Freya watched Kettil walk away, but the sound of Endzela's countdown had her heart racing once more, and she bent her knees, preparing to launch herself into the skies. Once Endzela was a safe distance up, Freya's wings beat against the wind a few times, and she leapt into the air, surging forward with the mighty power of the valkyrie's wing lifting her into the air. She let out an entirely inappropriate sounding moan that echoed into the night sky, and almost disappeared as she flew straight into a cloud.
It felt so GOOD to fly again! She loved being with all her new friends, and walking around, sure. But so few of them understood the sheer exhilaration of owning the skies, and defying gravity. She fell like an angel, her wings curling inward as she dipped, and then they flattened straight out and let her coast lazily through the currents.
"Endy, where are yeh my loves," She sing-songed out into the wind, letting the echoes take her voice away. The sound held just a brief second of sadness, as her tone had taken a musical turn.

After Endzela had taken flight Kettil laid back on the ground and stared skyward his eyes seeming to grow distant and unfocused where he remained. His 'sight' was elsewhere connected to his owl through as she flew through the air. It was a thrilling thing for him even though it wasn't him experiencing it fully but still it was nice.
Endzela meanwhile was swooping about in the air waiting for Freya fly up and soon enough the Owl appeared when called for, "I'm here~," she chimed back her wings adjusting for the wind current and simply gliding for the moment. "Isn't this wonderful?"
While she didn't need her Reaper to take her to open fields like this but it was a bonding experience for them and she treasured them and now she even had an actual flight partner! This was even more exciting than usual for the bird.

Freya turned her head and watched Endzela fly, and a happy giggle bubbled out of her. Her arms were held out on either side, and she was making silly noises as she whooshed through the air. In fact, they sounded quite a lot like 'whoosh'.
She took a sharp dip to the left, and the air slid through her wings and past her body, leaving goosebumps on her skin.
"Is more than wonderfuls, Endy! There is no greater feelings than this." Freedom. Flying meant freedom to Freya, and freedom meant everything to her.

Endy tilted and followed after her ghoul-bride with a small happy sound exiting her beak as she followed along, "I agree. It is the greatest feeling one could ask for," she said in a tone that was quite cheerful. There was a pause as her head tilted downward and she watched the ground for something rather intently.
There was movement of something small and tasty, she just knew it.
The Owl's body straightened and suddenly she swooped down gracefully with a high pitched cry and soon she swooped back up with something within her talons, "Food~," she uttered happily. It didn't take much for her to be happy.

Freya enjoyed the thrill of flight just as much as any bird, but when Endy started to hunt, she lost Freya's interest. Besides, the big noisy wings of a valkyrie were the last thing Endy wanted around her while she tried to stalk her prey, Freya was sure. So she soared up higher and made lazy, vulture-like circles in the air, watching the owl go to work until she uttered her victorious cry. Freya squealed with pride, her wings wrapping behind her to dip back down and catch up with Endzela. "What a clever bird you are! The mistress of the hunt. These forests quiver with fear at your mere name, great Endzela." She waggled her eyesbrows and flipped in the air, whooping at the exhilaration of the movement.

"Yes!" Endzela called back happily as she tucked her wings close into herself and did a small barrel roll followed by a swooping motion to regain her regular flight with her wings so she didn't fall from the air abruptly from the move. "If only my wings didn't tire, I could stay up here forever."
Truly Endzela would fly forever if her wings could support it.
She moved and swooped about Freya's form, "Besides we wouldn't want to leave our Kettil lonely forever, he'd pout," she teased lightly with a small giggle. Honestly, boils were such brats! Now ghouls? They were perfectly wonderful, especially Freya.

At the mention of Kettil, Freya's flight evened out as she thought hard, and then she surged forward, coasting slowly to the left until she was directly above Endzela. She dropped her head down, and the long braid dropped down in front of the owl. Freya stared upside down into Endzela's eyes as best as she could.
"Is he in there?" She whispered, craning her neck to get a better look. Unsatisfied, she moved to surge forward again, getting ahead of Endzela and turning around in place. This, of course, stopped her flight.
"HEY, HOOTER, ARE YEH-AHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Without flight, Freya dropped like a stone.

