Whisper glanced at Suzaku, wondering all the while what the wolf was planning. She had suddenly stopped playing and took an almost serious look. For some reason the green wolf was reminded somewhat of an elder, so poised and wise. Yet the wolf in front of her was but an adolescent, much like herself, though Whisp was a bit older and more ready to grow into an adult, age-wise of course. She also had the head, but so did the older female in front of her. She wondered why the other seemed so.. knowledgable.
"Form a pack? Well, if we did, it'd be with wolves we knew.. and yes, that would be better. But how can we?" Indeed, how would they? Sure, they could get together some friends, but what about alphas and the like? They needed someone to lead them.. maybe Suzaku. She seemed mature and ready..
Yes, starting a pack seemed like a good thing to do at the moment. Plus, Fute could go and make friends with all of the new pack members instead of rushing into a place where the ranks are all steady and in place..

Suzaku wasn't really aware of the change, she was, but didn't pay it any mind. If Whisper had known her as a pup she would truely be shocked then. The transition for Suzaku was a natural one, however, given that she was the representation of Phoenix, the god of the South. She'd never told anyone this.
"A pack isn't built by rank, but by the relationships of those involved." She thought again back to her brothers, the anger chipping away to make room for the hurt, and now nostaligia instead. If things had just stayed that simple...
She gazed at the older female with sombering, but warm emeralds again.
"A pack built on a foundation of bonds and trust would be a strong one, and ranks would form themselves."
She knew this from experience. It was just unfortunate that she'd been seperated from her brothers before she'd been able to find her place in their pack. Genbu and Seiryuu would more likely than not become alphas, both if not one or the other. Byakko, well, Suzaku wasn't sure what role Byakko would grow into, when trying to fit them into traditional ranks, but he'd make a fine advisor and teacher, of sorts. She used to fancy herself as an advisor to their alpha brothers as well, but it seemed that wasn't meant to happen.

Whisper thought about this long and hard. Indeed, forming a pack with one's friends would be the best way to go. There would be nothing but trust in that pack and no one would be uncomfortable with each other like they would if they joined a pack with strangers in it. Yes, she would definitely go with it if someone else formed all the bones and whatnot. She wasn't really one to go about like an alpha sort of person and make all of the decisions. She could help, but preferred for others to make things their own way, she never seemed to mind before and didn't see how this could be any different.
"Yes, I see your point," she agreed. The green female allowed a smile to play across her maw as she thought about the possibility of Fute finally finding a pack. But.. they had also been invited into Feanaro's pack. They would have to deal with that if she was to form this pack with Suza.
"Well, I'll do it if we can get others to agree. Fute will definitely be overjoyed about this."

"Very well, I know another that would possibly be interested as well. I'll speak to him as well." She smiled, happy to see this plan coming together for the benifit of Whisper and the others. "Seneca, what do you think?"

.[Humble Beginnings?]. Suza's Journal + Main thread 07.01.05. Helaku trodded silently through the forest. He had been traveling alone for a long while now since he had been separated from his adopted sister. He wondered where she was and how she was faring. Also, if she had found some new friends or even her brothers.. yeah, her brothers. Hopefully things were well in that department.
As he went along, he started picking up scents. Some were strange and new, others familiar and warming. The strange ones were those of Whisper and Seneca, two wolves he didn't know. The familliar one was none other than Suzaku. Bushy tail took to a wag as he quickened his pace, eager to see her again. Hoping she was nearby, as he wasn't really up for sniffing out and calculating her distance from him, he called out ahead of him, "Suzaku!"Suzaku physically perked at the call. Her head lifted from her paws as she looked up from where she sat, hearing a familiar voice that she hadn't heard for days. She'd been lying down outside of the den with Seneca and Whisper.
