"Roch, don't think like that," Taryn said, fork hovering over her plate. Comforting a friend was much more important than lunch. "If it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be. You didn't abuse anyone. I think you needed it. Don't worry about what's been done, worry about the future." She then realized that Roch's odd comment might have been self-loathing alone and nothing regarding logic.

He snorted, shrugging lightly. "Haven't met one yet," he said. "But oh well, I'm goin' back to dating Desiree. Me and her have a hell of a good time together, and I don't have to worry about other boils. But..." He played with his food for a bit. "Can I at least get a hug?" he asked her.

Oh. Oh, right. Taryn sighed, face all mushed up in concern for Roch. She opened her arms for a hug, as if letting him sleep in her bed hadn't been enough.

He got up and crossed over to her, dropping on the couch next to her and hauling her into the hug he'd been NOT planning to let himself get. "Sorry," he muttered against her neck. "It just... really sucks. All of it sucks. I wasted so many jackin' months on this, when I coulda been getting hugs like this, or..."
Well for the most part he'd done whatever the hell he'd wanted, even when chasing Xiu. "You smell good," he said after a second. "Hey... what's your natural form look like?" he asked, but he wasn't pulling away like he should have been.

"I know it does," Taryn sighed, leaning her chin on Roch's head and inhaling his scent. Abigail curled around Roch as well, resting like a rope against his back. The question asked, however, threw both host and tail. That was one distinct difference between reapers and monsters... monsters were someone else. Beneath their flesh and their smiles there was something horrifying. Taryn was really feeling the difference right now.
"Um... like a lion... with a goat head on my back... and Abigail, but... Abigail only exists in this form, usually it's just me..."

"Are you huge?" he asked, pulling back with a hint of excitement. "Can I see it sometime?" he went on, looking as if he was going to drag her somewhere she could show him.

Oh my...
"Not right now... it's bigger than... clothes will, um. Bigger than clothes will allow..." Normally, Taryn wouldn't mind. Seeing a monster naked and seeing a school-form naked were two very different things. Still, she had been raised mostly in this form, and nudity seemed... wrong. Especially with Roch. She'd have to find something... "Some day?"

"Yeah," he said, grinning. "Sometime, I definitely want to see it. I'm going to hold you to it, got it?" he said. Hugs were good. Hugs and images of huge monster forms were better. "Thanks, I feel better now," he said, hopping to his feet and heading to the other side of the table to wolf down his food. "Are you tall? Like, as tall as me? Or are you like, waist high at the shoulders or something?"

"What? No..." Taryn replied, looking toward Roch and then turning back to her food. It was embarrassing to talk about herself... "I'm, um. I'm quadripedal. I'm about... yay high." She held her hand up at an approximation of her own shoulder-height in her natural form. She was just about at the same height as an average lion.
"Or, um..." she heightened her hand, "My middle head is here, but I don't think head and neck counts... I've still got a ways to go..." It seemed as if she might think that was a diminutive stature.

He wanted to see it. He was clearly picturing it. "So... I owe you for letting me use your bed for so long, then feeding me. That should make me yours for the day, if you want! Want to try golf again? Or go shopping? Or what?"

"I think I owe you a baking lesson, don't I?" Taryn asked, tilting her head and taking her and Roch's plates to clean up, "I also owe you a huge cake. You beat me at golf..." Hmm, what else was there?
"We could go on a walk... go to the maul, I guess, but there's not a whole not to do there." As if she actually knew.

"Well... why don't we go out on the town?" he said. "We'll run around, checking out the sights, looking for new stuff to do! I bet we can find a heck of a lot!" And hugs and panty shots--no, man, he needed to get out of the room for sure. "What do you say?"

'Out on the town' sounded a lot more exciting than it was. Taryn had been out plenty of times and had never found anything particular interesting to do. Granted, she had company this time, and clearly said company wanted to leave.
"Sure! I'm sure we'll find something..." the ghoul said, drying the dishes and setting them aside. "Just let me get my coat..."

He waited for her, going to the door and reaching up to touch his hair. "Taryn? You ah... got any hair gel?" he asked belatedly. His hair was a mess--he couldn't believe he'd gone out of his room with it like this.
