Has Shine not cared for Rain so much, she might have just stomped right back to her dorm and the safety of her blanket fort. But she couldn't stand the thought of missing out on what would surely be an important event for her ghoulfriend. She knew that she was strong, and that she would be so good at these trials - the traits that seemed so valued for this competition were just what she would consider some of her strongest attributes. And she'd been brave enough to enter in the first place, when Shine had only hidden so hard that she tried to disappear!

So she improvised. After rummaging through her closet for a while, she put together a suitable bright-light-avoiding outfit and slipped through the portal again, still clinging to the little poster. This time, however, her head was covered with a floppy, faded sun hat, her eyes hidden behind cats-eye sunglasses. She'd tied a mildewed silk scarf around her neck, still home to some tiny hungry moths that flew away in a huff when they emerged into the sunlight. One of her usual long-sleeved sweaters was pulled over what appeared to be a threadbare linen dress that went to her knees, shorts and long, pale pink stockings visible underneath.

Much better.

It would probably be kind of hard to recognize her through all of the weird clothes, but if she held this and cheered really loud...maybe Rain would still hear it and know that she was there! Head bowed to better shield herself from the sun, she moved towards the edge of the spectators, trying not to worry over her strange surroundings.

Shenny hesitated for a moment. If she only knew who would be the best team to cheer for here... But at the moment, Cady appears to be right. Well, of course, she's not going to cheer like crazy for everyone, but she could watch the show, estimate participants, and pick her favourites. Or at least those, who deserve to be cheered. It would actually help, if she had even a little clue of what's going on, and what participants are supposed to do. In her imagination, Shenny thought that trials should be something hardcore, but, Hecate, sandcastles!

"Sounds like you're right, Cady!" Shenny replied. "Let's see how it turns out."

Biskoto leaned into the pets, uncoiling herself from the reaper as she laid out on the sand, burying into it by wriggling her body, "It isssss very lovely, darling." She laid her head near the ghoul's toes, her long body forming a 'ring' around the two, partially buried in the warm sand as she looked up at Amphi, "Doesss thisss place remind you of home?"

She could actually smell the ocean from where she was!

Thana again. 8|

"I have nothing against the heat, but I do prefer... Cooler temperatures," He replied, grabbing one of the drinks that he had bought before offering another one to Amphi, raising an eyebrow at her, "Most people get thirstier faster when it's hot out... Is it different under the water? Besides, I'm not sure if they'll allow us into the ocean."

Amphi smiled as Biskoto uncurled herself from Thana and making a bed out of the sand around their sitting area. She waited for the snake's head to pop back out before continuing to reach over for pets. For some reason, she enjoyed touching Biskoto. It was comforting in a way as she cocked her head at the snake. Wistfully, she looked to the sea and her smile seem to take to sadness.

"It does very much so." She quieted thoughtfully as she thought of the small island where her sisters and her called their home. It was much like this, small and secluded. Foliage was more abundant and the shade was easy to find but other then that....the sea smells hit her nose like home sweet home and had her yearning for the touch of salty water on her legs. Her aquarium back in the dorms could only do so much with its artificial lighting and small small small resemblance of the sea. "But I have to stop thinking as the sea as my home and Amityville is for now, right?" She chuckled as she looked over to Thana now instead.

A small giggle escaped at his temperment of the heat before taking the drink. "Maybe you should wear less. It seems that there are a lot of the boils wandering with less then you." She tugged at his shirt before flushing. "I mean-You don't have to strip down...I mean you don't have to undress...I mean oh..." She ducked her head in her knee's curling up into a ball. Unpopping the seal on the drink, she turned her head to take a small drink to steady herself before looking back at him.

"I meant that perhaps it would be favorable if you were to remove anything that seems to be causing you to heat up more." She said that all with a straight (red) face. "I don't know, I guess I am so use to it. Its not like...the dry heat of Amityville where fresh water does nothing to cool me....and that's too bad...." She stretched now, letting her legs in front of her before leaning on her arms. Her phone buzzed with the sound of a returned text before she grinned. Looking out towards the teams, she tried to spot her Dream Baku friend. Was that her there waving? All she could see was a figure and some hand motion.

She rose her hand to wave back, not sure if that was Xiu as well.

Heeeeeeeeey. Lou liked where this was going. Long walk on the beach? Wasn't that a popular catch line for ghouls? "Baby, I love me some long walks on the beach." The boil finally stood and dusted himself off, returning the sunglasses to their rightful place before his eyes melted out of his skull. Would be a shame as much as he relied on the suckers.

Obviously the vampire had no shame. The second his feet regained their weight, his free arm wrapped around the ghoul's shoulders. "My dear, I will take you on the walk of your life, and by walk, I mean harass you mercilessly with aesthetic based compliments and lewd jokes, because that's the kind of guy I am." Chicks liked honesty, right?

Once he finally pulled his creepy eyes away from his new 'catch', he managed to spot one of the castle builders off in the distance. Was that? Oh s**t, it was. Haha! It was like destiny was a cruel b***h who wanted to see all the women suffer.

"Hold on a sec, sugar tits." He mumbled to the tan ghoul next to him, pulling his arm away and resting the umbrella on his shoulders to cup his hands into an amplifier.

"XIU! HEY XIU! REMEMBER ME? IT'S THE GUY YOU'RE HOT FOR, LOU! I SEE YOU DOWN THERE, LOOKIN' ALL FINE! TAKE IT OFF GHOUL! GIVE US A SHOW!"

Yes... He had indeed just screamed that. One of the few ghouls he actually remembered the name of. She was a 'project' after all. "Kay, I'm ready."

"This demon lady was nice indeed", Shenny thought. "And her tail is so cute".

Funny enough, in every crowd, in every group, Shenny would always sympathize a demon, and obviously she will prefer demons to reapers, it felt so natural for her.

"Agree", she smiled softly. "My skin feels burning. I am Shenny, by the way".
