((Entering from the dorms)) Her OCD was so angry right now. Heidi had thrown on her hunter coat, quickly dried off her hair with a towel without brushing it after, and trudged out in... her pajamas. Sure, she still had her daggers attached to her hip in a sling but she was still wearing her pajamas out in the middle of the training field in the middle of the day. She clearly didn't think this through. At least she didn't have the totally awesome stupid Lisa Frank notebook on her anymore. It was safely in her dorm hidden in a drawer. She had arrived in time to see Velda's assistant...er...Howard, right? He was spraying the woman who had been hanging off Caelius. Well then..oh wait! Water! That was perfect! "Ugh. What is that smell?" Heidi's nose scrunched up. It was both a response to the smell of cigarette still wafting through the air and that girl over there looked like she needed a shower.

Mark stepped backwards and scooted a little closer to the Hunter who questioned his bizarre methods. "Smell that?" he breathed into Kieran's ear, side by side with the guy. Up close, Mark smelled someone had made a completely futile effort to mask the overwhelming smell of dirt, plants, blood, smoke, and body odor with a few pitiful drops of cheap cologne. So, basically, pretty terrible. "That's what it smells like when you're away for so long on a mission to uncharted territory you almost forget clean water exists. That's the smell of victory, son." Ok maybe that was a little bit of an exaggeration. But Em was definitely hot enough to warrant a stop to all that, so he just sort of glided back to where he'd been and twirled James Dean thoughtfully in hand, still without a charge. "Name's Mark. Don't believe I have your.number?" He thought long and hard about playing a little bit of grab-a**, but it was not to be. He could, however, still save the day (and maybe score a little before the inevitable mission?). Mark quickly procured one last slightly squashed cigarette from the box in his pocket and tried to discreetly slip it to Em with a very obvious wink.

All of a sudden, there was a very willing new candidate trying out terrible pick-up lines on her. Her head ducked so she could look at him seductively through her eyelashes, and she gave him her sweetest smile anyway. "You don't need my number, sugar. We can go spend some time together right now, if you- ohhh."
The smell hit her, and she winced, pulling the lapel of her hunter coat over her nose. "Okay, not now.. maybe.. later. Tonight. After you've taken a shower. Yeaaah."
She slipped her hand against his, stealthily taking the cigarette - stink or not, she wasn't about to turn it down. Despite still covering her face with her jacket, she gave him a wink.
Em could ignore some things for sex. A smell that pungent was not one of them.

At Em's words, Henry just smiled and replied, "Why ask for what comes so very naturally, not to mention often, my dear..." After shooting Mark a look full of dissapppointment and betrayal, Velda scowled and cleared her throat, interrupting whatever other innuendos were about to slip off her assistant's tongue, "We need to finish packing, you can finish this if you survive." Pale blue eyes slid to the rest of the hunters, "Prepare for WCS."Well that was a bit of dampener, and not the fun kind that led to wet t-shirts. Without another word she turned around and began walking off, Henry trailing behind after shooting the group a sardonic look. Her soft voice slowly fading in the distance, "Have you seen Caelius, Henry? There's something I need to ask him about..." When the hunters went to their rooms later, a few would find odd, familiar trinkets carefully placed by their doors. unusual feathers, pretty stones, colourful ribbons, curious little ornaments. There would be no note, but most would know them for as unspoken wish. Good luck.

Selena scoffed, freezing up a little. She'd...Gotten herself something at the airport, but living through gifting something to the Velda Altar was better than the alternative. "Of course," the brunet waved a hand, arms brushing her ridiculous senshi bow. "But it's back in my room. I'll leave it by your office." She waved as Henry and Velda vanished, wary of her parting words. There was nothing worse on this earth than honest to goodness hard work. She and C shared that ideal in common, at least.

Entering :: Serenade Daae ( Damn my time zone, I wake up and four pages have passed? FLM! OTL )
Serenade was back home and to be honest it felt rather surreal. She was planning to head to her dorm in a little while, but for now she was wandering down memory lane, reliving her first few months as a trainee. Not much had changed by the look of it, the faces might have been different but that did not matter, afterall she had not really taken the times to get to know the old ones anyway. Even back then she did not really like talking to people, her memories were of hard work and training, not of friends.
The training grounds was her favourite haunt once upon a time, she spent countless hours here perfecting her skills or just letting off steam. She rested a hand on the ground for a moment, wondering how much of her own blood, sweat and tears had sunk into it. Man, it felt so long ago. She closed her eyes and sighed, even though she had progressed since then she sometimes missed the good old days, she enjoyed her training.
Serenade stood up straight, resting a hand on her hips the mist hunter looked at the others that had already come here, it was niave to think she would be on her own - this call back must have been bigger than she first predicted...

