Dythus sighed and turned away, he saw that he was truly alone now as the only people he'd ever known in his entire life had left. Dythus' red eyes seemed to glow as his hood remained over his head, he knew he'd be traveling with these people, yet he hadn't shown him face to any of them. "Maybe not...I don't need to show myself." Dythus drew his blade threw threw it before catching it with his ability, he learned a bit of magic from Asha so a sword this light was child's play, not even enough of a strain to make him worry. He knew his ability only extended to things that were light like one hundred pounds or so. After spinning the blade in enough circles he turned back to the others, sheathing his blade with his telekinesis amazingly, he couldn't see the sheathe itself so he perfected putting the blade away in his own time. Ziza didn't seem like a person he couldn't really hate, but he disliked her upbeat nature, his natural calm clashed with that kind of personality.

Dythus put his shield back over his sheathe which resided on his back, he didn't know why he wore his weapons like this, but he preferred to get his weapon from his back rather than side so he is less easily disarmed before the fighting starts. He hardly payed any attention to Ziza though, he was lost in his own thoughts, a maelstrom of unending opinions on the people he'd be working with. "You like to talk a lot, don't you?" Dythus would choose action over words any day, he now saw the differences between him and her now. "You did make several good points though..." He said, smiling, but his hood obscured his face still, he wondered how long he could keep his face hidden from others, maybe make a game out of it. He went back to being pretty silent, unlike Ziza talking bored him, maybe she only talked so much, and so well because of the fact she was a merchant, bartering did take a fair amount of skill with words. He sat on the ground and his robe was pulled back far enough to show that he wore black greaves, and possibly completely black, light armor. Unlike his shield the symbol on his armor was that carried by swordsmen, not the Githzerai.

All the black that Dythus was wearing continued to add to the 'I don't want to be known' facade he carried. His armor had a white trim, or at least his greaves, which was the only other thing people could see besides his robe. The contrasting colors were odd, having black and white armor symbolized something that wasn't know about him. He placed his hands on the ground while he sat there, revealing that his gauntlets were clawed instead of having a regular shape. The light armor didn't restrict his movements like medium or heavy armor, which is why he liekd it. Being an elf he liked having free movement, without it he felt kind of odd. Though he was already odd, in so many ways. Dythus had seemed to have calmed down since talking to Noctis, back to feeling and speaking like ice, like his eyes he had to warmness of a dry ice cube and the friendship capabilities of a dragon, meaning none at all, or at least that is what he wanted people to think about him.

King Moriate

Things had finally cooled down, and the Sprite Ziza had answered his question. It was by far his favorite answer out of all of the volunteers, and the fact that she spoke her motives plainly was something the king appreciated. His voice was calm and welcoming as he said to her, "Thank you for your truthfulness. Please take good care of my daughter. You will be the only other female of the group, it seems, so could I hope that you will become a friend to her, as well?" Moriate was glad that there would be at least one other female in the group, albeit not human, to keep Eleanor company.

Five had volunteered their services. They would leave in the morn, but first... "Tonight there will be a farewell banquet for the brave souls who will accompany Princess Eleanor to the land of the Elves. May it be a joyous celebration!" With that, he turned and exited the room, a signal for those remaining that it was their cue to leave as well.

Moriate had to find Eleanor and discuss certain issues with her. He knew she would be in the garden. As he walked down the hall, he spotted Asura the Golem and Noctis speaking near the entrance to the garden. As he passed the two, he said to Noctis, "Keep a fair distance. I must speak with my daughter in privacy." Entering the garden, he approached her, and held his hand out to her. "Will you walk with me, Abby?" Abby was his own nickname for her, after her middle name. He was the only one to use it, and he used it only in private. Eleanor's mother had given her her middle name, Abigail, before she had succumbed to her weak body. His daughter's mind was occupied, and he knew that she was troubled. He would try to answer any questions or concerns she had, if he could.

Voices rose in the garden and it took her away from her thoughts. Eleanor looked to see the large golem as well as Noctis. They were at a good distance so she could not hear their conversation though she figured it had to do with the issue with her personal bodyguard and that Vincent fellow. It would be a great waste on her fathers part if they all continued to argue on the way to the Elven lands but worse would be if her life was ended before she got to her place. Once more she thought that she was not so important to do all this but she did understand what kind of symbol she was. Singing, she twiddled with her thumbs until she heard someone approaching. For a moment she figured it was Noctis but when she looked up, she saw that it was her father. With his hand extended out, she slowly took kit and joined him in the walk he spoke of.

"Is there something you wish to talk about father?" She said glancing up at him before looking at the floor as they walked across the garden. Honestly, she wasn't in a big mood to talk about anything going on in her head, but she really just wanted to go to her room and take a nap, though she knew she would have to dress her best for the celebration and getting ready would take a couple hours. The thought of all that time made her frown but it was a joyous one so she would not ruin it for her father.