Helaku? Her gaze turned from Whisper and Seneca now, moving as though to stand, then doing just so. "Laku, is that you?""Suza!!" he yelled out again after hearing her voice. She was close! Suddenly a yellow form came bursting through the bushes. He didn't even notice the pup and green female that were resting with his adoptive sister. All he cared about was seeing her again. After running full speed--and for him, that was a high speed--he tackled her, licking her face and tail wagging a million miles an hour. "Suza!! I missed you!!"
Whisper tilted her head slightly as she heard a strange voice from not to far away.. yet she guessed it wasn't that strange if Suza knew this new wolf. And it seemed he did as a yellow blur whoosed passed and tackled the fiery female. "Suzaku?!" Whisper was suddenly on her paws as the other female was tackled. She wondered whether her new friend was okay..It was obvious what was going to occur in a few seconds there. Suzaku's eyes widened with the dawn of realization. CRASH.
The force of her adopted brother's weight and velocity sent her crashing to the ground.
"ACK!!" THUD. "Helaku!" Came a squealed voice, as Suzaku tried in vain to keep from laughing, Helaku's kisses were tickling her rather badly. It was so great to see him again that she didn't even care that she'd ended up almost squashed. Her tail took up an energetic wag of greeting.Helaku couldn't help but do what he did, though he did worry about squishing her. Yet from the way her tail was wagging and everything, he assumed she was just fine, maybe had the wind knocked out of her, but fine nonetheless. "Suza! Where have you been?" Just then he realized that his adopted sister wasn't alone. He got off of her but still stood close, gazing at Seneca then.. Whisper.
Whisper stood silently, watching as Helaku and Suzaku had their reunion. It seemed they were fairly close as the yellow male asked where she had been and that he had missed her. Siblings? Perhaps.. for some reason she didn't think they were mates. It might have been the cause of the way Laku was looking at her..Suzaku rolled to her stomach and pushed up onto her paws again, half circling to face Helaku and nuzzle her head against his, ears flat. It was great to see him again! It was like being reunited with her blood-brothers. "I'm sorry I disappeared, I found-- I...."
She pulled back then, hesitating. Helaku might get upset if she told him what happened, she didn't want to go into that.
"I, got distracted and came across Seneca, here. What about you?" Her tail resumed a light wag. "Have you seen Akamu lately? Oh!"
Suzaku smiled at Helaku, then turned to the green femme. "Whisper, this is my brother, Helaku! He's the one I was telling you about."Helaku wagged his tail then nuzzled his sister back. It was great to be with her again! It also made him happy to learn that she found others to hang out with during the time they had been separated. It was also a good thing that nothing had happened to her while he was gone. And.. had she found her brothers? She hadn't mentioned it so maybe she didn't have much luck there. Akamu? "No.. I haven't seen him since we got separated," he replied, his gaze still on Whisper. "So, Whisper is your name?"
Whisper wagged her tail slightly as Suza revealed that they were siblings and not mates. She didn't really like Laku that way but it was just hormones taking over for a split second. "Nice to meet you, Helaku," the green wolf said as she dipped her head in a greeting. "And, yes, that's my name." A smiled creeped across her maw.Suzaku smiled and stood beside Seneca, slightly facing the other two. She waited for a chance to mention the news to Helaku, but wasn't in a rush either. She wondered how Seneca felt about it all.
Hopefully they'd both see Akamu again soon.Helaku wagged his tail as he locked gazes with Whisper. She was definitely very pretty indeed. He hadn't seen any other wolves for a long while, especially females, so he seemed to be in heaven right now. He didn't know how Whisper felt though.. she might think him too young. The green female did look bigger and a bit older, almost into adulthood. Yet that wouldn't stop him. "Have you seen Akamu, Suza?" he asked, finally turning his attention away from Whisp.
Whisper, seeing the way Laku was looking at her, averted her eyes, as if blushing. He was her new friend's brother after all, and plus she didn't have the 'skills' when it came to talking to males she could possibly like..The stares were not lost on Suzaku, she did notice the way her foster-brother's eyes lingered on the older female. She didn't miss the fact that Whisper was an attractive wolf, but it was the first time she'd seen her pup-hood playmate admiring a female. It was... honestly, a little weird.
