Angenora jumped onto the kraken, biting down hard into the tentacle. She hoped to draw a bit of blood, but nothing except for hearing it scream from a critical hit.

Petro had not expected a Kraken to attack their sandcastle. But in hindsight, he probably should have. Well maybe not a Kraken exactly but after the crabs, he shouldn't have let his guard down. When his teammates dealt with the assault, the tikbalang joined in soon after, letting his heel slam kick at a tentacle that strayed too near.

The tentacles seemed to be able to read Petro's patterns because this one managed to get past him and do a fair amount of damage.

Petro's efforts to fend off the attack would have been something to be proud of. Except the Kraken didn't look like it was going to give up any time soon.

Brown eyes widened when he saw one of the attacks cause sizable damage on their castle. And, angrily, the horse boil leapt on a tentacle in an attempt to wrangle it into submission.

NOOOOOOOO!!!
It had survived a monster crab, rising tides, and for an all too brief moment, Sheridan thought the castle would survive the kraken. Alas it was not to be, a mixture of anger, shock, and horror in his eyes as he watched the tentacled monster finish off their castle in one final sweep.
There was nothing left but a pile of sand, scatter feathers, and the remains of one very small hermit crab. It was as if the monster had been toying with them all along, taunting them.
The dragon snorted, his tail flicking side to side as he kicked at the pile of sand in frustration. Stupid kraken!
"Who wants fried squid for dinner?"
Oh you are so lucky I can't use my fire, you would be toast!

Petro clucked his tongue in disappointment, "'M not much of a leader, couldn't even beat a squid." he apologized. "Next time though, we'll show 'em what Team Stakespear's got, yeah?" he grinned, clapping his teammates a hard on the back. Unintentionally too hard, but the monster horse hoped they didn't mind. "But 's only the FIRST trial, yeah? Still got more to go!" he encouraged. Somehow, fighting against fellow Halloween creatures and losing to them didn't sting as much as, say, losing to those Hunters. At least there was no jacking fog.
