She was taking this seriously and the fact she hadn’t stormed off angrily or started yelling at him meant she was agreeing. She would wait to just a bit more to actually tell him outright, or so Tsukiyomi hoped. He smiled as she played along with his earlier statement of telling her about his family. He had known she was a sister and had a decent family although he didn’t know their names. He had also known about the color purple as it had come up and she wore a lot of purple and different colors of purple. “Well my favorite color is black” he looked at one of his bangs during this. “Only because my favorite animal the raven is also black. Oh and my favorite season is winter, and I don’t really like eating birds as you know as my mother was a phim”
“yes Susanoo was my younger brother, was a pain in the butt and a bit of an a**. His temperament was more of a half daeva than of some one who had phim blood running through them. Ugh I shudder to think of what he must be like today. However I hope he grew up with a good pair on his shoulders.”

Hmmm guess it turned into a kind of question game after all. She wondered if they where ever going to get a full meal for breakfast but then again. This was a bit more important that food which they could always get in a few more minutes. “Black huh, ravens are pretty cute but I think I like kittens better, if you go into the human cities the tiny little cats are just soo adorable but then babies of any species are pretty cool. Ooh I like bald eagles. Favorite season is Fall, mostly because of my birthday and what else” Lerin mused. “Oh I don’t like rabbit all that much, I can handle birds. Unfortunately all my family was boring old normals.
As for your brother since he drew on the same genetics that make up you I'm sure that he turned out fine. maybe one day we can make it an adventure you go and find him. However I see your point. Besides I guess we’ll have a bit of time to learn about each other. Hmm you know we’re never going to live this down if we ever meet up with Helios and Rei again” Lerin mused. “they where always going on about one day we’d be mates” she recalled.

“Well I suppose your right” Tsukiyomi sighed and leaned forward nuzzling Lerin’s cheek. Finding him one day sounded good. However he so knew that even if he ended up with a good head on his shoulders Susanoo would still be a bit of an a**. He could already at least see that starting to form in his brother. Ah well that was a concern for another time. Thinking about his little brother always made him depressed and now he should be any thing but. After all Lerin had pratically agreed. So it was using Helios and Rei but it was still an agreement. Suddenly he realized what exactly she had said and groaned. Ugh maybe it was a good thing those two where on the other side of the world or where ever they had ended up. He would never hear the end of it and then he would have to maul Helios to death and that would piss off rei and there would be another epic battle to the death. Yep so good they ended up on the other side of the world. The only one he wanted to tell would probably be Micail and only to rub it into his face that he had ended up Mated, if he was the type to do so.

Mated life didn’t feel all that different from a few minutes ago when she was single. Then again she probably wouldn’t even notice any changes for a while just getting used to having Yomi around when ever she wanted. Also they where pretty good friends before so how would that impact them being together. Also wouldn’t they have to start kissing or doing….. Lerin’s face turned bright red as she found interest in a rock over in the side of the cave. “So yeah getting those berries and nuts, I have a few stores in the cav….. Oh I’m going to need a bigger place” she stated looking around. After all when she had picked the cave she didn’t think that she would be having any one suddenly live with her and did yomi have a cave of his own. Maybe he wanted to live there. “So what are we going to do about living arrangements? Do you have a place you call your own at all. I don’t really have a set place. I mean I set something up every time I think I’ll be in an area but nothing really for two foxes”

Tsukiyomi raised an eyebrow at the way Lerin suddenly started blushing and looking over towards the side. For once Tsukiyomi couldn’t guess what she was thinking about; he geared it up to Lerin being Female. However when she started to change the subject again she did bring up a good point. “Unfortunately I’m just like you where I find a cave that fits my need for the time that I’m there. I think both of our wanderlust is at least dead for the moment so a good cave to settle down with at least for a while would be good. We know here isn’t the best since its still covered with snow and that the bears find this as a good fishing spot. I can see problems with bears. Shall we travel a bit today and see if we can find something that fits both of our criticism?” Yomi asked. Personally he would be living with Lerin and anything would be fine. Even the place she was currently staying at, however he did have to agree it would make them extremely cramped. He looked over at her again to see if she had any ideas.

Okay so her mind apparently was like everyone else and took trips to the gutter. However this was hardly the time to be thinking is. Lerin needed to shape up before Yomi asked embarrassing questions like why in the world was she blushing? She definitely wasn’t telling him the answer though, that was for certain. Luckily for her Yomi seemed to have written the whole thing off, which she had to say was rather smart of him. However if she kept making weird expressions he was eventually going to ask. Now this would be the perfect time for a change in subject. Lets see they where talking about caves. Yes Caves was a relatively safe topic. Did she know of any close by that would be good for living in that wouldn’t put them right in the middle of bear fishing grounds? Well not really any in the near vicinity. Plus it would be nice to go on a small little adventure that didn’t involve hungry bears with her friend… mate. Oh she was going to have to get used to that. “I don’t mind exploring. We can finally get to those berries and I can store some for snacks down the road” Lerin suggested.