((xD;; she got that from me.
"Suza: Ewwww, my brother likes girls!! D: I'm not ready for this!!" *my reaction finding out my younger brother has a girlfriend*))
"Huh...? Oh," She fought to keep a straight expression, finding it cute even if somehow surprising, but not wanting to seem patronizing or anything. "Yes, shortly after I met Seneca, here. We did a little hunting but then we parted ways again. He smelled of some other wolves, it makes me curious."
Obiviously there was more to it than a simple matter of him having other friends, if Suzaku made note of it. She'd noticed Hige's scent as a dominant one on Akamu's "person".
"Helaku, there's actually something that I want to talk to you about. Since we're all here it might as well be now."Helaku nodded as Suza revealed to him that she had seen Akamu sometime after the two were separated. It didn't surprise him either that his 'dad' had the scents of others on him. He wouldn't even in the least expect the sandy male to go about living alone and only for the two pups he found a while back--Suza and Laku. Then she mentioned something about having something she wanted to talk to him about. What could it be? Something good, he hoped..
Whisper sat down then sank to her belly as the siblings conversed. It was jus normal chit chat between the two and she didn't bother to join, not that she had anything to say anyways. But when her new friend mentioned having something she wanted to talk to her brother about, Whisp couldn't help but ask, "What you suggested earlier?"
Suzaku simply nodded her head a bit to Whisper, calming down again to take on her "reasoning" tone once more. This might come as surprising news to Helaku, given her search for her brothers, but Suzaku had decided that until her brothers decided to face her with an answer she could move on with life. She wanted someplace secure for Seneca and after what might have been a realization, understood that that place was not with her brothers. The four would work things out when the other three directions decided they were ready to face her and tell her what was going on. Besides, if things did work out where she went back to her brothers that didn't mean she couldn't stop seeing the others, or that she couldn't help them start this off.
Her tail thumped softly against the ground as she explained again, more to the point.
"I believe that it would be a good idea to form a pack, of the friends between Whisper, myself, and our friends. There would probably be good numbers, and a strong foundation of trust, and there wouldn't need to be hostility over who gained which ranks, if we allow them to sort themselves out. I'm sure that there must be packs somewhere around, but it makes more sense for friends to stay together than to split away and join a group of mostly strangers."
Would he agree?
Helaku glanced at Whisper as the green wolf spoke out. Her voice was so soft and silky.. his attention broke away from the older wolf as Suza began to explain what was on her mind. So.. she was thinking of having a pack of friends. Yes, that would work.. but, he thought his adopted sister wanted to find her blood-brothers and make things good with them again after that one incident with her brother. Yet if this was what she wantd to do, he didn't see anything wrong with it. Plus, his sister had just mentioned that the pack would also consist of Whisper's friends, meaning she would be in it as well he hoped. All the better!
"Hm.. a pack of friends. Well, it sounds like a good idea. I don't see how it could fail. If you wish, I'll help." He smiled, first at Suzaku, then at Whisper.
Seneca was just about glued to Suzaku's side. She was glad Whisper and Suza, among others, were thinking about creating a "pack of friends". She would finally have a family that cared for her, and she was more than willing to be a part.
The pup's tongue was lolling out of the side of her mouth with pleasure. She would be strong, she decided, if anyone ever needed. Her tiny mind was shifting through ideas, but she didn't exactly understand the entire reason. Her smoky-colored tail was wagging back and fourth joyfully.
It was definitely a plesant answer, certainly what she'd hoped to hear. "Wonderful!" She smiled, nipping up at the air. "Whisper, do you want help finding your friends?"
Now that the choice had been made and there were at least four definite members, they'd want to look into finding someplace for their pack to stay. It didn't have to be extravagant, and permanent would be desirable, but they'd need to consider some things, like the pack's growth if they gained new members. They could decide on a home, temporary or permanent, with a group vote later on. Suzaku would start thinking over places that would make good homes.
