Maybe this was a bit mean, but Clyde started twirling the lasso over his head. At least she has a lasso as well...Then again, he's probably going to end up interrupting whatever conversation she was having. Oh well, he can just apologize later.

It landed right on target, and the varcolac let out a small grin. He would have tugged at it but that might knock the poor ghoul off her feet. Better just retrieve the rope. Clyde walked up to her and took the rope off with his grin still in place, "Sorry 'bout that."

Zurine yelped slightly as a rope unexpectedly settled around her, she laughed a little bit when she saw who it was that had gotten her "No worries" She told him "I expect I kind of deserve it for roping you first"

Once freed from the rope Zurine turned her attention back to roping her own target. Leaving Mort alone - cause he seemed to be a bad luck target she twirled her rope and sent it spinning towards Sparrow instead. Whooping in glee when she managed to get him before pulling the rope off. "Are they really going to want us to do this on mounts?" She questioned those around her "Cause don't get me wrong - riding sounds like a lot of fun but I can just imagine the chaos..all of us stampeding about throwing ropes at one another...falling off"

With his knot in place, West turned to the rest of the class and...

"Hey," he muttered, feeling something tighten around his torso and arms. He followed the length of rope back to the boil who had thrown it. Once he was free, West smirked and said, "Nah, none," before turning his lasso on the reaper. It took a couple of tries, but eventually he had roped himself a Muut.

"Ha!" he laughed, pulling on the rope slightly harder than was necessary. "Backatcha!"

He retrieved his rope and looked around for someone else to lasso.

Kettil moved to lasso another boil he never met and this time succeeded taking the advice the zombie-boil had offered. Shortly after a rope fell around him from the demon he caught earlier.

OuO;;

"..Good catch, West~," Kettil laughed. Endzela had long since left her shoulder perch to be somewhere safer.

Yer a right brave one, aye boil? kekeke! The reaper boil had successfully roped her just as she finished her knot. Retracting, Levi posed herself when ready and attempted a roping in return; she'd catch herself a Kettil.

Gotcha back! Whoooeee~!
Catch a Kettil she did! Just after another rope had gone over the reaper. Peering up at the source, she found it was the wrath demon. Also of more recently, the boil she reciprocated thought of dating with; her boilfriend. Though this was not something the tatzel was willingly going to be advertising in any manner.

Smirking, Levi carefully took the rope again and held mischievously in one hand, curling the fingers of her other hand further around the length of the rope in a readied posture. Aye, West...

Target acquired.

Extremely delayed, Amarus tuned back into the conversation. It seemed that sometime around the point the ghoul she didn't recognize had wandered over, she'd completely fallen asleep. That happened, when she didn't have enough to do. Being a Lotus Eater made wakefulness difficult to maintain, frequently. Anyway, she turned to Mort and finally said, "Conquest. It was ... Mort, I set fire to the classroom and Invictus made me stay after class and some weasels bit me--" At first, Amarus was going to say it had been peachy, but suddenly the story spilled out. MOST of the story. She didn't mention the whole near-dissipation thing in which her and her friends almost ceased to exist. Probably forever.

No big deal.

She reached over probably rudely, leaning across Mort, and stared at the new ghoul. "I'm Amarus," she said. And then she leaned back, and stood up with her lasso. New victim, time.

Pathetically, she realized she had hooked the lasso around some branches or something, so when she tugged it to prepare her spin, it was actually hooked down. Woops.

Watching the ghoul rope her friend was amusing, but he needs to finish his lassoing as well. One down, two to go. He eyed the poor guy still trying to finish his knot and looked away wondering if there's any other target. Oh, but a not moving target is much easier to handle. Clyde twirled the lasso again before throwing it towards the boil still knotting his vine and talking.

Success! It lands on the boil! He was probably being a jerk for aiming at him, but what can one do? Clyde took the rope off the poor guy before apologizing and leaving to find his last and final target. Who will it be?

With a shake of his head, Mort finally got the knot to stay on and held up his new lasso like it was an ancient artifact of great power. "Finally!" he cried. "Six tries taking, but finally." While Zurine's painted picture of riding chaos was fresh in his mind, the zomboil was more than ready at this point to keep going - not to mention the last time he'd ridden something, it hadn't gone too terribly. Though by Horsemen standards, the twas probably nothing . . .

He frowned a bit at Amarus's recounting and, while she was quite awkwardly leaned over him (oh Jack her face was right there), he patted her shoulder as comfortingly as he could. "Is learning experience, like s'posed be," he told her. "Even if, er, fire is bad. But is past now, not so b-"

Whump! Someone's rope stopped him mid-sentence, and Mort turned to see a stranger of a student. "Nice! Am apparently hard target," he told the guy with a little smile.