Vincent Cryssagrim

Vincent bowed once more upon the king giving his permission for him to join. The cogs were setting in motion for his ultimate plan. But, that would all come in due time, for now he would have to keep to his oath of servitude to the princess. A millennium ago, if he would've been told he'd have to do this, he'd have killed the messenger. His royal class ideology still had him gripped in a stranglehold, making him feel above, or too good to actually work. Enlisting in the military, and being outcast certainly changed those perspectives.

Rather self-righteous, for a sprite. Vincent thought to himself, as he listened to the girl's explanation for volunteering for this quest. However, Vincent could see through the lines of her justification speech. She was in it for money, and she even made it clear that's all she wanted, whether Moriate picked up on that or not. The first thing she mentions, being a reward, she hates what the Gith do to people, because it hurts profits, quite funny really. But, Vincent wasn't one to question other's motives, as his weren't so pure to tell the truth.

At the mention of a feast, Vincent caught off guard, to say the least. He had assumed they would be leaving after the guardians had been chosen. Whatever the case it did not affect anything concerning him, this merely gave him some time to re cooperate, and if he was feeling up to it, then perhaps he would try to learn more of his companions. But, he was getting ahead of himself, the feast wasn't until later on that night, and it was still morning. So until then he would have to find a way to entertain himself, music. As Vincent exited the hall he slowly hummed to himself, ignoring what Dythus had said to Ziza. No matter, as it too did not concern him, or anything he was interested in.

Just as he exited the hall he slipped back into concentration for a mere moment as he passed the Githzerai girl, of whom Dythus spoke of earlier. He halted where he stood, glaring at her with an intensity that would burn a hole through the very walls around them if it were a projectile. "Izdajnik" He said to her in his native tongue, briefly holding his palm up to show her the emblazoned symbol located on it. After doing so, he made his exit, now in not such a merry mood.

No matter for he was soon, delighted as ever once more, as he reached the room he had rented in Sorl's main inn. "The Dancing Imp" it was called. It wasn't too much considering how good of quality it was supposed to be, and was. Vincent decided he would remain there, until the feast began, presumably once evening began. As he entered the room he closed the door behind him, and unlocked the chest in which the innkeeper had supplied him with. The contents of which had not been revealed to any of the others residing there. At least until now. For within the chest, was a polished, and finely kept, violin. Vincent's vice, he loved to play, and listen to others play this instrument. He rubbed a the top of the violin with a cloth, to clean it a bit more, then proceeded to play.

(( We are time skipping to the feast after everyone has their respective conversations. So try to finish those quickly. ))

Noctis Lance Cypher

Noctis followed Asura in silence, letting him say what he wanted to say. But the more and more Asura spoke, the more Noctis was unsure of, well, many things. For one, Asura did not seem like the violence-bound giant Noctis had perceived him, and he also began to question just how Asura ticked. As he said, No one person can represent an entire species, but an entire species cannot be condensed into one person, either. Noctis also wondered if Asura was trying to cheer him up or trying to point out his flaws; He kept zig-zagging between telling Noctis was right and Noctis was being stupid. So much was said, he wasn't really sure how to respond. Only when Asura pointed out where the Princess was did Noctis actually think of something to say, but before Noctis could go meet the Princess, the king came out of no where, and told Noctis to stay a good distance away. "Y-yes, M'lord..." He stood and watch the king and the Princess walk though the gardens. Noctis followed a few yards behind, unable to hear what they were saying but close enough keep an eye on them. He held his spear in his hands, but used it like a walking stick. He didn't try to listen in on the King and princess; instead, Noctis focused on the surroundings; if there was any sort of assassins near-by, Noctis wanted to be ready for them. And even if there wasn't, it was good to train his senses.

Ziza Recette

Once the King left, Ziza, let out a breath of air. When talking, there are two ways a merchant can do it; say the exact things that the person wants to hear, or say so much that he just says yes once you stop. She looked around, noticing that almost everyone was gone now. All but the elf, Dythus. Ziza thought about what to do; she could try to just leave and head back to the Recettear, or maybe she could tour around the castle for a bit. But then again, Dythus was going to travel with her now. Why not use this opprotunity to discover something about her future partner? Seeing that she had nothing else important to do for the moment, Ziza walked over to Dythus. She stood a good two feet away from him in case he had space issues, but Ziza still wanted to make her presence noticed.

"Hello, Dythus. I must say, you're quite skilled with a sword and magic. I mostly rely on others for muscle, but I to am learning the art of the sword. Two swords, actually." Ziza circled around the lone Elf. She looked at his clothing, his shield, and his sword; He was certainly a quick fighter, not one who would stand and take blow after blow. His clothing was almost all black, other then some white trimming, giving him a "Dark and Brooding" persona, which isn't too uncommon among others. Plenty of men want to be mysterious, so they wear all black and hope that others would come to question them, only to be shot down. The White was a bit clashing, but only because there was no other colors to accommodate. The Shield bared the emblem that is of the Githzerai, which made her curios to why Dythus had such loyalties to them. "And like the others, you seem very capable of taking care of yourself in a fight. And while I'm no slouch either, I do have some issues when in close range. So... If you don't mind, do you think you can train me while we wait for this "Feast"?" Ziza figured she could find out more about Dythus, not though conversation, but though battle; with it, she can find out if he's can be angered easily, a patience person, arrogant, and many other things. Life on the road has though he to read the moment of others to find out their motives; every costumer could also be a robber, and even a lowly beggar could be a deadly assassin. Ziza walked away from Dythus about ten yards, before turning and facing his back.

