A glint of light on something on the forest floor caught Canon's attention. She scooped it up, and turned it over, noticing the fetching swirl marking. What could it be?
Perhaps a new line of research? She tucked it away.

Ulmuka hadn't tried the obstacle course yet in his trip. He'd mostly been flying around enjoying the heights. He was very enthusiastic about the course and launched himself first into the nets. He wasn't the most skilled climber but he seemed to be making progress when he felt something snap onto his leg.
"Hoo?" He puzzled, looking down, only to feel himself being tossed from the course.

Muka returned to the course with determination. He pushed his sleeves up and launched himself towards the nets. Now that he knew where the trap was he quickly avoided it. HIs talons helped him grip the ropes and his wings helped him glide upwards short distances.
He ducked as some spears flew out of nowhere but avoided being pinned and continued on. it led to a rickety bridge with strong winds but Muka was skilled with wind and seemed to launch across the bridge without much difficulty.
Suddenly he reached the end, or so he thought. The strix panted but giggled triumphantly. Until he saw that sign that said 'Actual Course Ahead'. He'd never known what QQing was, until that moment.

Something on the ground glinted but when he leaned down he found it was nothing but a broken arrowhead.

The strix, proud to have finished anyway, took off to find something else to do.

Once again, Edel made it quickly past the rope course and other hanging obstacles to get to the actual start of the obstacle course. Right, before she began, she had to remember this time that the wooden platform on the other end was a trap. As for if there were any other traps lying ahead .... she would just have to try and avoid them. Wish her luck anyone?

Looks like someone had been listening. The ghoul spotted a familiar glint on the floor and picked up another one of the stone tokens, pocketing it for safe-keeping. Alright, now she was geared up and ready to go!

Edel blinked. No this just couldn't be.
Time was frozen for just that little moment where Edel stared. And stared. And stared at the trap that had ensnared her foot just seconds into the start of her attempt.
Was there time to just say: Oh sna-
And out of the course the ghoul was sent flying.

Shun had recalled seeing the obstacle course not too far off from the dormitory, but he hadn't gotten around to having a hand at it just yet. That was about to change. Making his way to it, he looked it over for the moment, then went ahead to try it out. The net wasn't a problem for him, and the spears, he managed to dodge. It wasn't a bad start to say in the very least.
However, as he looked around to see where he needed to go next, a large wooden crate had fallen onto him, trapping him inside.
"..Kussoooo..." he hissed in irritation. He should have kept an eye out for that.

There was no easy way to get out of the crate as far as Shun was concerned. He tried a few things here and there with little success. Grimacing, he worked on escaping his cage. It took awhile, but he managed to get out eventually. And at that point, he wasn't really so keen on going further into the obstacle course. He'd come back another time to attempt it.

Before heading to the observation point, Mitzi decided to do a quick run on the obstacle courses. She knew she'd be fine there, and maybe she'd even make it through again.
To her chagrin, though, when she reached the flat area she found herself once again caught under a large box. With a bit of heaving she managed to get it off, but it broke her rhythm.

And it didn't take long after that before spears came flying out of nowhere (again). She managed to dodge most of them, but a couple caught her sleeve. She didn't want to rip the fabric, but she also didn't trust the spear thrower not to take advantage of having her pinned. She did end up damaging her sleeve in her attempt to free herself, but at least she was pretty sure she could mend it later.
Feeling a bit frustrated, she headed back towards the front. Luckily there were no more major incidents, but she decided she was done with this for now.

His first visit to this course had been treacherous so the strix was aware of some of the obstacles and just lucky enough to avoid them. The last time he'd crossed this bridge the wind had not kicked up and it had been easy going but this time he was sent tumbling to his doom -- a net.

He was beginning to tire. The journey out of the chasm had been a long one. Muka had gotten sloppy and slow to react. Out of nowhere he was stuck with spears, pinned to a tree until a horsemen (who looked annoyed to help him again) came to let him free.
Perhaps he'd try again tomorrow.

Despite the tiring class she had that day, Edel had decided against her better judgment to simply just go back to the dorms to take a good rest and instead, challenge the obstacle course instead.
There was always some ambiguity to where the obstacle course actually started, but the ghoul, clearly too tired from the day's events, should really have noticed that something was wrong when she stepped onto the wooden platform.
This has happened before hasn't it?
The ghoul only had time to blink before she was enveloped in darkness. Not again, the wooden crate....

Finally.
The light.
It had taken a good 15 minutes to get out of the crate.
And then - darkness once more.
Guess that'll be another 15 minutes.
