Someone bumped against her, adding a chill and another voice to the cache of confusion. She jumped with a start, eyes wide, clutching her hands into fists to avoid clawing anyone. This didn't prevent punching, of course, but it was no secret that she was generally not very smart about this stuff. "Wh...what? Who's um...what's okay? Is all of this...all safe? Will it uh...be okay, I mean? Do you...think?" Maybe the strange question-asker would be able to enlighten her. She glanced frantically around at several nearby students before settling on an undead boil, who seemed like he was expecting an answer. He got the slightest twitch of a smile before she stepped towards him...then quickly stepped back again. "Wow...you're... cool," she marveled, blinking owlishly as she tried to figure him out.

A series of light thumps interrupted most of the conversation as a single figure walked up on stage. They looked actually rather familiar to many students: in fact if the students didn't know any better, they might have thus concluded that this 'Professor QB' was actually their school secretary, Arel.
It wasn't until something hopped from the secretary's shoulder onto the podium that a couple of the students sighed in what might have been relief: there were a few students that still remembered the bathroom detention incident involving a certain secretary last year. It was only a foot in height at the most and looked very much either like a certain student's familiar or like a much beloved minipet.
<Thank you for attending my guest lecture.> The professor's voice was telepathic, projecting loudly and clearly in a rather childish, high-pitched tone, to all in the gymnasium. < In a moment we will go on a field trip to the human world, but please make sure that you listen to all my instructions and be careful! This place is safe and has already been approved by the Bogeymen for field trips, but it never hurts to be too careful. Everyone please follow me. >
Arel, reduced to pet carrier sighed and held his arm out, letting the Professor clamber back onto his shoulder before muttering something about how students should follow closely to prevent being left behind and something else about not being paid, unfairness of his exercise of rights, so on so forth.
Apparently Breck's old shed had been remodeled to a strange sort of Halloween gateway tree, not unlike the last one that lead them straight from the Weeping Woods towards the Haunted House. The actual portal was considerably smaller in size, and really, for all intents and purposes, simply a black hole on the ground. Arel stopped right in front of it, though the 'Professor' leaned over and simply jumped right in. Several students stared at the secretary, who simply scowled. "Well, get going now."
Upon literally falling down the portal into what was most likely 'The Human World', students would notice first and foremost that they were inside a large velvet tent. A single, table was in the center of the tent, decorated with a scattering of worn Tarot cards and a crystal globe. There was no other occupant on the table other than the acclaimed professor still in what had to be their natural form. They waited until all the students had assembled in the rather generous tent space. The tent seemed to be joined at one end to somewhere else, though the drapes blocked the entrance.
<Welcome to my fundamentals of Fear guest lecture. As promised, I am here to teach you exactly what Fear is and where it comes from. Now, can any of you chance a guess to exactly what you think Fear is? >
Now that the students had adjusted to their settings, they could hear strange noises outside, what seemed like shrieking, yelling, clanging and ringing all blended together at once. For the most part, it was rather distracting. OOC: Arrival Students are free to venture a guess at the Professor's question, or take a look around the settings/ talk and speculate amongst each other ! - If you have not made a post yet, you can still arrive in "late" to follow the rest of the students into the portal/ into the tent

Shun recognized that creature. It was the one he had run into the other day with Hel. Furrowing his brow, he still wasn't completely certain how much this thing new, but he supposed he would be finding out soon enough. At least now he knew its name... which it had neglected to give during their prior meeting.
Moving along, he paused at the sight of the remodeled shed. How long had that been like that? He cast a glance towards the wolf girl with him before suddenly finding himself falling into a black pit... and into a tent.
Disoriented from the sudden shift, he took a moment to look around. It was an odd place from what he could see so far. He thought about QB's question, but soon heard a number of shrieks out side. What in the name of jack was going on out there?
"It's everything that we are, is it not?" he answered slowly, while trying to see if there was some way to see out the tent. It sounded like there was quite a bit of chaos going on.