Whisper wagged her tail when Laku agreed to help them with their pack. This was good. More members meant a stronger and more stable pack and if this was to work that's exaclty what they needed. Though she thought there was more influence to the male's answer than his sister, she of course didn't voice it. She kept most of her thoughts to herself, and that was the reason why most thought her name fit her perfectly.
"Hm? Help? Well, I have a den with two of my friends Rochir and Fute. I know Fute said he had wanted a pack, but I'm not sure whether the other pup is ready for one or not.." she trailed off as she thought about any other packless wolves that she knew. "There is Talia, not sure if she wants a pack or not, though it wouldn't hurt to ask, and I'm not sure where she is. I guess I could use some help," she nodded, finally answering the question.
((Music on, check. Colored text, check. Commence RPness. XD; -bricked for geekness-))
The sounds of voices from afar lingered through the air continuously and had awoken Fute by now. He yawns and stretches, limbering up as he frequently did, before treading out of the den. He didn't take time to notice rather or not Rochir had awoken yet, or was around, for his thoughts were focused on whatever the commotion was nearby. Something about a pack. His ears perked up as he walked over towards the sound and stopped in front of what appeared to be not one but multiple others surrounding. His tail wags slightly and his eyes grow wide with happiness whenever he sees that Whisper is one of these wolves.
"Heya Whisper." He trots over and nuzzles her gently before eyeing the others there. "What's going on here, Whisper? What's this I hear of a pack? This some sort of convention?" His tone was chipper and inquisitive as always. He so wanted a pack to be in, and if it meant more friends, then that was even better! His heart was racing and his tail wagged ecstatically now.
There was even another pup in the group. One of the female persuation, and this he was sure of, unlike his mistake with Bastet before. His head shakes slightly and lowers, then picks back up and gives a smile to the female. He pads over and gives her a few paw swipes in greeting, then proceeds to do the same for all the others there.
"The name's Fute by the way. I don't believe I've had the pleasure of making yall's aquantances just yet." He yips gingerly and proceeds to lay down by Whisper's side, content for the moment, eager to hear what was up as he awaited answers.
It was cute how Fute stayed near Whisper and Seneca stayed with Suzaku. They were smart to stay with adolescents.
Seneca was pleased to meet another pup her own age, infact, this was the first she had come in contact with. She greeted the male with more freedom then she would an adult. Her tail was held high as was her head and her ears were perked far forward.
"My name is Seneca," she sounded younger in her mind, but kept quiet as usual. She was glad that she could make a new friend.

.[Humble Beginnings? Cont.]. Suza's Journal + Main thread 07.01.05. Sleepy amber eyes fluttered open as the purple wolf named Keefe awoke from his slumber. For once in quite a while he had taken a nap during the day and now he was feeling rather refreshed and awake. He stood slowly, stretching his tight muscles as he rose from the ground. Keefe's ears fell back to his skull as he let out a long, toothy yawn. He blinked a few times, looking about contently, tail letting out a single wag. He wondered how Nafeeza was faring, hopefully she could handle things back in the pack. The dark wolf fidgeted around a bit, being quite worried that he had left her all alone... At least she had Kahlaria to go to if something was to happen and Feanaro would be around, he could always trust the cheif.
His dark head rose to the sky, taking a whiff of the air. There was a faint scent of others nearby; he recognized some of them such as Fute, Whisper, and that redish femme from before, he couldn't remember the name. With a huff he started moving towards them, perhaps he'd chat or something, if he didn't scare them all off or whatnot. His pace slowed a bit as he neared the small gathering, almost coming to a halt as he stuck his head through a bush and came upon the wolves. The rest of him followed and he gave a quiet nod in hello.
Fute-- well, that timing was rather beneficial.
Suzaku smiled at Fute, he was adorable, and polite. Her rear appendage twitched a bit as her tail wagging became more enthused.