Hmmm he had been exploring an area near the ocean and a lovely meadow right before meeting Lerin again. He was pretty sure he saw some caves by there. It would be a bit different living on a beach, something neither of them had tried before. However he was up to trying it. Obviously they would have to check to make sure the caves weren’t already inhabited and see how the water affected the dampness in the cave. “Well I was about to explore a cave system before I met a fox named tybalt. He got me talking about flowers and then the need to travel around and I decided I wanted to see you before checking them out. I think maybe one of those would be a good place to start.” Tsukiyomi threw the idea out. “It was right off the ocean, so it would be a bit different but they looked big enough to set up a home for. The berries do sound like a good idea and we can get your stuff you have in the cave.” He looked around and noticed a few human like things that could be used to store things. Bags, he was pretty sure they where called. Lerin had found they could hold things and instantly fell in love with collecting some for travel.

“a cave system hmmm” Lerin thought about it. It did have potential. Being so close to the water and a source of food the caves might be already inhabited but that put a bit of adventure on the whole thing. Suddenly she was drawn out of her thoughts by the rest of Yomi’s statements. Oh she would have to go and meet this Tybalt one day and thank him. However…. “How did traveling around the world and flowers remind you of me silly” Lerin teased shaking her head. She noticed her braid and let out a small sound of annoyance. She would have to redo it pretty soon. Since she didn’t have any thumbs it wasn’t impossible it was just time consuming. Rei had mentioned once that she should just leave it down but she rather liked braids. They where a symbol in her village and she had worn one for as long as she could remember.
“Alright I’ll gather my small amount of things then. Say goodbye to this place and we can be on our way.” Lerin replied with a nod. She rather liked the ocean, the sound of the birds and waves crashing. She was rather terrified to go into the water but staying on the beach was always nice.

“Your braid is coming undone. You should teach me some day how to braid, I wouldn’t mind helping you when it becomes all unraveled like it is” Tsukiyomi spoke up, and smiled as a blush flushed across his Mate’s cheeks. He knew that the Braid was important to Lerin. He had never asked the reasons behind it yet. It seemed to be a story for another time. However he definitely wanted to know about it now. “Ah yes a cave system. I don’t think its too inhabited, or at least by anything we cant share a cave with. Big cats don’t really live that close to the area I don’t think and its too hard to get to for a bear. Not really a wolf hang out either. Those are pretty much the different things we have to worry about. Well other than other Modifoxes and humans however the humans stopped living in the caves.” Yomi mused.
“Well um the flowers reminded me of you because I tend to associate red and purple things with you. It was a bunch of purple flowers and Tybalt had long hair. Silly reasons I know but they where enough for me.” He admitted this time his own blush briefly appearing on his cheeks before he willed it down.

“Ah, yeah I-I guess it is” Lerin blushed turning dark red. She didn’t understand why that comment got to her so much. Maybe it was that he understood how much the braid actually meant to her. Of course teaching Tsukiyomi how to braid hair, which would be an adventure by its self considering that you normally needed a fox with long hair but it would just add in more importance to the hair style. However she was willing to take on the challenge. Perhaps she could track Inara down and ask her. Inara had about as long of Hair as Lerin did. “Yeah I don’t mind teaching you at all” She replied. She noticed he had other things to ask but nothing came after the initial braid question so she figured it wasn’t that important.
“Well that’s good I would feel bad about driving some one out. However depending on the caves in question and the foxes or creatures living in the cave, if there where any, I wouldn’t mind having a neighbor or two.” Lerin mused. Mountain lions might be a problem as they could live close to the coast but it would be useless to postulate about what or what might not be there. They would deal with it when it came to that. Suddenly she frowned and gave Tsukiyomi a look. “Well I guess being associated with a purple flower isn’t that bad but it is a bit silly you lady killer”

Tsukiyomi smiled, glad that his mention on learning how to braid had gone over so well. He knew that Lerin had a problem with others touching her hair. He was glad she was going to allow him to touch it but then you couldn’t really call someone your mate if you couldn’t touch their hair. Plus the fact that she seemed really happy as well was another perk. “Well then I look forward to your teaching” he smiled. Obviously they needed some one else to work on as Lerin definitely wouldn’t let him learn on her hair and from what he could see and understand probably a bit hard as well. However he was pretty sure Lerin would figure something out. “Hey I am not a lady killer, although….” He purposely trailed off with a smirk. It had always been a joke when he and Susanoo where growing up that the female vixens in their area stalked the two around everywhere. It was a definitely welcome when he left and Helios helped steal away some of the attention. It probably also helped that everyone was in a more fighting mood as well.
He watched as Lerin walked around and gathered up her things. A couple of things of berries and nuts and trinkets that Yomi assumed had some value to her. Once it looked like she was ready to go he let out a nodd and began to follow her towards what he assumed was the berry patch they had been trying to get to for a while now. Of course he was partially to blame for taking so long but now it looked as if they where finally on their way.