As much as Jericho would have liked to hide away in his room for a little longer, the things he heard regarding the class just kept nagging him. And thus, he ventured back out to see what it was all about. Besides, if it was some elaborate trap by the Hunters, it would be good to be able to try and fight them off. He lingered towards the back of the group in the meantime, not wanting to draw too much attention to himself.
At least Arel was here too. If something went wrong, the secretary could help.
He let out a cry as he went through the portal, taking a defensive stance as he realized the area had shifted. Not only that, but he could hear screams and sounds of distress from the outside. It did not make his wariness ease up at all. It was enough that he was too distracted to have really comprehended the professor's question.
The dragon looked like he was going to bolt at any given moment. Or perhaps set something(s) on fire.

Mitsu had been surprised by the voice vibrating in her mind, her eyes going wide at the mini pet sitting at the podium. It was so cute! *A* In between wondering if the little mini would get along with Ziggy Mitsu actually started listening, which was hard to avoid since the voice spoke so clearly.
With their instruction Mitsu followed her reaper closely, moving along with the other students behind their Professor and Professor transporter. When they stopped at the old shed she was curious on how they were all going to fit looking to Arel curiously before he told them to go on. Shun had already stepped inside and Mitsu was quick to follow only to be greeted with the sensation of falling. Hadn't she read a story about this once? Where a ghoul fell down a rabbit hole.
When her surroundings finally gained clarity once more (and the motion sickness faded) she stared almost fascinated by the velvet tent, her ears perking high on her head taking in the noises outside. It sounded like a riot. Her hand reached for Shun's but she tried to direct her attention back to Professor QB as they asked a question.
"Uhh..F-Fear is a negative sensation induced by a perceived threat. Its a survive mechanism-" Her head turned toward the tent wall again suddenly too distracted by the noise outside to finish her answer.

Titus was...completely confused when he saw Arel with the small mini. Hadn't the flyer said QB? He was pretty sure the secretary didn't have a Q or a B in his name. The demon was about to pull out the flyer again to double check when the voice broke through the silence entering his mind.
So wait....the small cat like thing was QB? Their professor...was a cat? Titus would have been out at that very moment if the idea of going to his other class didn't disagree with him so. Instead he stuck around listening to the little creature as it explain their upcoming adventure to the human world. With a shrug Titus followed along with the masses, stopping, almost skeptically in front of the old shed.
"Really? This run down heap is supposed to-" He had stepped in and was cut off as he began to fall. He might have let out a screech, who knew, but finally he was in the tent and it was there he quickly righted himself. Yeah, nothing ever happened, he was cool. This happened all the time.
Having never been in the human world before Titus listened intently to the noises outside, venturing about the tent. The question asked went unanswered. He was no egg head.

As Arel wandered onto the stage, Zar narrowed his eyes suspiciously, why was it always whenever the subject of these "false reapers" as he'd heard them called, came up the secretary appeared? He almost walked out. Almost. But he was a curious creature, wether it was good for him or not, so he stayed, and became even more curious as this professor showed himself. Zar was still getting used to natural forms which weren't demonic in nature, so was somewhat taken aback by the teacher's small stature.
And then there was the subject of a trip to the human world, and he found he very well couldn't walk out now, there were too many questions he'd asked himself and not enough answers from other people reguarding what the human world was actually like. So he stayed and followed the group to the gateway, hesitating for just a few moments before hopping in aswell. He'd come to amity to learn and he damn well intended to, especially when this class seemed to be run by a teacher one he'd not seen thusfar implicated in conspiracy, short of a brief discussion he'd spotted on a certain messageboard.
He had a good look around the tent before turning his attention to the teacher, or trying to anyway, the noise was almost unbearable outside, he had no idea what its source was, he just did his best to drone it out.
He was about to venture that he though it was everything when Shun beat him to it, simply nodding his head in agreement with the reaper's comment.

