"Oh, now that is the spirit, little thing," Clerise crooned at Sasha, patting her on the shoulder. The redheaded hunter eyed Sasha's hair with envy-- her own refused to grow past her mid shoulder, if THAT. Lazily, she eyed Rep and the black haired gal she recognized from Twitter as Rin, snickering a bit. She bit down the urge to tell 'em to get a room. "So, Sasha," she murmured, trying not to raise much of a ruckus, genuinely curious, "what's your weapon like?" Just past Sasha, Clerise's eyes zeroed in on the woman giving the intermediates orders-- they were an unruly bunch, all of them, so to congregate so nicely-- it was SOME assistant or leader. She had no earthly idea, really. She flicked her eyes back to the other Life trainee, giving her a wolfish grin.

Candace blinked, returning the wave to the strange redhead who was waving to her. Who was..? Life, lady..oh! Ohohoh! This was that Clerise chick, right? How delightful! At that realization her wave became more enthused and friendly, grinning now. She adorable little lady who sidled up beside her also got her attention. Sopretty. Candace's eyes were wide as she stared at her. She was.. very lovely. She hadn't seen a trainee that pretty in a long while. What's the matter? She's just a pretty little girl. You're a...how have you put it? A smoking hot vixen? Candace's cheeks flushed as she frowned. The girl looked cute, pretty, timid...suddenly she was glad Jerry bailed on this mission. She cleared her throat and forced herself to look away, opening the folder again to use that as a distraction. She was glad that girl was Life, not Sun. ...He's not yours right now. And you always said you didn't deserve him. Candace pouted. Doesn't mean I don't want him. Fair enough, greedy girl. Damn right she was. Aria interrupted her thoughts with a quiet command and Candace closed the folder again with a soft "yes, ma'am" as she walked over to the table with the signup sheet. Candace paused a moment and stared at the list. Death was empty oh shiiiiit. "Uhh.." Hm. How were they going to do this? Was Candace going to have to give up a couple Mists? "Here, ma'am." Candace held the list out for Aria to take, still looking quite worried over the lack of Death trainees. Poor Gale, poor Madison. Were there really no new Deaths? "Ladies, ladies." Robert had finally pulled away from the chat the intermediates were having, and snuck up on Clerise, who was getting to know the new Life trainee rather well. Any girl that Clerise got to know well had potential, Robert had decided, after seeing her up in Clarice's room. That girl was all right in his book. She was going to make good things happen. Good things. He put his arm loosely around Clerise, and the other around Sasha. The touch was light, and he made sure not to touch their boobs, because he learned long ago that women didn't like it when you accidentally brushed up on their boobs. They thought it was offensive or some s**t, even when it was an accident. It was never an accident. So he was careful, even as he leaned in and gave Sasha his most charming, toothy smile. "Haven't had the pleasure of meeting you, sweetheart. I'm Robert, your boss for this evening." God he loved this job. "What's your name, and has Clerise already told you our Division's policy on sleeping with your door unlocked?"

Nona instantly began making happy noises the moment that she was mentioned, and Sasha smiled brightly at Clerise. A happy Nona was a happy Sasha mostly because Nona didn't screech when she was happy. Nona was a volatile presence in Sasha's mind unless Sasha kept her placated. Nona seemed to enjoy being talked about and she certainly seemed to enjoy the rather gigantic man who approached. Nona enjoyed that a lot. Sasha had never seen such a man. "Ahh," Sasha cleared her throat, eyes growing large again - even larger, if possible - as she peered up, up, up until she could see Robert's eyes. Her boss, huh? Sasha liked bosses. No, Sasha loved bosses because they usually gave her something to do. emotion_kirakira "I-I'm sorry," she stuttered, biting her lower lip as she suddenly remembered that both Robert and Clerise had asked her a question. "I'm Sasha, and Nona is ah.. hooks. Like, um.. meathooks. Big shiny ones." < Tell him I am beautiful.> Oh my God, Nona, not now.< Tell him.> "She's really pretty," Sasha added, fussing with a chunk of hair. "And ... uh, sleeping with our doors unlocked?" The trainee peered at Clerise. "For what?" Maybe it was in case there was a fire. It would make sense if that was the case.