Perhaps she could find three pieces of string and tie them to a branch or something and teach him that way. She vaguely remembered that method of teaching when her mother taught her. Then again most every one in her family had long hair. “It might take a while. I’ve never taught any one before but uh, I can try since you want to learn.” Lerin smiled. Perhaps even Liani would allow them to practice on her. Then again her hair was pretty curly probably not the best to practice on but she didn’t really know that many people with long hair. She’d definitely have to try that string thing. Perhaps she could tell Yomi of her plan and he could help refine it, after all some times two minds where better than one. “Oh really and what’s with the rest of that sentence hmmmm” Lerin teased bumping into him.
Once they got to the berry patch Lerin sighed and looked at the webs covering all the bushes. She knew with out a doubt that big ugly and wicked looking spiders would be covering all the bushes. She turned to Tsukiyomi with a sigh and shook her head. “You know I think it’s a sign the Universe really doesn’t want us to get any berries” She replied with a slight chuckle. Ugh those spiders were seriously ugly. She hated those probably the most. Well that might not be totally accurate.

Yomi nodded leaving the teaching and when it would happen to Lerin after all she was the expert. It was also understandable that it would take some time. After all the only one with long hair that would work was Lerin. Well there was one other but yomi didn’t even want to think about Micail, the slippery b*****d. “I am fine with that, I figured it might, but I wanted to get the thought out in the open so you could think about it” he replied. At the mention of her other comment he smirked a bit more before deciding to tell her. “Well it was just a silly inside joke. My brother and I were…. I guess considered rather good looking when we where younger and the females of the village liked to chase us around. It was a very welcome change when you and Rei didn’t drool over me when I first met you two.” He replied.
“Still have that phobia of spiders I see” yomi shook his head and then disappeared for a moment coming back with a large branch that he then used the still leafy part as a broom to swipe away all the spiders. As they scurried around and tried to get back to the bush that was when he grabbed some berries. He noticed a freaked out Lerin come up beside him still looking for the spiders to attack her but none the less started shuffling them into her makeshift carrying bag.

Lerin watched him as he brushed the spiders to the side and tried collecting the berries. He wasn’t going to get that many as he didn’t have anything to put them in. Unfortunately, Lerin so happened to be the one with a bag to store them in. Technically the spiders were no longer on the bush but they where still crawling along the ground, just waiting to ambush her, she knew it. None the less she quickly ran over to gather up the berries she could before her fear won over again and she quickly dashed back to a safe spiderless zone. She gave a glare to Yomi when he gave her an amused smile back. Ugh a girl should be allowed to have one irrational fear in her life. She was sure Yomi was afraid of something even though she would never press him for it. Besides it was also nice to hear him laugh even if the smug jerk was doing it towards her. “Yeah yeah laugh it up”
“As to your earlier statement about all the women chasing you, well I guess I can see it after all you are still pretty good looking and I do remember that one tribe incident that had you fleeing from the town so fast it was like me and spiders. Oh are fangirls your fear? Hah I knew everyone has an irrational fear.” She teased back. Then again anyone would be afraid of being eyed up like a piece of meat, after all your virtue was in full danger. “Well I think we have enough berries if you want to hit the road”

Well Yomi always knew his mate could move fast when she wanted to. He didn’t really see what was so terrifying for spiders but a lot of females tended to fear them. Rei had the same fear if he recalled correctly. However he did giver her points for braving the spiders in order to put the berries in the bag. Even if she could have just handed it over to him. Come to think of it he probably shouldn’t mention that little fact. Lerin was likely to attack him or plot out some form of evil revenge. Her pranks when she teamed up with Micail where often legendary. “Pfft you see if you can stand being eyed up like you’re a prime cut of venison” Tsukiyomi glared when she turned his teasing on him. Ugh he hated fangirls with a passion. It was probably the only time that he had ever gotten along with Micail, the pervert for once not liking all the attention he was getting either. Of course Rei and Helios had never let them live it down…. Never.
“Yeah I think we’re ready. I do hope to get at least situated some where tonight. It might not be the destination we have planned but something better than out in the open.” Tsukiyom replied. He had done enough of baring the elements. Maybe one of his weird quirks considering he was a fox and should enjoy being out in the open. He did in fact like walking around in nature, but only when he was conscious and could see if anything would leap out to attack him.
