Following the sounds ahead, Jove felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise. Whatever was going on here, it wasn't good. And then he caught sight of the hunters. Those all too familiar white and gold coats, the scent of humans, once again they had come to victimize not just Halloween, but the isle of the War clan who had taken the students in and showed them their weapons and their fighting skills. That rage that lingered from the Death trials flared up inside him. But this time he had an actual enemy to attack. The transformation to his large dog form was sudden and mid-leap as he launched himself at the nearest hunter. Everyone was ganging up on Before and Candace, and Syd was having a bit of trouble choosing who to hit. When she saw a ghost, though, it made her mind up for her. As reluctant as Jove had seemed outside with that reaper ghoul he had never seen before, in here he was all about the biting and grr. It was pretty damn awesome, at least until some human started shooting at the ghost. West rushed toward the Hunter, elbow first, and aimed what he hoped was a strong backhand at her face. “ Oh, no, I give you all the credit Miss Can—“ The young woman paused as she heard a voice from her bag and immediately fished out her communications device, beaming widely. How nice it was to hear Dakota and Rep and Ryan! But wait… Her eyes widened. H was alive? She…she knew it! He was magic! She looked elated, especially as Candace seemed to handle the emotional rush, and brought the device up to speak into it. Communications Device “Hi there, Dakota! We’re doing alright! We’re doing the same as well. I’m so happy to hear he’s alright! I knew he was magic! You be safe too, alright? And oh, I have a new nickname for you. I’ll tell you later. Good luck!” It seemed that no sooner that she had put the device away, things were afoot again. Molly’s brows furrowed as the room’s atmosphere shifted, and her heart spiked at the appearance of intruders. Molly’s eyes widened as she froze at the incoming students. Shadows. Evil beings. A mission, her team mates. The hesitation only lasted until a blue skinned creature had the audacity to lay a hand on Candace. The Mist’s brows furrowed, and her lance was shifted into a ready position. With a furrowed brow and a deep frown, Molly lashed out at the demon with a powerful jab. " Don't you touch her!" Before shouldn't be surprised to find animals were attacking him. "Oh ********! SNAKE!" he yelled, letting Vanna take the brunt of the headbutt. But with this distraction, he felt sharp teeth dig into his FEAR shield and saw, "PIRANHA DOG!" DDDDDDDDDD8!??!?! He stood his ground on the tile and swung his weapon, aiming the spikes at the creature.

Jove let out a deep, rumbling growl as he felt the arrow strike him from behind, and let out not a loud bark as he was clubbed by the giant wheel thing. There was no pain that could get past his rage, and he lunged in the archer's direction. He had learned that much from the War clan, that arrows were really only a good offense when you were too far away to be hurt yourself. He wasn't going to let this hunter have that advantage! Protect the runes. Feng could do that! He was stunned by the sudden flood of all things horned or fluffy, however. These people were... freaky. He frowned and took up tile 35, summoning his weapon. Shang appeared in his hands, a heavy, comfortable weight that gave the man more confidence.
When he noticed a yelloish girl in a business suit - business suit? Was she here for a meeting? - attacking Candace, he picked his target. He swung his weapon hard and fast, with the confidence of someone who'd been practicing. He was slowly losing interest again, more concerned about getting his familiar to calm down than the fight at hand - that was, until he spotted something fluffy. Really, really fluffy, and bigger than the average Foxfire... And it was being attacked by one of the strangers he had figured was one of the "fabled" hunters.
"Here, attack that one," He directed his familiar in the direction of the one who looked like she was weakening, "She's attacking a poor child." Not exactly the truth, but still; and on his command, Biskoto hissed and struck out at the female, giving her a headbutt.

Syd fell backwards, thrown by the heavy smack to the face. They were strong. She hadn't been told they would be this strong--but she had fought bigger enemies, she told herself-- Then again, those enemies hadn't spoken. This one was intelligent and powerful. Stubbornly, still on the ground, she aimed Izy right at the pink haired male and shot him in the chest. She wasn't going to go down without a fight! Looks like by default Amarus, Olivia and Faustus were stuck in this fight. She feared for her friends, and took note of those who were around, before she was stuck in the fray. She recognized Jove, knowing he was dear to Ren, and as she was on a tile relatively close to this action, she attacked The hunter with the scar on his nose; maybe she could finally get payback for what had happened earlier... Amarus folded her hands into the Kuji-kiri for Rin and aimed at him.
Not this time around. As he was currently busy with Jove, Amarus miscalculated her attack, failing to strike him.
