"Hey," Jordan protested, surprised. "You don't have to call me sir, okay? Just Jordan."

"Really? But you're higher ranking than me. It's why this whole thing..." She offered up a chuckle banishing a bit of emotion, "... well, I knew I was coming to you looking like a kitten threatening the tiger."

"You've also been awake a shorter time," Jordan said. "I'm sure you'll get promoted soon enough. Anyway, it just feels weird." He shrugged. "I'd rather people call me by name. It's easier."

"Okay then, Jordan." The smile relaxed further, "So. Does this make us acquaintances, friends or what?"

Jordan thought about that. "I don't know you well enough to really say we're friends yet, but I think a step up from acquaintances, anyway," he decided. He chuckled. "I expect I'll be seeing more of you, though."

She nodded, "Damn straight you will. I'll be looking forward to it."
She stood with her juice boxes, shifting both to one hand so she can offer her other, "'Till we meet again Jordan?"

"Till we meet again." Jordan shook her hand, then picked his book back up. Before opening it again, though, he grinned up at her. "Next time don't corner Harrison with unexpected personal questions. He won't be nice, but he might be nicer."

Rin started to turn to walk away after shaking his hand when Jordan offered a helpful tip, "How else was I meant to approach something so.. sensitive anyway?"
She raised her brows at him but smiled anyway. It's okay though, what's done is done. She waved him farewell as she turned away from him again. Deciding not to start asking him what he was reading like an annoying pest and just leaving him to it.

"Get me to do it." Jordan grinned mischievously.
As she turned away, he lifted a hand by way of goodbyes. All in all, that had been pretty productive, he thought. Also, prime teasing material for his guys later. He reopened his book and settled in to read again.
