Both of her hands were on her weapon now. One hand gripped the trigger, the other held the barrel of the flame thrower tight, the weapon held horizontally for protection. Their blue eyes met and locked over the weapons, Aria's arms trembling as she tried to hold her weapon in place. She did not notice the cyan blade that bit down into the rune on her weapon. Neither she nor her weapon knew that this was the fate her weapon's twin suffered, the rune becoming damaged and broken as the hunter's blade bit into it.
But Aria wasn't as strong as Red, her doppleganger. Aria held for a second before letting go with one hand, letting the scythe screech and scrape against her weapon as she drew it away, raising it up and pointing. She pulled the trigger, directing a blast of bright blue fire towards Caelius' face. Symph! What is he --
the weapon growled.
"Caelius!" Aria shouted, trying to back out of range of his scythe. "What the hell are you doing? What do you mean by effect on a non-Halloween host?!" Her voice was tight, edged with panic. If Symphony was destroyed, if it was really possible to break a weapon... Would she still be a hunter?

Dakota pulled back with Marcus and Wilson again as fire shot out from Aria's weapon before he heard her shout.
Halloween host? What the hell was Caelius talking about? Seriously?
This was a little too much for the new trainee and oddly, he didn't like seeing the Death Hunter head going at Aria with the intent of serious destruction.
"Dude seriously, What the hell is Caelius problem??" Wasn't this suppose to be a training for Runic weapons? Seriously.

He dropped his attack, swearing loudly as the flames burst past his face, singed glasses clattering to the ground. The moment's reprieve as he re-focused on Aria was more than enough for the Mist Hunter lead to recover.
"Did you even ******** read the Haunted House report?" Though he was by any far stretch of the imagination, playing nice, Circe humming loudly as he backed up for a ranged attack, sweeping his weapon upwards in an arc, the shockwave rippling through the flames. "Your unreported absence from Deus Ex caused a ******** spy to not only slip in as you, but jeopardize that entire mission as well. Don't tell me it is ******** ironic that you share the same weapon with her."
He was the lead of the Death Faction. He wanted to know the details, exactly the why. Aria was simply until then, a liability, though he had never quite harboured any sort of kindness for her, it had been at least different from the game he and H played.

"It's hard to read it if somebody doesn't provide me with a goddamn copy!" Aria spat back, both hands on her weapon to hold it steady. Her left hand carefully brushed it, wincing at the grooves left by Caelius' weapon. s**t. s**t, s**t, s**t. In all her years at Deus Ex, she had never heard of a weapon being destroyed. Rumors, yes -- but they were just rumors. The Haunted House mission was something she was unfamiliar with, a record locked and denied to her access.
The shockwave hit her Fear shield, forcing the Mist division leader to fall to one knee with the force of it. "I could have handled that Horseman!" She shouted, standing up and snarling. "It wasn't until your deaths came in and jeopardized my mission that you lost one of your own! Don't act like you were the only one to lose something. I lost a lot more than you because of them."
Aria pulled the trigger, grimacing as the flames weren't quite enough to reach Caelius. "You and I both know that a weapon can be bond to only one at a time. Didn't you say yourself that you destroyed the other one? This isn't the same goddamn weapon!"

It was very possible that some hapless Hunter would find him later covered in various degrees of burns and offer to help, but Caelius for now seemed intent on drilling Aria each and every second. The trainees had long faded away to insignificance: not a huge difference from how they were normally treated by the Death Hunter.
"Then you knew your weapon was a twin." He tried to move through the flames against the ground, though his options were becoming increasingly limited with each turn. While Circe's attacks focused on short powerful bursts, Symphony's was a test of endurance: in the long run, their attacks would cover the entire area and consume their target. "There was another weapon identical to yours and you did not report it when you became a hun-"
- Even Caelius had the decency to shut up as he breached that topic. It did not mean that things made more sense, in fact he seemed quite pissed at the end result, finally covering enough distance to swing his weapon again at Aria, though unfortunately his impaired vision did the rest of the work as the attack swung wide.
The Mist Hunter was, ultimately, not worth more effort than that: it was clear she was not going to reveal anything else soon, or perhaps she did not know, whatever the result, the Death Hunter had lost interest. He did nothing to assist the trainees in avoiding the spreading flames as he moved further away, out of the so-called battlefield. The look he gave Aria was as uncompromising as ever as he desummoned Circe, picking up both his runic daggers, the weapon bobbing after him as he simple walked off. Acting per usual as if everything revolved around him.
It also left Aria with no closure, no reason, just nothing. Typical behaviour from him really, though whether or not the trainees had questions was another topic entirely.

Before should have taken the chance to GTFO when it had presented itself. Which was... he wasn't sure exactly if there was even the opportunity so maybe he should be regretting having ever approached at all. Because. ********. FIRE! FIRE FIRE FIRE!!!! Sure it was FEAR-based Fire but that would still hurt! DDDDDDDD8

What. What the hell was even happening. Madison had observed the Runic Weapon demonstration with interest, though Kouki seemed determined to distract her with his grumbling and posturing. And then Caelius showed up...
... why had she gone into the Death Division, again? Oh, right, because he'd moved her without asking her. Ugh. This was so, so not cool. Nor was the fire that was sweeping towards them. Madison backed away as quickly as she could, feeling the heat in the air, the urge to actually cut and run growing. Last time she'd been so close to flame, Aria's imposter had... ugh.

Wilson was completely and utterly confused by the convoluted conversation going on between Caelius and Aria. He looked to Marcus for some sort of explanation on the whole “non-Halloween host” thing the man had mentioned. “What is he talking about?” he murmured, shifting his uneasy glance between the moon hunter and the two division leaders. Aria pulled the trigger on her weapon, releasing a wave of flames. He sucked in his breath as he took another cautionary step back, but fortunately he was a safe distance away from the attack, though he could still feel the heat.
He shifted uncomfortably. “Uhhh. Does this mean the demonstration is over?”

Marcus mostly wanted just out of the danger zone from the two division leaders. As much as he was curious about what they were discussing, he'd like to not die. Twin weapons... that was interesting. Dis said he didn't have a twin, that the world was big enough for two of him, Marcus figured like usual, it was just bullshit. This fight however, was not. "His problem Dakota, is his bleeding v****a." Julie had only sent them to help, (at least that is what he told himself). As Caelius relented, so did Marcus's need to get them the hell away, a heavy sigh leaving him as the death lead went of to probably go haze someone else. To Wilson's question however- "A lesson is over when she says it's over." He didn't know. No harm is asking right? " Miss Aria, will that be all for now?"

Stunned was one word for it, however the expression was not on her face as Aria stared at the fire that remained, burning coolly and bright on top of the snow. She kept her face blank as she walked forward, calmly beginning to kick snow over the fire. A glance over at the trainees proved to her that some had retreated, the rest simply standing there and watching her. Figures.
"All of you are dismissed. Return to your previous duties," She ordered, dismissing them with a wave of her hand before returning to the current task at hand: putting out the fire she started.