There was a bundle of fur that barely reached past 5"7 standing quietly nearby. Before was nervous and worried and uncomfortable in all this baby-seal skin but it was the friggin' North Pole and it was going to be ******** cold at its best and frost-bite-your-extremities-off at worst so he wasn't going to go unprepared. He had opted not to introduce himself to the Lifers present, mostly because Clerise already knew him (even called him by a nickname of her own, he's not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing) and Robert hadn't given him the warmest of receptions during the briefing.
Besides, he wasn't a REAL Lifer. Just a Misty who was being a wannabee-Lifer. Except Robert suddenly mentioned sleeping with doors unlocked and Before didn't think that was smart or safe. Plus. Privacy was totes important! "U-um, don't really think there's a policy like that being implemented..." he squeaked.

Rep continued to right out snub Rin, she deserved a guilt trip he figured for pretending not to know him. She should outright be honoured to have made his aquaintence. Besides, Rep really was dog tired from lack of sleep the previous night and feigning a strop just made it easier to not have to actually do any posturing. He found himself instead just watching the rest of the room intently, there really were a LOT of women he noticed, and was torn between being glad of this since most of them were smoking hot, or depressed because he was going to have to run missions with them, with some of them even seeming to think absurdly they were his superiors.
His attention was drawn to the other discussions in the room though, he couldn't help it, he was nosey as all hell and liked to know what exactly was going on. He spotted Clerise draped near another women he'd never seen, presumably in the same division as the unusual redhead. From what he could see, the dark haired girl seemed a great deal more timid, so at the very ******** least there was that, she wasn't going to ******** try and claw his eyes out or get hormonal at him if he commented at her.
And then he spotted Robert and his heart sank juuust a little. So there WERE manly guys on the island it seemed, and guys who appeared, like a lot of his friends back home, to be much more gifted in the height and width department than he was. It was both a relief and a disaster. A relief because he wasn't necissarily alone anymore and a disaster because he was TOUCHING THE WOMEN and they didn't even look all that ******** bothered by it. Rep didn't even notice how irritated he looked at the suave mannerisms of the guy, somewhat jealous as he bitterly thought to himself. "He has ******** coloured hair, who has coloured hair who isn't a goth or some s**t"
He didn't approve of Tracey's smug reply that Whose side was that ******** angel even on sometimes he wondered.

"Fine, whatever, ignore me. It's no skin off my nose." She almost added a 'willy' in there but thought better of it.
Instead, she laughed rather boisterously to herself before fishing out a small booklet and starting to read quietly to herself while she waited for the show to begin.

" Robert, don't be a creep," Jordan said from where he was standing against the wall, hood pulled up. He, too, wore layers against the cold; it was too warm while he was still here, but that wouldn't last. Ferros had been grumbling softly in his mind about cold all morning; he ignored the weapon with practiced ease. "Don't say anything Petra would smack you for, bro." He grinned. There were two Sun lambs here; he frowned and scanned the classroom. Where was Ofelia? Or had the external mission she'd joined him and Marcus on disqualified her for this? That would be a pity. He suspected they'd be seeing creatures today. He hadn't failed to notice Rep sitting there like a pillar of stupidity. He supposed it made sense for the guy to have been placed in Sun; still, that didn't mean he had to be pleased about it.

Okay, so he'd gotten the text, but he was a little late anyways. He dashed into the room with a heavy coat on under his mist coat and a small bag with a little extra warm clothing in case he needed it. He'd stared for a long time at the text he'd received telling him to dress warmly, and he decided that he'd rather be safe than sorry. Even Shang hadn't said anything about him taking extra precautions.
He scrawled his name on the list, biting his lip nervously. Sit down and shut up? He could do that. He'd even stay quiet if they yelled at him for being late. Really.
< Calm down. You're going to be fine. >
Fine?! He was late!
He flopped into a chair and fingered the edge of the coat.

Rep gave Rin a sidelong look once he had a feeling she was distracted from his peripheral vision. What the hell was she reading books for he thought to himself incredulously, whatever, they might need something to burn later once they got through the weaker hunters if they got stranded. "******** geeks seriously."
He did spot Jordan at least, even despite all the unfamiliar clothing, watching him interact with the big guy. Rep wasn't too bright in most respects but at least he was intelligent enough to know the value of finding out who was friends with who. If you knew who people got along with, you'd know how to piss them off later when you insulted them.