There was a sharp sting of pain that lanced through his head as he broke the connection to Endzela only to stumble onto his feet and to try and position himself underneath Freya to try and catch her if she should hit the ground. It might have looked a bit silly and helpless from the perspective of an outsider but Kettil didn't care all he saw was his good friend plummeting from the sky toward the ground and he'd seen it happen from the viewpoint of his owl.
Endy also tried to do her part by swooping down after the ghoul trying to uselessly halt the fall by trying to hold onto whatever cloth she could with her talons but since Freya weighs a lot more than a Great Owl ... Endzela ended up plummeting with Freya.

Freya's wings flapped, and flapped, trying to get back the wind beneath them, but one crumbled every time the other caught the current. Finally, the both of them flapped, hard, just before she reached Kettil, which made a gust of air hit him straight in the face, before her wings tilted once more and she was dumped on top of him.
The pile of feathers and limbs looked pathetic. She tumbled away, and remained laying on the ground, arms splayed out as she tried to catch her breath.
"That.. doesn't.. usually.. happen." Her wheezing voice managed to utter through quick inhales of air. And poor Endy had gotten caught up in the fall, too - she flickered worried eyes at the owl instantly.

Good news? This could have been much worse.
The bad news? His everything hurt for the time being as he laid out on the floor panting a little bit wondering what dump truck just hit him - Oh wait it was a Valkyrie. Nevermind. He stared skyward feeling oddly euphoric for having softened Freya's blow. After all she was a dear, dear friend and so any chance to help her the better.
"You were..ughh..a bit distracted." He tried to chuckle and failed.
Nearby by Freya was a sad lump of feathers as she tried to recouperate from her decent to the ground below trying to uselessly keep Freya aloft.
"Lala...You alright?" He grunted a bit.
A soft hoot was heard in response before she spoke up, "Just a bit sore, is Freya alright?"

Freya laughed effortlessly as the two of them chirped their worries out, and she brushed herself off, crawled up to her knees, and then stood. "Come on then, loves." She scooted around behind Kettil, slipped her arms under his, and took hold of him to heave him up onto his feet. "I thinks we might needs teh get backs inside. The winds are too mischievous for safety."
Nevermind that her fall was based completely on her own stupidity.

With her help he had gotten to his feet but Endzela on the other hand was determined to get up on her own and without Freya's help.
Kettil uttered a soft chuckle, "Thanks very much, Princess." He dusted himself off as he watched his Owl dramatically climb to her own two clawed feet, waddle over toward Freya and then hold her wings up to the Valkyrie with the sweetest most pathetic look the on Endzela's face that she could muster.
"Hold me?" She said in a pleading tone as she resumed holding her wings up to Freya hoping to be scooped up, "I am too tired to fly anymore~."
No she wasn't she just wanted to be carried. Kettil just smirked and shook his head.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!"
Freya's squeal echoed across the land.
She bent down and scooped Endzela up, wrapping both arms around the owl and cuddling her shamelessly against her bosom. She started to walk back towards the dorms, all the while cooing and showering love on the owl.
"I will, I will holds yeh and I will never ever lets yeh go, and I will loves yeh forever and we will live in a house by the sea and always be happy, yiss!"

Kettil just watched still smirking and not saying a word but Endy just peered over at her Reaper as she got cuddled and coddled and adored like she deserved to be and made a face that was smug. More than just a little smug. It oozed smug. The Reaper could do nothing but utter a short laugh and move to follow Freya back to the dorms, "I guess you two have your lives all figured out now, huh? Do I get to come visit ya?" He ignored the dull throb of a headache that was forming due to the sudden break of connection between himself and Endzela - he didn't need Freya fretting over it.
"Maybe," Endzela said simply as she stared up at Freya adoringly~.

Freya let Endzela field that question, but she turned and gave Kettil a brilliant, genuinely fond smile. She reached out with one hand, and clasped his in hers, tugging him over to keep him close while they walked back to the dorms.
That was her only answer, and it was enough.
