tell her to shut up so they could kiss one more time. § M I L Σ ツit looks good on you.wearing

What am I thinking? Go for broke... Her heart was hammering... Was she breathing? No, she forgot to do that. All she was thinking about was her lips against Ariana's. The sparks that created shot down her body. She felt alive, more alive than ever. It was... Perfect. As Ariana slowly pulled away, Kat opened her eyes. She saw Ariana staring into her eyes. There it was... Love. Plain as day. And there was the same sparkle in Kat's eyes. When Ariana said her name, it sent a tingle down her back like no other word spoken could have. Kat ran her hand along Ariana's cheek and leaned in to kiss her again. Out of Character ...

Third Year: Hufflepuff SeekerNoticing that Katrina leaned in for another kiss, Ariana wrapped her arms around the girl's back in order to allow Katrina's hand to rest on her cheek. The girl's touch seemed so natural, and as the friends kissed, everything that was on Ariana's mind a moment ago vanished. The only thing that didn't vanish from her body were the butterflies she felt in her stomach. In fact, they seemed to get stronger. What am I thinking? Go for broke... It seemed like an eternity that their lips were locked together, during which time Katrina was in heaven. But like all good things, it had to end. Despite Kat's best efforts the opposite, she finally had to pull away, if just for a breath of air. Her whole body tingled as the butterflies in her stomach tried to beat their way free. She was looking into Ariana's eyes now, search for the right thing to say. Anything to say. She couldn't come up with anything. Her mind was fried, needing that feeling again and again. However, a nervous giggle escaped from Kat and she eased forward, resting her head on Ariana's shoulder while the girl held her. "That.... that felt... right... Right?"Out of Character ...

Third Year: Hufflepuff SeekerAriana felt Katrina pull away and realized it was time to stop snogging each other. How long has it been since they started? At least her parents and brother were not going to get home for several more hours. Ariana made herself comfortable in her seat as her friend searched for the correct words or sentence to say. She placed her arms around Katrina's back again, letting her head fall onto her shoulder. "Yeah, I.. I think so," she stated, trying not to nod while she spoke as it would shake not only her body but also Katrina's. Did it feel right? It did. It felt perfect. But the reality was that both Katrina and Ariana were girls. Was she supposed to feel this way towards another girl? Right now, she didn't want to think about how she was "supposed" to feel. She raised her head to look Ariana in the eyes. "I know girls are supposed to like boys, but I don't. Sam, Chase, Steele... they're just my friends... But you..." She smiled and a blush rose to her cheeks, however she made no move to hide it. "You are more than even a best friend. I don't know what that means, but I want to explore it with you." Kat took Ariana's hand in hers and squeezed gently. Out of Character ...

What am I thinking? Go for broke... Understanding smacked Kat in the face as she realized that the two girls were on the same page. Kat felt a blush rise to her cheeks again as she choked over the next line in the conversation. "So, uh... the next thing, I guess, we should be doing... is... asking each other..." She couldn't find the right phrasing. Deciding blunt was better, she blurted out, "Ariana will you be my girlfriend?"Out of Character ...

She looked back at her friend with dyed red hair and a smile appeared on her face. "I'm kidding! Of course I will!" she exclaimed happily, smacking her girlfriend lightly in the stomach.
