"But I don't want to fight! It means getting hurt!" Silverpaw protested, her frustration showing through her eyes. "I don't want to get hurt, and I don't want to hurt others. What's the point of fighting?" She looked at her mother, the ThunderClan deputy, hoping she would defend her daughter. Unmotivated ThunderClan Apprentice

For a moment the she-cat's eyes softened from their usual hard stare. She knew that a lot of Silverpaws hesitation wasn't because she was lazy, but because she had fears to do with her condition. "None of the others will use their claws on you." She reminded Silverpaw, "and we would never ask you to use them on your clanmates." She stood over, away from Antswarm, to move closer to Silverpaw. "But there may come a day where we have to fight to protect our clan. If you don't learn how to fight, and you can't protect them when that day comes, how would you feel?" She asked, looking briefly to Sandleaf, showing Silverpaw who she was referring to. ... teach, not fight.

Thunderclan DeputyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxApprentice: Featherpaw Sandleaf was watching her daughter slightly as she talked to her mentor. She shouldn't have told her mentor that, she knew that she had to learn to fight to protect her clanmates. She sighed as she looked at Featherpaw. "We will go practice your battle moves Featherpaw." she meowed to her apprentice before turning back to Pepperdust. She nodded towards her daughter and sighed a little. xxI'm sick of always talking when there's no changexxxI'm sick of empty words, let's lead and not follow

Falconstar looked around and smiled at his deputy before he walked among
his fellow clanmates to look for warriors that were unoccupied to lead border
patrols. He had already been on a hunting patrol and brought back the prey
that his apprentice and Pepperdust had caught for the clan, but their borders
should be rechecked and remarked.
He finally approached Clouddust and Joltstreak before he sat down next to
the pair. "Would you two be willing to patrol the Riverclan border this
morning? Take another cat along with you if you can, but I want the border
remarked from our side. They may have taken the sunning rocks from us, but
we will ensure they do not get any more territory," he said with a small smile. —¤ ' ¤ ' ¤—

Thunderclan ApprenticexxxxxxxxxxxxxMentor: Falconstar Once Winterpaw had placed her fresh-kill on the fresh-kill pile she looked around camp. She spotted her mentor talking to Clouddust and Joltstreak so she didn't bother on bugging her mentor, so she looked over to Antswarm. Maybe he needed fresh moss for his nest. She padded over to him and dipped her head respectfully to the elder before she spoke. "Do you need fresh moss for your nest?" Thunderclan WarriorxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxApprentice: N/A Clouddust dipped her head respectfully to Falconstar as she looked at the handsome tom. She nodded as she spoke to him. "Why yes of course Falconstar." She mewed softly as she looked at the she-cat next to her. "Get someone to come with us, I'll wait by the entrance." Ever since she had returned back to camp almost four seasons ago, most cats didn't trust her because she had taken a kittypet for a mate. She sighed as she looked at her son Stormpaw for a minute.

Antswarm looked up at Winterpaw. "That would be very nice." He purred to her. "Thank you." He saw Flaconstar placing the kills in the pile. "You were the one who caught that rabbit, if my ears still hear correctly." He added. "Very impressive, it's almost bigger then you!" ... if you know how to look at it.

Thanks Stormpaw and your welcome!" She added kindly. The light brown she-cat rolled her dark green eyes playfully at his comment saying that the reason she said that was for payback. She couldn't help but laugh." Maybe I am, or maybe I'm not." Brookpaw said mysteriously yet in a playful tone sticking her tongue at him. Through the corner of her eyes she caught sight of her mentor Voletooth and dipped her head gently in hello. Then put her focus back on her friend. ❧ נoltstreak quickly nodded back to Clouddust and said " Sure Falconstar!" Jolstreak quickly got up and raced into the clearing, her bright blue eyes searching for a vacant warrior. As she looked around she couldnt find anyone. Many mentors were about to take their apprentices out and there were two apprentices playing around. She quickly turned around and raced up to Clouddust. " Seems that there are already a bunch of cats going on different patrols so noone is available." Joltstreak lashed her tail back and forth and bounced up and down on her paws.

Pepperdust's ears shot backward, and a slight hiss escaped her mouth. She didn't like being disrespected by her own apprentice. She sat there for a moment with her eyes closed, trying to control her temper before she batted the apprentices ear off. "What are you concerned about then?!" She hissed at Silverpaw. ... teach, not fight.

Falconstar overhead Pepperdust and his apprentice in some sort of conflict,
and saw that Sandleaf was near them. He sighed softly before walking over
and hearing a bit of the conversation. It seemed to be about fighting, and the
young Silverpaw seemed to be quite the pacifist.
"I tend to agree, Silverpaw, if there was no fighting, the world would be a
better place, but sadly enough there are cats who may aim to hurt your
clanmates or even yourself. We do not fight because we like it, we do it to
defend ourselves and others. It is against the warrior code to kill another, and
rightly so," he said to the young apprentice.
"What if your mother was in danger?" he asked the young apprentice,
looking to Sandleaf, "Wouldn't you want to help her? And how could you
unless you fought to protect her? The world may be a better place without
fighting, and I certainly don't enjoy hurting others, but when it comes down to
protecting the ones you love, sometimes you need to fight." —¤ ' ¤ ' ¤—

"You try bleeding a river when you get a cut!" Silverpaw snapped back at her mentor, who was obviously much more frustrated with her.
The silver tabby she-cat was suddenly silenced when Falconstar approached and agreed with her. She hadn't expected the ThunderClan leader to agree with her, and she was feeling rather proud of herself when he suddenly changed the topic to her mother, the ThunderClan deputy Sandleaf. She didn't want to fight at all, and hoped that her mother would never have to fight, that none of the Clans would have to fight. Silverpaw was busy thinking of a smart response when the ThunderClan medicine cat exited from his den, obviously hearing the argument between her and her mentor Pepperdust.
The dark tabby tom approached the cats, seeing Falconstar amongst the cats, and he dipped his head as a gesture of respect towards the leader, but meaning absolutely none of it. "Silverpaw, if you expect to become a warrior, you will need to know how to fight, regardless of your condition." Darksplash mewed as he flicked his tail impatiently.
The silver tabby blinked at the fluffy medicine cat, and she took a step back when he approached. She had always been scared of the medicine cat, since he was always so angry. She nodded mutely, and turned to look at Pepperdust, her head bowed in apology.

Pepperdust saw Silverpaw's head dipped in apology, and she did the same. "I'm sorry for losing my temper with you." She said to Silverpaw. "I know your condition makes things hard for you, and I should be more considerate." She said, hating her own harshness at times. "Would you rather go on a hunt today?" Antswarm smiled when he saw the conflict between Silverpaw and Pepperdust resolve. He knew Pepperdust since she was a kit, and he knew that considering other's feelings didn't always come naturally to her. But whenever she did realize how she'd hurt others, she would regret it. And Silverpaw's condition made her nervous, as it would for any cat. Still she did sometimes let it scare her too much.
"I doubt it will be the last time those two butt heads." He thought to himself, "but they are good for each other." ... if you know how to look at it.

The silver tabby she-cat nodded in understanding to her mentor, knowing that she lost her temper a lot anyways, and that Silverpaw would just have to deal with it.