"It's a pleasure, Fute. I'm Suzaku,"
Whisper wagged her tail as Fute suddenly appeared and introduced himself to the rest of the group. That pup always was friendly and open in every way, unlike herself. Though they seemed to balance each other out in a weird way sometimes, so she didn't really mind. Plus, it was good to see someone happy and positive and able to make friends with his easy-going personality. When he had finished with his introduction and settled beside her, she gently rasped her tongue over his forehead like she always did.
"Well, Fute, Suzaku here," she spoke softly as she motioned with her head towards the adolescent female, "was thinking of having a group of friends start a pack. It's a good idea, I think. You would have loads of friends if we went with it. What do you think?" the young adult asked. She didn't even notice when Keefe approached in silence.
Helaku, on the other hand, had fully noticed the other male. His fur rose in alarm as the purple wolf appeared in complete silence. He hadn't shown any signs of agression yet, but one could never be to cautious. In one swift yet cautious move the yellow-furred wolf made his way in between Whisp and his adoptive sister, closer to Suza so as not to make the green female uncomfortable. She seemed like the shy type in the first place.
"Greetings," Laku said politely to the newcomer. Hopefully this wolf came with good intentions.
"Suzaku, aye? Killer name ya got there." He takes a moment to bat at the dirt with his paws, letting a little dust cloud form into the air then slowly fade before he looked back up, only to notice Keefe standing at the side. "Heya again there!" came a happy voice towards the older male.
Whenever Whisper spoke of Suza's thoughts about forming a pack amongst friends, Fute's eyes light up with excitement. He lifts his head high and perks his ears up stiffly, listening closely to every word of the idea as it repeats over a few times within his mind before he releases enough energy to answer calmly. "I think that sounds like an idea too killer for words! I'd LOVE that!" A yelp of glee escapes from his maw accidentally as a bright smile plays across his muzzle.
He then remembers of the female pup's introducing herself to him and he gives her a huge smile. "Seneca, ey? That, that's a very cool name." This female seemed different from the previous one he'd met. Yes, she was nothing like Kenya. She seemed more eager and playful. He liked this quality in others, and thusly took immediate liking to this girl as well. She also had an emaculate coat of fur in the most stunning array of color variations he'd ever spotted. "I like your coat of fur. It's very shiny and, beautiful." His nose wrinkles and his eyes sparkle as he bats a playful paw or two at the lass. This girl was definately gonna make an awesome new friend, and he'd be just as good a friend to her, nomatter what the cost.
((I'm lost as to the posting order right now, so this is a winged post, hoping I'm not going early or late. xd ))
Seneca's eyes widened. She had never had the pleasure of meeting another pup, and therefore never had a real playmate. At his compliment, though, she seemed to look at him in a different light.
"Thank you," she answered with a bright and easy smile, "..very much." Usually, she'd only speak when spoken too, but the male seemed very intelligent, and she needed to show him that she was also. She took a step back, almost surprised that he would have started a game. Her energy was so bundled up that she was just about to burst. Her eyes narrowed and her front half dropped to the ground as her back end stood way in the air. Her tail was wagging quite fast and she was accepting of play. She blew air through her nostrils and let her claws grab some earth. Just as she threw around playful gestures, Seneca realized that this was the first male she had ever come in contact with. She knew that she had just met a great friend.((That works for me! ^^))
Now, as phoenix watched the little cheetah-pup move about from face to face, she admired the markings he bore. He was a handsome fellow, and as she'd already noted, well mannered. So, five so far, and they all seemed to get along well, this was excellent, just wonderful! If things continued to go this well then it should be a happy ending for the better half of them.
Suzaku smiled and let Whisper explain, Fute was her friend after all, so it seemed only natural to let her fill him in. It was nice to see that the idea was being so well accepted so far, too, she hadn't pitched many ideas with much sucess before coming to these woods.
Suzaku noticed when Helaku made his move to stand between the two females, a bit closer to her, and she realized another had entered the scene.