Marcus wasn't sure if he was amazed, or, if he was terrified. Since when the hell was moon popular? He recognized some of the new trainees, Saya, Michael, Ami. The one Rin he'd seen on the messages and the other he didn't know at all. But just- I didn't really hit him that there were so many. It always seemed like moon was sparse and scattered. The idea of getting more though was nice. He was surprised by also the lack of fresh trainees he knew on the island. He doubted they had missed the memo, so, perhaps they had slept in? God knew he'd almost had that happen.
Even if it made him nervous about the mission. He did frown at the fact that none of them had shown for the mission information and aside from dressing warmly- yeah, this was going to be interesting. One of the trainees he noticed wasn't in the most protective gear. And she was also-. "Saya, will you be warm enough?" He smiled, the goggles on his head sliding down slightly. He was warm to the point of being uncomfortable. Soon they'd be in the north pole but until then- this was going to be a pain. A look at Michael was telling Marcus 'Nope, I'm not going to be warm enough.' He sighed a pulled the extra jacket free from where he'd tied it around his gear bag. With non gloved fingers it was easy. With fingers in two sets of gloves? ******** annoying. "Michael." He offered the other trainee the extra coat. It wasn't the warmest thing, but it was still something.
He knew he probably shouldn't even be offering the coat but- yeah he wasn't able to stomach the idea of knowingly letting them suffer out of spite. He'd made a gamble to bring the jacket, and hopefully, no body would end up with frozen limbs. "I don't want either of you freezing on me."

Robert could have killed Before if they weren't in a room of trainees. The man slowly untangled himself from the comfortable position he'd been in, and straightened up to loom down on Before with a look of utter disappointment. "Worst. Assistant. Ever." But as soon as Jordan shut him down, the anger that was rolling off him choked off and died, as he grinned sheepishly at his boss. "Aw, you know I'm just having fun with my girls, boss. Ain't nobody taking me too seriously, are you girls?" Once again, he counted on Clerise to be the bro he felt she had a real chance of being - by letting Jordan know that she took Robert about as seriously as a clown on Christmas. A clown on Christmas, folks.

Before Aria could accept the list from Candace, a trainee wearing a Mist coat of all things dashed in and snatched it from her to hurriedly add his name to the list. Feng Wu; she made a note of that name. And his coat. A muscle in her jaw tightened then relaxed as she examined the list, considering. "It appears that I have miscalculated," she stated quietly, "Rather than dismissing the unneeded squads outright, I believe I will do a bit of rearranging."
She considered the list before putting it down, eying the assembled trainees. They were still talking to one another, weren't they? A few of them looked capable; others did not. Aria fought down the surge of panic that began to rise in her. What if they ignored her? Defied her? Why couldn't she be more intimidating like Caelius or H or --
her weapon growled, cutting across her thoughts.
It was a tempting suggestion. Her weapon snickered at her reply, settling down as Aria prepared herself. "It is good to see that some of you have arrived," she began. "Welcome to Deus Ex. You are now training to become Hunters. Not all of you will survive the training. It is advisable to increase your chances by learning to work with each other, as you will receive no second chances. For this mission you will be under the direct supervision of the more experienced trainees. Some of you will be paired to work with them one-on-one, others will gain experience working in small squads."
Aria fell silent, considering them. "Before I explain the mission, does anyone have any questions?"

As soon as Aria started to speak, Molly straightened herself in her desk and clasped her hands together, listening to her division leader intently. She couldn’t help but uh…feel a bit embarrassed for the Mist trainee that came in late. Oh dear…that didn’t reflect well on them at all!
Molly felt the need to be extra good now.
The young woman continued to listen intently, and at the end of the small speech gave a small shake of her head. Nope, everything was good and straight forward thus far. Right now, Molly was wondering what the arrangement was going to look like…

Yes, Sasha was taking Robert entirely too seriously, despite Before's interjection. Thankfully Aria stepped up to take control of the group of hunters, and from then on out Sasha was all ears. Aria was obviously the boss of the bosses. emotion_kirakira emotion_kirakira emotion_kirakira Fortunately Sasha had no questions. She had always been able to follow orders come Hell or high water, and this little quirk of hers wasn't going to be squelched, not now. < Oh, my little bird grows excited? Mmm, how delightful. We will show them that we are not to be underestimated.> We're just going to do our job, Nona.< My precious ghoul, my little innocent. We are going to do our job, yes, but we will do it well. You will see. Nona will teach you.> "No questions here, ma'am," Sasha piped up quietly.
