Vayne kept his short fuse cooled for now, not much would set off that little spark for now. "Fight Stronger pokemon." Vayne said simply, trying to avoid a fight mostly for his pokemon. Pidgey and Ledyba both descended and landed next to Cyndaquil; who seemed more calmed since his friends were near him. Pidgey was glaring at the boy while Ledyba tried once again to calm her friend down.

Vayne shook his head and sighed. This boy... power, power, power. Like any other trainers, he thrived for it. he wanted to be the strongest, an unstoppable force. and very stubborn. but Vayne knew that it wasn't without reason, he was doing it for something or someone. Either way, the boy wasn't going to move, and Vayne needed to get him out, it was obvious that Pidgey disapproved his training method, and so did Vayne. there should be a limit of how powerful you're pokemon should fight wild, and this boy was just bullying the birds.

Cyndaquil took the lead of the three pokemon, He was strongest and also the fastest. He also believed he could train to be stronger by winning the fight. He looked back at Vayne waiting for the signal to start the fight. Vayne waited, no plans to respond to the boy he wanted to see his actions first.

Alex carefully crept a little closer to the duo in hopes that he could get close enough to hear what they were saying clearly. What he didn't count on was a pokemon being between him and them. He was crouching down so that he could look through the tall grass but be hard to see in it when he slipped a little and put his hand out to catch himself. He landed on the tail of a sleeping Shinx. It woke up and charged at Alex knocking him back a few feet.

He sat up coughing as he was hit in the stomach and it knocked the wind out of him. Even though that had just happened he knew that a Shinx was an electric type and two of his pokemon were weak to that type so he tossed a ball at the pokmon hoping to catch it and his breath. It broke out rather easily but Alex had gotten Duskie's pokeball out and pointed at the little lion for her and she seemed to understand and charged at it.

The Shinx jumped out of the way and started growling. Alex stood up and held one hand to his stomach and watched the two pokemon take turn charging at and dodging each other as neither one seemed to hit the other. Alex tossed another pokeball at it in another effort to catch it and it broke out of that one even quicker then the first, but it did give Duskie a chance to get a clean hit on the Shinx and that seemed enough to turn the tide of the fight as she kept hitting it and it couldn't retaliate.

Alex tried one last time to catch it but by the time that the pokeball hit the lion it had fainted and didn't work. "Good doggie," Alex said as he pet the Poochyena and lifted his shirt to see if he was bruised. He wasn't, but that didn't mean that it didn't hurt. He would have to be more careful in tall grass from now on... Wait... Didn't he think that before?

With that the younger boy turned around and headed out. In truth he wanted to see how he fought. Just a sly trick. He also wanted to make their inevitable Pokemon battle more interesting. Besides route 3 wasn't that far away, it'd take a few hours at least journey. Now a shiny Shinx approached Chael. It purred a bit as he rubbed the back of the wild Pokemons head. Then it walked away. Argos looked the most and was the only one disappointed. He chomped the air before following his trainer and the other Pokemon.

Chael yawned. He needed to find a Soothe Bell if he was to evolve Tsuki. Then he'd be a real threat. Problem was, it was in the Gabron Ruins and pretty rare at that. He'd need a whole lot of luck, continuing on past route 1.

If things weren't bad enough for the green trainer, Chael's Pokemon leveled up again. All things aside, he at least was good a caring for his Pokemon. In a day they had gained so much strength by his being their trainer alone. However why one strived for so much strength was beyond reason. As he walke on Chael said to Argos "We'll find him before he finds us. I swear." The Totodile nodded, despite not knowing what his serious trainer meant. He was looking for someone and from what he had implied, lived in Genesia. A far off city with strong wild monsters around. Five Pokemon following faithfully, he went on, resolve stronger.

So ... Route 1.

Turning the unfolded map this way and that, Nolan was trying to make sense of where he was, and where he wanted to be. Carefully reading the basic information on the margins, Nolan learned the first gym was ... right back in Blyse City. Nolan sighed, and scratched his head as he glanced behind him. Lowering the map to his side, he took a long, good look at the area. Seemed pretty basic, almost like just any old route at home. He just knew not what to expect to be out there, but he'd probably need something good against Flying types.

Folding the map, Nolan started walking to find a place to sit in the shade. If he'd just end up right back in Blyse City again to battle for a badge, there was no real reason to go far at all. After releasing Snivy from its pokeball ... oh, that's right, the registration for Snivy said this one was female. Nolan flipped open his pokedex to check what else it said about his new partner. The Grass pokemon, finally free of her ball, yawned, little pink tongue curling in her mouth, and sighing, with lazy eyes she looked up at the trainer.

Not really watching where he was going, Nolan sat down at the base of a tree's roots, trying to figure out the buttons on his new device. Snivy wasn't making much trouble, but she was just enjoying the bright sunlight. If her trainer wanted to sit around and do nothing, she was fine with that. But Nolan wasn't the only one who was enjoying the shade.

He glanced over, thinking it was Snivy at first ... but Snivy aren't blue and black. Nolan recoiled and stiffened in surprise, expecting an attack at any moment from the wild pokemon. It took him a few seconds to notice the unknown pokemon was still snoozing. Nolan slowly started to stand, picking up his open pokedex from where he had dropped it, but his thumb hit a button on accident. It beeped, Nolan froze again, and the Shinx nestled between the roots opened its eyes, raising its head.
"Err ... Snivy, get it!"

Snivy turned her nose into the air, crossing her short little arms, leaving Nolan speechless. He scrambled up to his feet, and the Shinx was still sluggishly blinking away the sleep. Not understanding what was going on either, the lion cub yawned and stretched slowly. Its ears perked up, and it joyfully called out a hello at the human and his pokemon, "Shiiii!"

Snivy replied in turn, curtly, "Niv."
Nolan, sure this was some kind of dastardly plot, ran around to the other side of Snivy, and trying pleading with her, asked, "Come on, won't you seriously battle?"
Well, now that Nolan didn't feel like he was in immediate danger anymore, he was feeling silly. The Shinx was smiling at both of them, being friendly, but it wasn't moving from where it stood under the tree. Maybe it wasn't going to hurt him at all. It was a reality check, and Nolan now really felt just stupid. Sighing, he looked down at his pokedex for the info. 'Flash pokemon, eh? I did say I needed something good against Flying.'

"Okay, Snivy, we're going to capture that Shinx. Rough it up, but ... err, don't be too hard on it, okay?"
Snivy nodded, and again replied curtly, "Niv." But now she was going to battle, squaring off with the Shinx. The Electric pokemon seemed to know exactly was going on, and waggling its tail excitedly, it hopped over a root to face the grass snake.

But before Snivy could make a move, the Shinx dashed forward and tackled. But Snivy was expecting this, she leaped up into the air, stepping on the Shinx's head and driving it into the grass. The Grass pokemon hopped off just as Shinx recovered, but now it shot a Leer when their eyes met again. Nolan felt like his pokemon was in trouble, because she had a surprised look on her face, stopping in place.
"Snivy, are you okay!?"
