Auri stood on her heels stoically as JD shook her. She starred intently at that dumb wall he called a face. She shook loose of his grip, golden handprints still lingering on her shoulders. He was serious.

"I don't know what trouble you've been getting up to while you were hip-thrusting your way through life here. But daddy signed me up for these classes. He thinks these clansman could be a perfect target for his next business venture. I don't know about all that though. Don't they pay each other with beads or something?" she scoffed. "Anyway, I'm here to scout out the place or something."

Little did JD know she was causing trouble at Hell's Gate Academy. Mr. King had to keep her out of trouble, and JD needed to be punished after his last magazine stunt.

"And look at me when I talk to you!" She looked around to see who the jack he was looking at. Who was that big dead guy anyway?

Alex was there, slouched over in his chair with his arms crossed over his chest, listening attentively to what Arel had to say about the exchange program that the zomboil had been invited to join. It all sounded a little overwhelming and actually quite intimidating when the secretary began giving them all warnings and lecturing them on behavior, and he still wasn't quite sure why he had decided to sign up, especially after the traumatizing trials.

At least he could comfort himself in knowing that he and Yin had both signed up for and gotten assigned to the same class in the first week. He didn't know if that necessarily meant they would get to be together, but he could hope.

The second week was going to suck, but he told himself he had to be less dependent on others all of the damn time and start learning to be on his own. This would be...character building. Yes. That's what he had to tell himself, even as he glanced towards the weremantis beside him and gave him a quick smile. He was still worried though, about that second week, about how his nerves, still jangled from the trials, were going to hold up. But it would probably all be okay.

"Tell me again why I'm doing this?" he mumbled, probably barely even loud enough for Yin to hear.

El Greco was distracted. Not fixated, like what most ghosts would be. There was nothing that caught his artistic eye. There was no portrait or painting he had to stare at. He has seen most of the students in assembly before. He had seen most of the faces in the building. It was the same school, just a different day.

But it was thought, the idea of being elsewhere was what caught his full attention. He knew so little about the Four Clans, yet there were going to be immersed in something new and foreign. They already had a taste of their culture in the trials, and it left a bad taste in his mouth.

Now he was a little worried, but the presence of the familiar reaper eased it a little.

“I’m going.” He turned his head a little and looked at her at the corner of his eye. “I’m not sure if I should.”

Bul sighed for Willow but smiled still. "Man I'm almost regretting not having many plans. Maybe I'll go home and visit the folks? Maybe watch some replays from the trials."

---

Wait. Now how did he miss THESE two? Ace was picking up some activity flanking one side of the auditorium, and who should his eyes find but Johnny Danger and a fabulously GOLDEN ghoul beside him. Gold meant money. Gold and Johnny Danger meant BOOKOO money.

Curiously, the stout demon sauntered his way over, his hands idly folding back his cuffs and adjusting the spade cufflinks on them. "If I didn't know any better I'd say I was in the presence of Mr. King's lovely offspring~" the younger boil smirked. Coming from a wealthy family would lead one to believe that in some way, shape or form, business or socializing had been dealt with the two's father before.. just not on Ace's level of course.

Wylfenne took a deep breath. "So, here we are", she thought, in her female form, half mockingly addressing her male other half. The air smelled of fear and anxiety, actually the most common smell in this world. After all, it is not that different from the Wild Hunt she participated in almost since her birth. With a pang of wild joy she remembered the mission her Elders gave to her: go and make herself known, go and make herself envied, go and find powerful allies for the Family. She looked around; no one attracted her initial attention.

Willow chuckled, "So you're going home....." There was a pause as she thought, watching cady as she mentioned she was talking about horsey things. "Yeah... well I'm going to go investigate. Curiousity killed the cat but made the tiger stronger." She winked.

Suddenly there was a thought, "OH, Oh Bullll...." She grinned, "I uh... need someone to baby sit my minipets. Since you don't really have plannnnsss..." She grinned with large pleading eyes.

Alamea fidgeted, fighting the urge to keep from bouncing where she sat. Her ears were humming and she could feel the blood of excitement moving through them. Tilting her head she looked through the nearby crowd, gazing over the mass of students with a thoughtful look. Briefly glancing back to the announcement she nodded a few times energetically. To not interfere was fine, she couldn't even think of how she would begin to do such things.

Her mind buzzed and the rabbit felt a lurch in her stomach and she patted it thoughtfully. The classes would be great, the people too... now all she was wondering about was what kinds of new food she would taste. Biting her bottom lip she fought back a squeal and leaned back into her chair while tapping her foot.