Eyebrows raised, Jack watched as the other student jumped and reflected his reactions well on his face, his own head flinching every so often when something caught his fancy, glowing eyes following the sounds. Snorting softly, he shook his head, giving a little shrug as the other murmured to himself, wishing he had all the answers in the world also.
“Seems like everyone is going with what every other ghoul or boil say, it seems too much like a mixing pot for rumours now. . .” he mentioned to the boil, before looking at the page in his hand. “This would be a first for me also, unlike train rides, which I hope to never cross paths with again. But maybe we‘ll find out if we stick around, hm?” He finished, before grabbing the other boil’s outreached hand, giving a little bow/nod combination, with the space allowed for him, the whining aggressing in his voice as the posh little kitten whined once again due to the inertia of the drop.
“They call me Jack-B-Nimble, a pleasure meeting your acquaintances, Sparrow. . . And this would be Seiben, on my shoulders, a whiny little kitty who complains about movement but requests the highest of perches.” He answered, receiving an even longer whine, before looking forward again, at the sudden movement before then, eyes lidding a little.
“Well, to be honest. . .” was all he could get out before the one known as Arel came forth, which made the kitking curious even more, dropping the conversation quickly as the mental assault came. He was not one for telepathy, it felt . . Itchy . . . But he accepted it, and listened, ears perked, even if there was no voice to follow. Turning to his new acquaintance with humoured eyes, tail shuffling happily behind him.
“Shall we?” is all he asked, as he attempted to get them both through the portal, interest and curiousity elating Jack - he hadn’t been on a school trip in ages. Hopefully this one will not get him killed, also.

"Seems like it's going to take quite a bit of time to decipher just what's true, and what's something that a student has taken and twisted, whether intentionally or unintentionally," agreed Sparrow with a dry smile, his lips quirking upwards. He didn't quite understand the "train rides" comment, but assumed it had been something that had occurred before he'd entered the school.
There was a plaintive meow from the cat on the boil - Jack's - shoulder - and Sparrow felt himself smile again as he shook his hand. "A pleasure, Jack - and Seiben," he added, with some amusement, peering at the kitten, who was clearly disgruntled at the treatment he was getting. Frowning a bit, Sparrow rubbed the back of his neck with one gloved hand. He glanced over at Jack, waiting for his answer, but it seemed he wasn't about to get one - at least, not from the boil, since he was interrupted by the arrival of one familiar tiny secretary -
- and one not as familiar voice in his head. The only person Sparrow had ever heard communicate telepathically was Riley, and this was most definitely not Riley. He followed Jack along behind Arel and their new...professor...familiar...thing...until they reached the large tree and the portal, at which Sparrow eyed somewhat suspiciously.
"After you," he said grandly, with a wave of his hand, and stepped into the portal after his new companion, off into the human world.
Which was...not quite what he had expected. Sparrow frowned a bit, idly tugging at the finger of one of his gloves in an almost absent mannered way as he glanced around their new settings.
"FEAR is what we're all made of," said Sparrow, though he was distracted by the enormous cacophony of noises coming from all around outside.

All that high and mighty talk, that 'oh yea can't be that bad whatever whatever' came to a SCREECHING HALT, almost LITERALLY when the 'professor' would reveal himself to the student body. Bul had actually gone to the auditorium (which somehow magically happened in the line of events here at Amityville) and when he'd been standing in the hall doors, the professor had began speaking.
Bul's spines flared up on end and he hissed like a vampire exposed to light. A /real/ vampire. His tail flicked angrily behind him and he ducked back behind the doors. The ******** was that thing doing there? It looked an awful lot like the creature at the Haunted House. Bul did NOT like this. Not one bit.
And yet... the half beast had no other choice now as he was ushered in from other students rushing to hear about the new, guest class. He stumbled into the room, and scattered in a frightened lizard fashion to the nearest dark corner.
It was also by accident that he was pushed by the same crowd of students into the dark abyssal portal and landed in a tent in what he presumed to be the human world. Bul's heart was racing, nothing he could say or do would fix this problem, the portal seemed to be somewhere out of reach above him. Quietly he simmered back and let this nightmare take its course. If anything he could maybe smack the professor with his tail when Arel wasn't looking.