As she recognized the dark pelt coming through the brush she relaxed. She'd already met Keefe briefly once, and though her attention did divert his way for a moment long enough to softly wuff a greeting, she then replied to Fute, and then to the rest in general. "Thank you, Fute. This should shape up rather well, I think that everyone will get along nicely."

.[Inward Musing]. 07.06.05.I've found that life is moving by at an almost alarming rate these days. Ever since I ran into Byakko things have been a blur... I'm confused, I'm hurt, and for a while I didn't know what would become of things. I've worked to form something very strongly in the likeness of a pack. So far it's mostly only wolves my age, but there are a few adults, like Whisper, and Talia, and Ronan. It is meant to be a gathering of those in these woods that are without a pack that they feel they can call home, those that do not wish to be seperated from their loved ones as I have. I don't know, I don't wish to lead a pack alone, since puphood I fashioned myself to lead a pack as a council, as one of four leaders with my brothers, but it seems that those days are coming to a hault. Will we ever be the same again? No, that's not the right question, the right question is will we ever be able to mend things again. I don't feel that I can take being turned away from a third time. I'm needed here right now, I do intend to see this pack get to it's paws before I resume my search again. I need the time to collect my thoughts, and I don't wish to be seperated from Seneca just yet. I'm not sure where my brothers are right now, Byakko, Genbu, Seiryuu, but I hope to see them again and finally put whatever this misundestanding is to rest.

.[Head on Collision with the past]. Kochikens: AIM 08.02.05. Life was peaceful at the moment. Thanks to Ronan she'd been able to get much more rest and was beginning to show signs of it again. Her legs were once again getting to be slightly lanky as she was growing into adulthood now. However, her diet consisted only of rabbit and fish, she was certainly smaller in size to show for it.
She'd stopped by the river for a drink, near the edge of her current pack's residence. They'd be moving to find territory soon, near the mountains to the west. As her rough pallet lapped up the refreshing water of the spring, her thoughts wandered to her brothers not for the first or the last time. She missed them terribly, but for some reason they didn't want to be around her. She hadn't worked up the courage to search for them again yet.
A little grey squirrel zipped between the she-wolfs legs, moving so fast that it actually zipped across the waters surface in a bound and then beelined for the forest. But something ominous as coming, it was just a thundering roar pounding towards Suzaku. You could barely hear the footsteps as a wolf pounded through the forest on the other side of the river. But quickly a wolf did come into view, Reicher, the adult male who as soon as he left the forest was racing through the water and nearly jumped all the way across it. It appeared he was chasing the scent of the squirrel, for he didn't see the female wolf infront of him as he bounded onwards.
Infact, Reicher crashed right into her in a head on collision. His head smacked across hers in a resounding SMASH. The wolf fell backwards into the river after the headbutt, finding that his skull ached enormously and was relieved to fall into the water.
Suzaku gave a horrible start as the squirrel shot past like a bullet underneath her. The approaching danger was lost on her, however, until he burst out of the bushes that was. She knew this wolf, she'd had a terrifying encounter with him once as a pup, he'd towered over her then, and it didn't seem to have gotten any better now. The fact that he was hovering in the air for a moment before coming back down towards Earth just made his visage all the more frightening.
She didn't have time to think on this more, however, as before she could hope to react they had collided like a barreling bolder against a tree. The phoenix yelped in pain and toppled backwards with a firey ache racing through her head. Just a second after the impact Suzaku fell limp to the ground.
That couldn't be good.
Reicher dipped his burning head in the cool water, but he couldn't help but feel that having his head hit was familiar in some way. Shaking his wet head off and raising it from the water, he spied the unconsious wolf. So that's what had hurt his head so much! Twitching his nose and looking her over, he decided that while he recognized her, he didn't remember why. Shrugging his shoulders, and remembering that there was indeed a squirrel still on the loose looking to get it's a** kicked Reicher stepped up out of the water and carefully walked around the limp wolf before darting off into the forest.
To be Continued...?