((Entering -- Jeremy "Remy" Sloane))Remy hated the holidays. ...Hate might not be the best term. Remy utterly ******** despised the holidays. There was the damnable week between Christmas and the New Year that she really loathed. The week where most everyone seemed to linger in some sort of ' oh ******** it, it's almost the New Year, I don't really need to keep on my toes and it's okay if I drink all the goddamn time or sleep in until noon, nobody really cares' mindset. Remy cared. Remy cared a lot. This was not some sort of a**-grabbing contest. They were ******** hunters, and they had ******** responsibilities. Painting fingernails? Smoking? This was bullshit. Or maybe Remy was just butthurt that Em appeared to be slithering over five or six men. This was bullshit.Remy did her best to appear unconcerned with ... whatever was going on over there, instead focusing on recharging her weapons as she waited for Reuben. The oaf had been told to meet her here at a certain time, and as usual, Reuben was late. Or maybe Remy was just early. Whatever. Tossing her hat to the ground, Remy shoved her hair into a haphazard ponytail before tending to her chains.

((Entering!))
What was the goddamn point in recalling them all so ******** early? What couldn't wait a few more hours so he could've properly finished off everything he was doing? The buzz of the other Hunters' presence was a highly unwanted irritation. Eid couldn't stand being in the dorms with them, with someone ******** humming behind every door, banging on every walll or floor or even ceiling because they were all crazy.
He was crazy too. Difference was, he knew it. And he ******** managed it.
Right now, 'managing it' involved going to the training grounds and punching the ******** out of some dummy. Preferably training, though if a suitable secondary target presented itself he wasn't going to say no. The big man stalked past the other Hunters present - good, at least some of them weren't laying on their asses talking about feelings - and picked out a dummy, slipping a pair of perfectly ordinary brass knuckles out of his pockets. He wasn't going to waste his actual weapons on training.
Then he slipped into a fighting stance and delivered a powerful left hook to the waiting target.
((Eid is grumpy but you can still talk to him! Please do, in fact! smile ))

"What party? I don't remember planning a party." Lowe was pretty sure he hadn't suggested something like a party or had even given away a hint that he might be interested in a party. Parties were something he'd never particularly been interested in anyway and the voice in his head was a bit disapproving of it all. They should be enjoying a party.
SHE OBVIOUSLY WANTS TO GET WITH YOU. DO NOT PASS THIS UP.
She obviously wants to get with all males, Afzal. Do you not notice that?
ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE NOT GAY?
Burn in hell, Afzal.
"You're welcome in my room though if you'd like?" He had no idea why she'd want to come into his room - it was empty and not the least bit interesting. Lowe kept few things in his room, most was scattered around the complex. "Also, to answer, I'm in the Sun Division." Currently he might have been one of the younger ones in there, actually.

(Reuben entering the field)Reuben had been working on something important. At least to him. Writing a sloppy, misspelled note to someone that would never receive it and of course the note was tucked away in drawer of his desk with all the other notes when he was done. He wrote them because they made him feel better it was like getting his feelings on paper even if he never gave the note to anyone it wasn't until he'd finished the note that he'd noted the time.
"Aw, she'iiit," he grumbled under his breath, "Remy gon' hav' m'hide."
Kon gave a boisterous laugh that made the large bearded man give a small growl as he stood up, tossed on his coat and made his way down to the training fields with a nice quick lumbering pace. She was going to murder him he just knew it.
"Deader'n roadkill, I am," he mumbled as he ran a large hand over his hair. It didn't take him too long before he arrived on the field and was quick to locate Remy.
He put on his wide smile as he wandered up to her, "Hey Darlin'! Sorry I'm late, I was just doin' m'writtin' for th' day. I'm done now." So proud that he wrote stuff today. So, so proud.

Remy grunted and turned to give Reuben a glare. Well, it was almost a glare. It truly was difficult to be sour at the man, and in all honesty Remy had never met a man she liked more. She wasn't a feminist, really, and usually enjoyed hanging out with the guys... but when men started thinking with their dicks Remy tended to lose a lot of respect for them. To date, Reuben hadn't had that issue, which was one of the reasons that Remy appreciated him. "You must've been busy, I'm sure, with them little things you write," she grunted again, fussing with her chains. Despite the fact that she was a runic hunter and Reuben was a fear hunter, they still got along on a personal level. Remy didn't even seem to mind the fact that he'd called her by a pet name. Remy hated pet names. Sending another seething glare in Em's direction, Remy snorted and dusted off her hands before reaching for her hat that rested nearby, jamming the stained and disgusting thing back onto her head. She gave a fleeting glance at a nearby hunter that was taking his aggression out on a hapless dummy; Remy was simply glad that there was at least one other person who appeared interested in training. With yet another grunt, Remy turned her attention back to Reuben. Clapping him fondly on the shoulder, she jerked her chin at her chains before lifting her gaze to meet his. "You ain't too late, anyway. I just got here myself. Guess the training grounds're the new place to troll for a**, from the looks of it."

