Lucas Balmore Luke shielded his blue eyes from the dust as he walked, the storm had died down, needless to say the worst was over. Dark locks of soft hair tickled his face as the wind whirled around him, Luke decided to rest in one of the buildings. After walking all night he was wary, dark rings could be seen under his bright eyes and he seemed slightly pale. Luke didn't rest much now days, he felt incomplete without his little sister, finding her was more important than sleep to him. He knew she was out there somewhere by herself, alone, scared, and defenseless. Luke sank to the floor and held his head in his hands miserably for a moment, he failed to keep her safe once already, he intended to make things right. Suddenly, Lucas heard voices and quickly pressed himself against a wall. People? Here? Cautiously he glanced around, curious as to who the voices belonged to.

"Hm, I haven't seen many flies in this area, I'll guess smaller spiders and lizards." He said softly, the tarantula pausing at the movement before continuing to softly climb. Charlie shook her head when Mada explained why she refused to hold it, smiling, looking at the thing climb onto his shoulder. "Who knows, maybe that's why he seems relatively unafraid of me? Or he's never seen humans before." And allowed the small legs to prod, arachnid standing on it's lower legs, front two feeling around his jaw line before giving up and crawling down. Charlie finally looked up before deciding to stand, dusting off his legs. "The storm seems to be mostly over, we can go now." and held out a hand to help Mada up. Gloves, she was so thankful the other was wearing gloves

Mada smiled brightly when Charlie offered his hand and used it to pull herself up, "thank you so much!" she brushed the dust off her bottom and cocked her head to the side. "I smell despair....." she frowned and began to search for the origin of the scent. "hello-" she said when she turned a corner and found a man sitting against a wall. she smiled and looked at the man, he looked completely wore out. "oh, you poor thing-" she sighed before kneeling and hugging him. he looked like he was in so much pain, she just couldn't help herself. yes, it was stupid to hug a complete and total stranger without any idea of if he was violent or not, but such was her nature.

Lucas Balmore Luke jumped slightly at the sight of the woman that came around the corner, he then tensed up when she hugged him. Eyes wide, Luke looked down at the girl and his brows frowned slightly. She reminded him so much of his sister. Slowly, Lucas disengaged the girl from him and gently pushed her to a safe distance. "Can I help you?" he asked knowing that this girl was as harmless as a flower. When at a safe distance, Luke relaxed his tensed muscles once again. "I didn't realize there were others out here. Forgive me if I interrupted you. I didn't mean anything by it." Luke gave a smile but nothing could erase the dark lines under his bright yet tired eyes. Rising to his feet, the dark haired man gave a small nod to the girl. "I'm Lucas." he said politely.

The other gave a small nod at Mada's thanks before opening the glass doors and glancing around. He had spotted Lucas, but he seemed to be lost in thought so Charlie began to walk the other way, stopping when she heard Mada recognize the other. Adjusting her hat gray eyes glanced over at the two, the tarantula now clinging to his torso, thankful for the stop to continue climbing. Wasn't it dangerous to go hugging random strangers? Knowing that his battle was only internal, the androgynous person walked forward, studying the other. How old was he? Which direction did he come from? how long had he been awake? he looked exhausted, gloves, was he wearing gloves as well? His arms were bare, Charlie never really touched arms anyway, he hadn't touched Mada's yet. She should get her own gloves, this way when she touched others she wouldn't see their greatest fear, at least with nice people. The other had moved away rather quickly though, gray eyes travelling to the vivid pink hair of the girl in front of him. That had been enough to nearly scare himself away. "I'll be going ahead." He murmured toward Mada, walking away before the tarantula had time to climb onto the priestess.

Mada smiled, "there is nothing to apologize for, it was i who hugged you out of the blue and for that i apologize." she nodded her head to him, "I am Mada, a pleasure to meet you." she turned to look at Charlie as he said he was going ahead and her eyes widened when she focused on the tarantula that was on her shoulder. she couldn't help it, her eyes widened and a tiny scream escaped her lips. the arm without a giant spider on it came up to clamp over her mouth to stop the scream and she closed her eyes, turning her head back so she could focus on Luke, fighting to not move. "Ch-Charlie. could you please come retrieve your friend here?" she asked in a shaky voice, still fighting to focus on Luke and not the movement on her shoulder as the creature climbed down to cling over her heart, which was thumping far too hard.

Lucas Balmore Luke gave a nod when Mada introduced herself but paused when she seemed to go wide eyed, looking to her shoulder he saw the tarantula and gave a small smile. He watched the creature for a moment before seeing how much it bothered Mada, he reached in and gently plucked the tarantula off the frightened girl. "There there little guy, one must respect the ladies." he smiled softly before placing the sider on a wall. Luke had figured out the other persons name was Charlie when Mada called for him to take the tarantula back. He watched as Charlie walked off. He seemed like a quiet one, but Lucas couldn't know that for sure, he didn't know the other.

