Her blade knew blood; it bit into the front haunch and shoulder blade of her chosen target while it was still airborne. With a piercing yowl the large feline was not only slashed by the edge of her blade but bludgeoned back into the sand by the claymore's weight. It snarled and kicked at the Fallen's sword with its hind legs, while its one good forepaw jerked upwards to claw at her sword hand. Cordelia was fast -faster than a single Shadow Cat- but not faster than two. Her flank remained open to her second ambusher, and the predator did not hesitate to exploit her vulnerability. As she felt the barbs of its claws puncture her skin like white hot thorns, the attacking Shadow Cat opened its serpent-like jaws to bite into more of her exposed back. ((E Rank Damage total sustained from the second cat's attack))

She did not loose her cool as she felt the claws sink in from behind, she has felt far worse in pain then these little kitten claws. The weight on her back, combined with her own strength pushed the trapped cat further and further into the sand. In seconds, it's head would be fully submerged.. While spittle and hot breath oozed onto her neck, the fallen used her right hand like a snake to strike the cat, but instead of a subtle punch, she wrapped her right hand like a vice around the cats throat...continuously pushing her thum further out, hoping to keep it at distance, as well as snap its neck. "Don't hiss at me! You will make a nice coat!" she cried, not knowing if the animal would understand, but the threat was her own.

((Remember that the number of Standard Attacks a character get corresponds to their Speed - while the body press on the first cat isn't considered a Standard Attack, 6 Speed permits a character one non-skill Standard Attack per post, so that Cordelia is able to grab and punch the second Target but only once. Another E Damage Sustained from this second attack.)) Her first target sunk into the dunes like so many lost creatures, only this one was still alive. A term that was loosely applied, as the creature kicked at the sand but was unable to breath beneath the weight of the Fallen and its packmate. While it's companion's struggle faded into unconsciousness, the Shadow Cat at Cordelia's back was not so defeated. As Cordelia moved to wrap her arm around its neck, the beast's fast reflexes allowed it the opportunity to bury its fangs gums deep in her forearm. Though its bite seared her nerves like knives of fire, it did nothing to defend it from her next maneuver, and the creature was unable to maintain its grip on the Fallen's back. It swung free from her, hanging from her arm and wriggling with ferocious fury as it lashed its head back and forth within her grip, weathering her strike to its skull in an attempt to rend her grappling arm's muscles down to the bone.

~Cordelia~ -Seraphiel; Angel of Silence-
Her arm, a bloody mangled mess began to falter..no doubt there was some serious muscle damage. Her eyes focusing in on the cat, angry as all hell that this little feline could cause such a mark on her...on a fallen! A proud and strong warrior! This would not stand, she was clearly out of practice, but would not be defeated, not by this mere animal..leaning her body in, she used the last of her strength to push the cat out into open space. Wings unfurled, she beat them once , raising her sword to hack the cat right through its middle, her goal was to cleave it in two.

((Congrats! Because you have a strength of 9 (Given the new warrior revisions) you actually did C Rank Damage 3nodding Owned)) The second Shadow Cat had no defense against such a brutal attack, and was to focused on doing damage to its prey to notice or dodge the blow. With a wet, thick slap of sound the beast's back split open and down its middle. Blood gushed out over its coat and into the sand like a sliced ripe fruit, as the nearly halved cat let out a breathless yowl and fell motionless into the dune; its body rolling in ghastly ways as what little kept its middle together twisted through its fall. There were no other howls to echo in the lightening sky. Dawn was approaching, and as the sun began to spread its golden fingers over the night the Fallen was triumphant. Her first target remained unconscious and intact, ready to be transported back to her teacher.

~Cordelia~ -Seraphiel; Angel of Silence-
The animal that had caused her Physical harm, was now slain. Something that she took great pride in, but a nagging sense of confusion pushed from the back of her mind. She should not be happy about the death of this animal, but..it was her enemy, it drew blood from her..so she did the same. It was only fair....right?
Shaking her head, she pushed it aside and left the slain animal to the dunes. Walking a few paces to where she left off, she placed her large sword in the sand, and with her good arm, reached down and took the unconscious animal out.
Minutes went by as she finally finished and began to fly away. The cat still asleep as it was dragged by it's foot. What she had done was tie it's foot with her whip, her injured arm was beginning to burn, not strong enough to attack, but good enough to drag the limp cat. Her other hand gripped the sword, she was on her way to see the reaper.

The wilders moved swiftly over the familiar footing of the Dunes, with Gerdane at the front. Over his shoulder was the unconscious Fendon. They raced onwards, towards the City Under the Sands.

It did not take long before other figures were visible topping the dunes East of the Reaper and his protege. Kerrark recognized the group immediately -the Wilder Warrior Gerdane, and those men who must have accompanied him in escorting the Legion from the desert. There was a body slung over his shoulder -a young man with dark purple hair- that flopped limply through the Were-Jackal's loping stride. All of them were running even faster than Kerrark and Cordelia. Their shafts of their spears were curled into the inside of their elbows as they darted along the sand. "GERDANE!" The Reaper shouted, so much louder than his typical voice. The Warrior did not stop, and neither did his companions. "NO TIME FOR TALK REAPER! OUR LORD CALLS!" Gerdane's voice boomed over the narrowing space between them. The Reaper resounded back, "AND WE ANSWER!" That was the extent of their discourse for now. The Were-Beast did not question the presence of the Fallen traveling with Kerrark, and so neither did his men. They carried on without delay.

Fendon groaned from the bumping and jostling, forcing his eyes open to find sand passing before him. "Ugh," he moaned, lifting up a little to see Gerdane was carrying him. "Where are we going, Silverchops? I thought you were testing me." He gave the man a sniff, looking for the scent of blood.
"I am only what you have made me..."

"I was," Gerdane growled at the boy over his shoulder, "and you passed before I put you down. Glory to you, Fendon, now-" Without really stopping, Gerdane wrapped his supporting shoulder's arm around the younger Were-Wolf and set-tossed him onto the sand as he continued running. The Reaper and Fallen woman that now ran alongside the Were-Jackal and his wilder companions were both silent; their faces hard set and eyes looking forward. Forward, towards a rising span of smoke on the horizon, and battle calls carried on the wind along with the stench of charring rotten meat. "You've a choice, Wolf-kin!" He was already past Fendon; Gerdane's voice carried back towards him on the putrid breeze as the other wilders rushed around and ahead of him. "Repay me with kills, or get gone! We go to war!"

Fendon loped after, a growl rising in him. "Give me a blade, Silverchops. I'll show you what I can do." He licked his lips at the thought of battle.
"I am only what you have made me..."

Gerdane turned only long enough to pitch the knife he'd previously given Fendon back towards the Were-wolf. After their prior engagement he did not bother to check if he caught it. With a bellowing warcry, Gerdane and the wilders beside him raised their voices to the wretched plumes of smoke that billowed up ahead. The battle was visible now, the Plague Army being driven back... but up ahead was a true monstrosity. "CHANT! TRIBES! LET YOUR FATHERS TASTE THE BLOOD YOU SPILL!""We need to get around that giant..." Kerrark confided to Cordelia. "I cannot fight it, and neither can you. Don't throw your life away - help the tribes drive the soldiers back. Lord Valdiir will deal with the beast... He did not know that for certain, but he had seen the Anima's rage and fury in all of its Cimmerian splendor. If this "Vincent" was bold enough to march his troops all the way to Andalusia after Azur's murder, then Krayth's presence was assured... [EXEUNT - The Hidden Causeway ]
