Clerise cocked her head, baffled by his shock-- and filed it away. She could analyze it later.
"What? I mean, I hate most music, but s**t I can dance to is all right in my book. Whassamatter with it? I'm sure one of the techies in the lab could get you squared away, or whatever."
Sure, he might get...a few additional features with it, but still!

"Ahuh." Clerise gave him a long stare, eyes narrowing. "Welp, it sure didn't turn me, because I certainly like, well." She glanced down at his crotch, then back up, smiling sweetly. "Let's just say I'm not as picky as you. Besides. Same difference, isn't it?"

He actually squirmed uncomfortably at Clerise's gaze as if somehow she could see through his clothing, backing away a bit and looking indignant.
"Its ..s..still gay okay. Maybe not to women listening to it."

Harrison showed up for one reason, and that was investigation. Not that he guessed the mystery needed urgent solving now (obvious deadlines aside), but it still baffled him.
He guessed the multi-color posters and Music Tryouts might be the best opportunity to see Jerry working some Jerry-mojo, whatever that might entail.
Definitely not here to sing, because nope.
Harrison was also wearing reading glasses.
This was an important part of the investigation.

He was looking away from Clerise, wondering why looking wasn't classed as harassment when Harrison wandered in.

Tracey made it known that he knew why he was wearing glasses but wasn't at liberty to say while shushed. Rep told him to stay ******** silent. And just..observed. For now anyway.

Finally, the jam session seemed to come to a halt as Jerry strummed an ending series of chords punctuated by a giggling laughter. This was better than being drunk. Drunk on music. That he could deal with. That he loved. Beaming at all of the faces around him, and glancin gto the clipboard before adding what additional names he knew, he lifted a kazoo to give a sharp TOOT TOOT whistle to draw people's attention. "Everyone! Thank you so much for coming! Now, if we could all just have a seat over here, you can enjoy our refreshments as we start auditions! Who's up first?" Beaming, his eyes locked on the nearest unfortunate soul. OOC AUDITION TIME!No need for order, simply roll 1d10! 1 means you did lousy and it's painful and oh god what are you doing. 10 means you are amazing. We're talking Robert-level amazing. Jerry will most likely want to become your new BFF. anything in between, it's up to you to judge the scale! How does this performance compare to how you imagine your character ICly being able to sing or perform? Describe this distance and what might have helped or hindered the process in your RP post! No need for any order, just roll and post your character standing up and taking their turn! THOSE NOT AUDITIONING: Running commentary is crucial. wink LATE COMERS WELCOME! Rin stumbled over to try and grab a seat, it was soon after she got comfortable that Jerry seemed to call for the auditions of the musical variety.
Normally, she could sing. Surprisingly well for how harsh and abrasive she generally was when she wasn't being quiet.
Normally.
She got up there... and shrunk, her voice shrinking with her. She was a raspy mess part way through her song and quickly cringed before fleeing back to her seat to pretend she was invisible.
"Please please just go away.", Rin was just too embarrassed to deal with Byr rubbing salt in her wound right now.

Jordan wasn't sure he actually wanted to be here. He hadn't sung in a choir, or for that matter, in public, since he was twelve. Still, he knew it would make Jerry happy if his friends showed up, and Jerry had been stressed and unhappy enough. So he was here, hanging back at the edge of the group. He might even get up the nerve to try singing.
Maybe.

What the hell were these. Harrison tilted the glasses down to look at the long rainbow row of kazoos and plastic horns. Okay. He guessed there was potential here. A lot of...blowing on things. That made sense.
Alright. Part of the experience. He gave Jerry a skeptical look, and grabbed an orange one.
While having no musical aptitude or sense of tune, Harrison was still an entirely adequate kazoo player.

He'd settled in and watched the others perform and well the longer he sat there the more Jerry's disappoint face just loomed in his mind's eye and after a few moments when no one else stood up he ...wandered forth and...
{What are you even going to do?} Yom asked curiously.
Jude had no clue and so he did the first thing that came to mind and that was sing a song, "Girl, you lived your life like a sleeping swan~," his voice pitched oddly as he sang his hands clutching to the tambourine as if they were keeping him up right in front of everyone, "your time has come to go deaper. Girl, your final journey has just begun, your destiny chose the reaper. No fear~...D..Destination Dark..ness..."
He couldn't finish the song and instead he just ... awkwardly shook the tambourine as if to signal the end with an awkward 'tada!' and then scurried to sit down his face redder than Rep's hair.
I'm going to be sick...

Izy bellowed in her mind. She jerked, her eyes widening at the shout and she hesitated, not wanting to screw up her reputation any more than she already had at the sleepover. She still blushed slightly as she thought of all the ridiculous things she had done--but--
Her eyes went to Sasha. She started chewing on her bottom lip, and she moved forward, taking a deep breath, when it was indicated that she could sing. It started out low, hesitant, more her confidence needing a boost than anything else.
And then she got into it. The one song she had sang over and over again back in school--so many times singing along with the radio that she still remembered the words even now. My Immortal.
It made her think of Izy now.

Aliester had seen the signs though he wasn't really sure about the whole thing. Until Pookie kept badgering him to go. <I hope you're happy... I'm not trying out though, I refuse to embarrasses myself.>

The unfortunate thing about auditions was that they were done in front of an audience; this one in front of a jury of his peers, no less. When Jordan stepped up, the eyes on him reminded him that he hadn't sung choir since his voice had broken. He stood for a long moment, his mind completely blanked of music and lyrics, feeling weirdly panicked. Any other form of public display had been okay so far, what was wrong with this?
He managed two verses of Ave Maria before embarrassment at his dismal performance caught up with him; then he slunk off "stage," blushing.