Charlie continued walking, scanning the scenery carefully, thought it really looked like he was just bored and tired. Anything wild, any hidden people? Any places people could hide? Any places food might be hiding? Any signs of canned or packaged, non-perishable food? Charlie had more then once eaten a bulging can of spam, it hadn't ended well. She paused, turning around as Mada called her name. Her friend? That man was certainly not his friend, but the teen walked back over, though slowly. It didn't take long to figure out what was her problem, the taller male snatching away the tarantula and placing him on a wall. She looked down at her own chest, finding the hairy thing missing. A jumping tarantua? A jumping spider? Or had the animal kingdom evolved with the ruination of the world? Re-directing his walk he moved toward the wall, looking at the fuzzy thing. A finger reached up to poke it, front legs lifting in a threatening manner, making the finger pull away. Guess he couldn't have a pet after all. "Too bad." he murmured, looking back at Lucas and Mada before adjusting his hat and bag and turning to walk away again.

Lucas Balmore Luke watched as Charlie came back, he was a strange person. Luke noticed that the other had some very feminine features but he just figured thats how the other boy was, he didn't question it much. Luke looked back to Mada as the other boy walked off again. "Do you mind if I travel with you two for a while?" Luke assumed it would be more productive if they traveled in numbers, there was less chance for them to be attacked by wild animals and it was beneficial to have extra eyes and ears on the road. Plus, there was strength in numbers.

Mada shivered and put her hand to her heart, letting out a small sigh of relief when the spider was taken away. "thank you, Luke." she smiled warmly and stood, "if you wish. you are more than welcome to join us." she held her hand out to him and helped the man stand, "i know you're tired and i'm sorry, but i think Charlie is feeling a bit antsy. we'll travel for a bit, but if you feel tired then let us know and we'll take brakes, ok?" she looked at Charlie and moved to catch up to him, "wait for us, Charlie. we're coming."

Charlie could faintly hear the other's question, not really minding in the least if the taller male came along. He would be a shield in Charlie needed to run. Yes, Charlie herself was indeed a coward and a runner, she hadn't survived this long without it. As a grey eye peered around the corner of the building, his ear heard the footsteps of Mada and Lucas shifting through the dirty concrete. A complete wasteland, in some places there was no concrete at all but sand instead, the once glorious modern age, stricken down by the hand of God. He looked back, finding them close enough to disappear around the building and continue his quick pace. Away from shadows, stay in the sunlight, make sure part of him was in the sunlight while walking through the shadows. The nightmare still made his skin crawl, tugging at his sleeves and shirt to make sure it wasn't alive.

Lucas Balmore Lucas gave a small smile before following after the other two. These two strangers made him think of his beloved sister even more so sense the war ended. Though Luke was grateful that he had found someone out here in the middle of no where. He felt as if luck was smiling down on him, if only he could use his luck to find his sister.. Luke refused to give up. As soon as he caught up to the others he seemed to be at a loss for words so he just remained silent.

Mada walked in the sunlight, closing her eyes as she turned her face up to it's warmth. her leg hurt from where she'd healed Charlie, but she didn't mind. the pain would fade soon enough and she now had two travel companions! her day was already looking as bright as the sun that shown down on them. "oh-Lucas, Charlie? i don't particularly mind, but is there any place you two need or would like to go? anything or anyone you are searching for? i'm good at finding things and people." she smiled brightly, remembering the faces of the siblings she'd helped find each other the day before

Stopping, gray eyes turned to Mada, eyebrows slightly raised. Any place he'd liked to go? She opened her bag to show it was empty, but instead saw the can of beans, taking it out to make sure it wasn't fake. So Mada hadn't used them. "This is my last can." came the voice, hands putting it back. "I need to stock up." and turned back around, pausing at the long shadow of a building and walking around it. Yes, with Charlie, one would always be taking the long way, to fend off the shadows, the demons.

Lucas Balmore Lucas faltered with his steps when he heard what Mada said about finding people. He opened his mouth as if to say something then closed it once more. Luke did not want others to know of his sister, he was to protective of her. No, he would not tell them, Luke would find her on his own. "Thats an interesting gift." he said as they continued to walk. "Do you know where we might be able to find a trade market?" he asked. "I'm quite low on supplies and need to restock." he explained. He was not lying, he truly needed supplies but the reason he wanted to find a trade market was to see if his sister was there. Lucas then noticed that Charlie was walking around the shadows of buildings and such. That was a little strange, the other did not like shadows? Luke then concentrated as a ball of light appeared in his hand, with a smile he tossed it above Charlie where it stayed, hovering above him causing the shadows of the buildings to go away. That might make things a little easier for him. Luke did not know how he got his elemental gifts but he was glad that he could use them to help others.