((Entering - Stephen Hicks))Like many of the hunters present, Stephen Hicks was royally pissed off. Dusty blonde hair was cropped short, his thick, uneven eyebrows fixed into a permanent scowl over his hard-edged features. Being back on the island brought back too many old memories, things the guy would rather not think about. He had been adventurous once, excited, ready to kick some Halloween a** with his new comrades. And now he had to resist the urge to spit on the ground as he strode through the tents, those feelings had been immature, naive, downright stupid. Many of the faces he saw now reflected his own mood, although some were still fooling themselves with fun and flirting. Sure, Stephen had done his own share of flirting back when he was young and brainless. But he had grown out of it in a big hurry. Now he put his attentions towards more important things like survival. With a scowl he wandered over to where some hunters were practising something other than wagging their tongues around. It was as good a way to spend the time as any. He stood nearby, expressionless, and watched another hunter make short work out of his target with a pair of brass knuckles.

Lex tried to keep himself composed and not let on just how much Cody's talk of a very particular part (or set) of Becca's anatomy was amusing him. Which Mordy was not helping with in the slightest, agreeing with Cody completely and adding a few things in wistfully. Yeah no. He was doomed from the moment Cody appeared. The mist hunter chuckled, flashing the other man a grin. That turned into a snickered laugh when Cody expected a hug.
"Librarian. You are a moron." He said cheerfully. "And sorry, buddy. Pretty sure there are prettier girls than you."
::I think you should be more like Cody, Lexington. Try and...'reacquaint' yourself with the 'twins'. If only for my pleasure at seeing your a** handed to you by the lovely Becca.::
It had to be a hellhound thing. Or maybe he was just the poor unfortunate soul to get stuck with said hellhound.
"Oh quit yer whining! You sound like a little girl." Lex said cheekily, slinging an arm casually around Cody's shoulders to regard their fellow mist hunter. He also helpfully made sure that Cody did not actually lunge and latch on to Becca. At least not yet, anyways. Maybe later he'd just watch. And laugh.
Lex gave a mock gasp, and a sorrowful look towards Cody. "She wounds us! How dare she bunch me in with your childish behavior." He paused. "Though life is just not as exciting without it." He added, a little bit of sincerity in his words. They were, after all, the only two people he'd formed a sort of bond with. And cared for, even if it was not common among hunters. Becca and Cody were the closest thing to family he'd ever have again.
: razz lease tell me you are not going to go mushy on me? It'll be so embarrassing.::
He shrugged at Becca, a more serious expression forming. "We lose too much being a hunter. My personality is the only thing that is truly mine to keep from changing."

It is likely Reuben is too stupid to have prejudices against others regardless of who they are and what weapons they had that or his heart was too big for even his broad chest to contain hatred at least not toward his fellow Hunters.
He wore his smile with pride as he nodded his head, "Yep! Gotta write 'em or else m'head gets too full'a things," the idea that his head got full of anything at all was probably laughable to some. Reuben nodded and was about to respond until the last part of Remy's comment got noticed and his expression turned a bit confused and then embarrassed, "Aw, gee," he rumbled softly as he focused his gaze down at Remy, "this ain't no place t'get yerself a lov'r."
This whole place was not a love fest as far as he was concerned.
A gaze was sent toward the other large man in the area as he started to get ready to wail on a dummy, "This guy. He got the right idea," he gestured toward them.

No, this was no place to find a lover. Reuben had that much right. Perhaps it was even why Remy was feeling so upset with herself. Her previous ... indiscretions ... with Em had Remy feeling a little self-disgust at her moment of weakness and not because she'd done what she'd done. She'd always felt attracted to Em, ever since their first meeting. There was just something so innately graceful and alluring about the woman, and Remy had -- goddamn it. Goddamn it.Hello, jealousy. Hello, feelings. Gritting her teeth, Remy exhaled loudly. "Yeah. The right ******** idea." That being said, Remy retrieved her chains and set them into the loops that secured them on either side of her hips before moving tensely towards the sparring dummies. "You just gonna stand there doing nothing, Reuben? Or we gonna beat the s**t out of some worthless dummies?"