Roch barely got there in time to join the others going through the portal. He stood near the back, shoving his hands in his pockets and listening to the little guy from earlier talk.
Sooo yeah, he had sort of seen it coming, he admitted. The same creepy little guy that had put people in skirts was now a teacher. Ohhhkay. Well, hell, at least he was willing to tell them things! He did raise a hand, briefly, before lowering it again.
He really doubted they wanted to know about the sparklingness and skirt-edness that could be coming up soon. But... well, at least the hair on his legs was blonde, so it wouldn't look THAT bad.
Okay, that time spent as a chick had messed with his head, too. He admitted it.

The human world? That sounded...promising. An adventure to be sure. Yin nodded and then suddenly there was a commotion on near the stage and he turned to give it his full attention. A creature was there, and it appeared to be talking, explaining the course.
There was absolutely no mention of reading or writing.
They traipsed as a class to portal, Yin held back in order to keep pace with the zomboil, though he was antsy with curiosity and was practically bouncing up and down to get a better look. Until he saw the portal. He did not want that costume. Not again. Not with others around. Mortified he waited his turn, grimacing slightly and then falling through the portal...and thankfully not feeling a breeze. He glanced down and breathed a sigh of relief, waiting for Alexander and then moving over a bit to one side as they waited for new instructions.
What was fear? It was somewhat hard to concentrate with the noises assaulting them from outside. "Do those noises sound familiar to you?" he whispered to the zomboil at his side, standing rather close to him as there was a decent crowd in the tent.

Lizzy was here, really. And she followed the rest in. Really. She was interested in learning more; besides, this 'Professor QB', while suspicious, seemed to be credible as well... And there was only one real way of finding out.
Thanatos felt the same way, only not really.
This post would suck less when I'm less sick. Promise.

Oh, they were going to be going to the human world now? Alex was insanely curious, but a little uneasy as well. This was really an experience he would probably not be able to experience again for a long time (or so he told himself) and while it was exciting, it was also a trip into the unknown and possibly dangerous, though they were assured by the speaker that it was boogeyman approved and everything would be fine.
And so he followed along with the crowd to the portal, looking at with eyes narrowed and a thoughtful look on his face as they slowly approached. He watched Yin go in first and then followed shortly afterwards...
Only to find himself suddenly standing somewhere completely different. That had been..weird, to say the least. He felt slightly disoriented, and while making his way towards Yin stumbled a little, and had to catch himself by grabbing on to the other boils upper arm. Obviously Yin was more used to portal jumping then Alex was, what with all of his legal document class exploits.
So this..was the human world? They appeared to just be inside a giant purple tent. Alex forced himself to stop looking around and to listen to what the professor was asking, though he already heard several of the responses he might have given himself, so kept his mouth shut for now. While he had removed his hand from Yin's arm, he did lean into the other boil a little bit for support, as his head was still swimming a tiny bit. The noises coming from outside were not helping, assaulting Alex's ears with their clamor. He only heard Yin because the other boil was already so close.
"No, I don't..think so." He replied also whispering, eyes darting to the side of the tent as though he might be able to see through them and beyond.

Vaith was a little late to jump down the portal. He was one of the population, not particularly disturbed that their professor was a talking animal. He figured, some minipet had to have an intelligence ranking them or higher.
The hole.
?__?
The hole was a little unsettling though. He might have landed painfully on his back. He felt a little like he stepped into a toilet, as it left a "whoosh" feeling. His noise wings didn't do anything to help him pad the fall.