"Come on, let's get to it." She mumbled, but with a genuine smile. This was the experience of a lifetime.

Nuru shuffled in and sat right next to Zar, predictably. He was a bit more interested in the announcement than the other students however. His floppy velvety ears twitching at almost every word... until. No natural forrrrmmmsss...

Nuru flopped against his seat with a throaty whiiine.

"Ah dunno if ah can make it Zar." As whiny as he was being, there was still a subtle playful tone to his words.

Mei continued to look about the auditorium. Until her eyes landed on a familiar zombie boil. A wide grin spread across her face as she got up from her chair and wandered over towards him. Dodging random gnomes that were scuttling about in the walk ways.

"Alex hey!" She called out, waving a hand in the air. As she drew close she noticed the boil sitting next to her friend. Mei wondered if this was Yin since Alex seemed to be whispering to him. "You know what classes you're taking yet?"

Beads? Really? There was NO WAY dad could be THAT ignorant. "Yeah, beads and horrible nightmare inducing bullshit maybe," he muttered. "And I'll look wherever I want, you twerp!"

Siblings. His anger quickly fizzled as a demon he didn't recognize sauntered up to them. The LAST thing JD needed was another article about him making some offhanded comment again. "Yeah. I'm Johnny. This little bit of moonshine," he added derisively, mussing her hair perhaps a little rougher than neccessary, "Is Auri. I dunno if we've met, man. You go here?" His gesture took in the whole of Amity campus with one lazy whirl of a finger.

Cady just smiled and listened. She'd offer to babysit Willow's minipets, but then again she couldn't quite tell if that meant she got to eat them.

Zar shot Nuru a nonplussed look.

"Oh come on. Just because you can't wander around on all fours. This is the horsemen we are talking about. They probably have horrible floors. You might catch something. I'm just sad that I won't be able to practice my shape shifting myself. I was so hoping."

Moonshine?! Whatever. This fight would have to wait. I need to stay professional. she thought to herself. People are watching.

Auri turned to the demon boil and gave him a scanning glance. Hmm. Shifty eyes, restless hands, and impeccable style. He is definitely a demon. And a well off one at that. She wasn't sure what he was up to. Auri never really trusted OLD money. But she was willing to see how this could play out.

"So you seem to know a few names. Should I know yours?" Auri said down her nose.

There was too much of it, the noise.

Talking, yelling, lecturing, wordswordswords.

Fallows long, pitch black and neon splattered ears bent forward, shivering and listening so acutely and yet not listening at all. The feeling of being foreign didn't seem to bother him at all, nor the fact that he didn't even seem to know anyone here either. Instead, his mind buzzed around the only words that had wiggled their way into his brain and not just out the other end. Four clans. It came associated with other words too of course. New. Fresh. Dangerous. Intense too, if the speech was anything to judge it by. Fallow's head was filled with sawdust, but some of the words had managed to leave a lingering impression, and they elicited a high pitched laugh sooner fit for a banshee than him.

Ah, this was going to be fun.

The Púca's tail swished back and forth in impatience though. Fun, but this part was terribly, wretchedly -- ah, was that a rabbit? -- boring. His attention thoroughly diverted by the girl sitting a row in front of him and bouncing too, Fallow leaned forward, resting his chin on her chair and breathing down her neck without a thought in a world that this might, might just be a little bit over the boundary of personal space.

"Hellohellohello."

He giggled, a sharp and high-pitched sort of noise.

"I'm excited too."

Ace Bowed towards Auri with a suffocating sneer, his hand outstretched as if to take hers but instead of an open palm was an ace of spades card. "Auri and Johnny Danger. Naw, I don't go here yet, but I am looking towards enrolling since, ahem," he cleared his throat. "It is one of the cheaper alternatives."

His golden eyes darted to Auri again as he straightened back up. ""Ace" Amaana, miss Auri," he replied courteously.

Jack was ready, sitting in the auditorium quietly as everyone was filing in, a totebag on his side. It was weird being year two, already, and if it hadn't been for Tomoko, he probably would have been a little late - and more disheveled.

Coughing lightly, he listened to the announcements from Arel, rubbing an eye idly as he worked out his pack that was put together as he was waking up, by the kitsunes magic, provisions that he had picked out littered with foods, notes and whatnot, the half-pathetic, half-confused mewling from Drei quivering up from his lap as they waited.

Homework? Fine, he was used to homework - especially those that try to take him out with their bodies to his face. It was more the idea of being able to view the four clans in their original settings that made him a little excited for this rare event, his tail thumping off the chair he sat in. He wouldn't interfere unless requested - Jack was a watcher, not so much a do-er.
