Joon glanced over at Maria but didn't bother to ask why she giggled.He finished cutting the vegetables and waited to be told what to do next,while waiting random memory's ran threw his head mostly of that night,trust me if he could forget it he would but its like it was engraved into his memory,never once did his expression change for his usual emotion less one to how he felt when remembering the nightmarish night.

Maria glanced over at Joon when he finished with the vegetables. “You can start cleaning up then. I can handle the rest of the stir-fry,” she explained as she got out spices and such to add to the large skillet. She really only perked up when she heard the door open, then shut again. “Welcome home, Zero. Iris. Dinner will be ready in a few.”

Iris smiled and was humming the whole way home from the field. After Maria welcomed them, the girl only reached up again for the fox kit in Zero’s hair. “Can I play with him before dinner? Please please please??” she asked sweetly. She had to stand on her tip toes again in attempt to reach for the fox kit, even though she didn’t exactly know where it was as it was buried somewhere in the blonde hair.

Derik rolled his eyes at his sister, preferring to stay off to the side as she worked. Sure, he waved back slightly at Rebecca, but he was more into people-watching than anything. He was brought out of his space-out-zone when Chasity perked in. Again, he returned the wave. "H-hey there Chasity. Nice to see you too.. How've you been?.."

As Rebecca set a plate down on a customers table, she glanced up at the new arrival. Quickly walking over to the table, she smiled at the girl. "Hello. I'm Rebecca and I'll be you server for today. Would you like anything to drink?" She asked.

"Pretty good. A little stressed with the drama club and all. How about you. Anything good happen lately?" Chasity asked holding her hands behind her back as she rocked side to side.

"Coffee,please." Lucy replied and returned the smile then slid her backpack off and placed on the floor beside her.

Zero waved back at Joon as the fox kit jumped out of his hair into Iris's arms, yipping loudly. Zero just walked into the kitchen looking at Maria. Reaching back he put his hair in a pony tail just so that it wasn't everywhere. "Anything I can do to help?"

Derik let a rare smile appear before nodding. "Sounds like a good idea." He straightened up since he was still leaning back against a wall, adjusting his hat. He hesitated before turning on his heel. "U-um.. I-i'll catch ya later... Te-ext or call if you want. My number's in your contacts under E. K. D.... You can change it if you want..." Without explaining how he supposedly got a hold of Chasity's phone long enough to put his number in it and sneak it back to her, Derik headed out of the cafe.

Iris let out an excited laugh and headed to the nearest closet. Keeping the fox kit in one arm, she used her free hand to open the closet and pull out a string with a feather on the end. Usually it's Kitty's toy (Maria's cat), but Iris was known to use it to play with Zero's fox as well. She set the fox kit lightly on the ground and shut the closet, trotting off with the string dragging behind her.

"Just making sure that the table is set and grabbing drinks I guess. Atticus and Derik will probably be home soon, though Rebecca has work so she'll be late again," Maria explained, adding a few other spices to the vegetable stir-fry on the stove. Her black cat, Kitty, made it's way onto the window sill and curled up in a ball, purring contently.

Rebecca nodded and walked away to go get her coffee. She watched Derik walk out and glanced over at Chas before going back to work. After stirring the cream in the coffee, she returned to Lucy's table setting the coffee down. "Are you ready to order?"

Chasity just smiled as she watched him leave, and placed a hand on the phone in her pocket. Coming back to reality, she started cleaning up the tables and collecting the tips.