When Amarus introduced herself Zurine didn't seem to notice or take note of anything that might be considered rude - but then Zurine rarely noticed such things unless they were quite blunt or meant to be cruel to a friend. Everything else pretty much got wrote off for one reason or another as a misunderstanding and so the staring was met with a cheery smile as Zurine introduced herself "Zurine" She told the other ghoul and when she turned away to try and rope someone..and roped a tree instead Zurine took the opportunity to throw her own rope at her. Silently cheering when she managed to do so

On top of hooking the lasso onto a discarded branch, Amarus was completely distracted, and very happy: Mort finished his knot! "Good job, Mort! A kiss and a lasso. On a roll, huh?" She didn't think about the discomfort of leaning over Mort; she had felt pretty comfortable around Mort since the day she met him, and she wasn't really good with physical space anyway. After all, she was a ghost. Maintaining a tangible form took effort.

Around the time that Mort got roped by a stranger, Zurine roped Amarus. It caught her off guard, and she turned. Amarus pulled Zurine's rope off of her, and with an indistinguishable look that was either a flash of competitiveness, irritation or absolute indifference, Amarus spun her lasso up and did the same to Zurine. "Good to meet you, then, Zurine." Her voice was relatively flat, just like her expression. Hopefully Zurine would learn that Amarus was generally like that, though. She kind of missed the Lotus blossoms of Conquest that had allowed her to feel real emotions for once.

"If on a roll means take six tries getting right," Mort replied with a self-depreciating grin. It wasn't exactly better that Amarus wasn't known for displaying emotion, but her cool attitude certainly helped while in this awkward position. nonetheless, he wriggled out a bit until he could get himself to stand upright and spun his lasso about experimentally a few times. Okay, he had a few examples to go off of, but who to go for . . .

Well the ghouls had certainly entangled themselves, but they were closest. Several spins and a toss later, Mort managed to rope Zurine with an elated sound. "Is not so hard, after watching experts," he complimented them as he unhooked the vines around the pad foot.

"Apparently I have really good luck," Clyde replied, pulling back a bit while scanning for his target. "Let's hope I don't jinx that luck"

He stared at the ghoul beside the boil before pulling back a bit and attempting to lasso her. Clyde was starting to wonder if it was a bad choice because of that strange look she had in her eyes when his first captor (he still doesn't know her name) caught her.

Sadly, it seems he did jinx himself. The lasso ends up landing just beside the ghoul. He pulls it back as quickly as possible before looking for another person to lasso.

Entering

When it came time to leave the clan of Conquest, Mei had to admit, that she was a little sad to go. It was probably the most relaxing place she had been to, aside from the last class and that one area she dare not speak of. If anything, this place made her nervous more than anything. The classes would likely be more hands on, and require weapons and other things, in which Mei was horrible with.

Following the rest of the class into the clearing early morning, she immediately spotted two ghouls ahead--identical ghouls. Twins perhaps? Blinking, a little surprised to see that one of the ghoul's were in more..casual wear of Halloween Town nature, rather than the typical horsemen clan attire. When the two had finally taken notice of the group of students arriving, Mei couldn't help but smile at the difference between the two in attitude. It was almost comical the way the ghouls went on at each other, easily ruffling each others feathers.

It wasn't long after that the two had requested each of the students names, so that they could be sure their supplies would not run short among them. Waiting for when it came her turn, the doll spoke out, just loud enough for them to hear. "Mei-Xiu."

When discovering that they were to learn to ride a horse, Mei froze. This was worse than training with weapons--which would also be happening in later classes--she was no good with animals! Her own minipets she could barely tolerate them at times! How the hell was she supposed to manage a horse? Hopefully, it was not as much a nightmare that played out in her head, and it would be a lot more easier, and possibly fun.

For now, they were to learn to lasso. At least, that's what it looked like, when the one ghoul lassoed her sister. So they were to lasso each other instead? Okay, she could do this.

Taking up her own piece of rope, she began to work on getting it ready, only to knot the damn thing. Looking at it, she thought over how the horsemen ghoul had done it, and attempted to try again.

Fallow was... bubbly.

That was never a good sign.

Bubbly usually meant that something was going to horribly wrong within the wake of his tune-whistling, bright and wild eyed prance. The Púca listened long enough to get the gist of what they were doing, only to become severely derailed from his exuberant attentiveness by the mount that the first girl summoned. The brilliant red stallion made his ears fold forward into attention like an over-eager dog, and when one of the sisters demonstrated the object of their lesson today - lassoing - well... how could things get any better?

But first - ah - he had to make the lasso. Hnn. "Hmm. Okay, okay." Fallow stared dubiously down at the rope in his hands. "How hard could it be." He muttered with a shrug, casting glances at the other students and wishing for his rabbit to appear. Oh well. For now he didn't have to focus on... trying to lasso them. Just. Making the thing that would. The Púca frowned and shrugged, beginning another cheerful humming as he set his fingers to work.

He had to start somewhere, after all.

Zurine laughed slightly as the other ghoul turned around and promptly roped her in return - though she yipped in surprise when Mort got her as well, not expecting to be the target of two ropes at the same time. "Good to meet you too" She told the other ghoul once she'd recovered and helped to untangle herself from their ropes - something she considered a success on her part since she didn't fall on her face while doing so. "Looks like your better at throwing then knotting Mort" She told him with a grin. "Makes sense - I bet there's some type of science behind the whole spinning and angle of throw and whatnot"
