Alexandra looked at her and watched her for a moment or two. "Do you really?" She asked with a questionable tone of voice. It seemed odd to her that suddenly the vixen was agreeing with her when she wasn't before. "Does that feel better now?"

“Not entirely.“ May admitted. “But I do start to understand the basics well enough that I think when I mull it over latter I’ll understand it a bit more.” She smiled at Alex. She supposed this seemed a bit strange to the other fox but this was simply how she was. Once she started to understand something she would tuck it away and think hard on it latter trying to understand it even more. Nodding she got up slowly. “Yes that feels much better I feel like most of the muck is off now. Just one thing left to do.” Taking a deep breath she plunge herself completely into the river so that the water might wash off the muck from her ears and face. She shook her head a bit to make sure it would before rising up for air.

"Alright if you say so,"Alex said not really sure of how to answer her. It was definitely an answer she wasn't expecting which she supposed was a good thing. Breaking the norm and all. "Glad we've got you all cleaned up. Now you dont have to worry about smelling or having it stuck and dried into your fur."

“Stuck I could handle, I just don’t think I could handle the smell all that well.” Making a face she looked at Alex before smiling. “Thank you again Alex. I’m so glad I ran into you and no someone mean or scary.” She walked up onto the shore and gave herself bit of distance so that she could shake off. She ended up looking like a puff ball.

"Yeah but wouldn't it have smelled worse once it was dry and you were in the heat?" Alexandra asked as she thought about how some things smelt worse in the heat. She smiled at May, "Not a problem. Though I doubt anyone would hurt you. Your so cute you know."

“oh ewww.. your right. It would have smelled bad wet, but it would gotten even worse in the heat.” May shook her head glad to be rid of the slime. She blushed when Alexandra called her cute. She stared blinking at the other vixen not sure what to say. Her fur was a slight shade darker than normal and she opened her mouth to say thank you and couldn’t find the words. Closing her mouth she looked down at her paws so embarrassed. How could a fox as sweet as Alex call her cute? Didn’t she know that she was infinitely cuter than May?

It took Alexandra a moment to realize that she had embarrassed May. Though she wasn't sure if that was a good a or bad thing. She cleared her throat as if she had something caught in it while her mind raced to come up with something to break the awkwardness. "Maybe we should get out of the water so our pads wont be too sensitive to the rocks and thorns on the ground."

[Nodding May headed to the shore still fumbling for words in her mind. It seemed impossible to pull any out when she was like this. Still she figured she should at least say something. After all Alex had done so much for her and was so very kind. She wished there was something that she could do to make Alex’s day. “um. Alex. T-thank you. I was wondering.” She tried to come up with something anything at all. “Are you hungry?” It was so lame May wanted to dig a hole and hide in it.

Alexandra slowly made her way behind May making sure not to step on a slime covered rock and fall face first. How embarrassing would that be if she did that in front of such a cutie? Just as Alex reached land and shook off May had asked if they wanted to find something to eat she was about to decline but than her stomach yelled at her reminding her that's how she had stumbled upon May in the first place. Smiling she said "Yeah I could go for something to eat."

Feeling her ears perk up with some excitement May looked at the green vixen. “I don’t know what’s around this area to eat but I’d be happy to help you hunt if you’d like.” May wasn’t exactly the worlds best hunter but she was willing to try hard to help Alex get something tasty to eat. It wasn’t that May’s form for hunting was bad or anything like that. In fact she had perfect form and was a stealthy hunter. The problem came to the actual kill. May just couldn’t find it in herself to kill an animal to feed herself. She’d rather let it go.

Alexandra smiled at her suggestion. "That would be great. I don't know the area either and it would be hard to search for food by myself but with the extra help I'm sure we could find something to fill up our belly's." she said happily with her tail wagging.

A huge grin spread out on May’s face. She like to be helpful. “Alright then. Let’s see what we can find out here in this area.” She stopped and listened. Rather than trying to locate something to hunt with her nose. This place was too new and to strange for her to try and pick out the smell of something to eat. The water rushing near was too loud for May to locate anything with sound though. “Maybe we could try away from the river. I can’t hear anything over it.”

Alex smiled, "Sure not a problem. They are wonderful things rivers but they can be deafening that's for sure." She than began to walk back into the woods. She was amazed how the trees lived with everything so swampy.

Following Alex quietly she had to admit the other vixen was right. Rivers were amazing and beautiful but it was detriment to the way she hunted to be near them. Carefully picking her footing she was glad that she’d had some practice in the swampy lands the past few days so she didn’t find a sink hole by accident or something. She had her ears perked up and could now hear the sounds of living things around her.

Alexandra carefully weaved her way in and out between the trees. She had plenty of practices on not stepping on things since her parents were in a tribe where lots of plants and trees were holly to the tribe and called for the up most care when dealing with them.