Dythus examined Ziza before standing to his feet and shrugging. "I can only lift around one hundred pounds with magic...if I try anymore I can maybe pull it, but it's too much of a strain to try." Dythus explained before nodding. "Ah, the way of the sword is an excellent path to follow, though...every strength has a weakness to go with it." Dythus thought for a second. "With two swords you obviously have more speed and more manuverability than any other opponent, but you can't stave off blows or guard against them at all because you won't have the strength needed to guard with one arm and one sword, the most you'll get is stabbed." He was at an advantage with a shield, but he wouldn't have her manuverability, so if she could spot weak points then she'd do well in their training session. "I don't wear this during training however so this may be the first and last time you get a look at me." Dythus said as he took off his robe, his black armor glinting in the light like polished ebony.

His perfect white hair came almost completely over his eyes, but he pushed it away so he could see better with his burning scarlet eyes. His hair actually reached his neck in the back due to him never finding the time to cut it all the way down, he just left it at a medium-length after trying to cut it short. His features were almost flawless, excluding the battle-worn expression he normally wore and couldn't get rid of. His face was very young-looking, he almost looked female due to the way his face was shaped, but up close one could easily tell the difference between him and another, he just looked too young for being twenty. A small flaw in his skin was the scar that trailed from the bottom of his right eye to his cheek, caused by humans. He drew his blade and shield before examining the area he was fighting in, plenty of room to move around in so they wouldn't destroy anything, and they could work on their movement even though it would be a battle at close range. "Let's get to work, I'll try to show you what I know about fighting at such a close range, I won't use any powers against you so don't worry about that." Dythus said with a small smile, his voice sounding a bit less cold.

His stance wasn't tense like when he trained with his own master, it was loose, he had a completely flawless version of the stance his master showed him to match his weakness, by refining his techniques he gained the skill he needed to become an expert swordsman. "I'll allow you the first move as to give you an edge over this fight, first blow seals the deal, no matter how you get it the fight will end in your favor if you are diligent enough." Dythus explained. "If you kick sand in to your enemy's eyes they've lost, if you cut their arm they become distracted and you are certain to hit them again, only those fueled by rage won't be foiled by distractions." Dythus was already moving, he was making very tiny movements so he wouldn't be stuck in one place, it was her job to follow along...and learn from their session what she could.

"Since this is just a training session we'll take it easy, but not too easy, we don't want to dull your reflexes." If she had already had enough training sessions with somebody who knew how to fight then she'd know that the first move was not the advantage gain, but the first strike as Dythus had explained. "And if you don't mind...let us move quickly, I don't like people staring at my face, that's the reason for my black cloak."

King Moriate

As they wandered the garden, he didn't speak for several minutes. And when he did, he said, "You are becoming more and more like your mother. You act more like her, look more like her, and even sound more like her, each and every day." If Abby was as similar to Cassandra as Moriate saw, then she might have also inherited his wife's gifts. But he couldn't tell her anything of it. It was something she would have to figure out on her own, as her mother had had to. But she would be all the more stronger because of it. But the king was sad he wouldn't be able to see them bloom, because it was a beautiful sight.

Turning to her, he noted, "You are troubled by something, are you not? You seem to be out of sorts." Sending her away had been the last resort. He wouldn't be able to spare himself, but if his daughter could survive, then there would always be hope. Not only for the kingdom, but for his bloodline. He may not have had a son, but he still had an heir, and through Eleanor, the kingdom would thrive. Moriate only hope that she understood as well.

Moriate wouldn't survive. He already knew this. He would fight to his best ability, but chances of survival were slim. His soldiers knew this. They fought to protect their families. But the Gith army was vast, and very powerful. The best victory would be if someone lived, in this case Eleanor, to bring the kingdom out of chaos, which would no doubt come. So many counted on it.

When her father said she was looking more like her mother and sorts like that, it made her feel a bit sad but happy as well. Though of course she still always wondered what her mother was like and she always felt that there was something special about her mother, something beyond special. Eleanor didn't put much thought into it however and simply continued walking along the hedges and flowers, some that continued to bloom. He pointed out that something was troubling her and she knew that she couldn't lie to him, because she was a terrible liar in front of her father. If it was someone else, she could lie with ease and she could put up a great mask.

A frown formed on her face as she sighed and looked down at the floor. "Of course something is troubling you father. Imagine you were in my shoes. Imagine I was sending you away while I stayed to fight in a war where my chances of death was high." Eleanor wasn't stupid, she knew that her father could die and that chance of death was high. It pained her to think that today would be the last time she would see him, though she prayed with all her might that God would protect and watch over him. Eleanor looked at him and continued, "I do not like the idea of leaving with you here or losing you. I know I'm old enough to take care of myself, but what child wants their father or mother in harms way. I am simply worried father, but I understand why I am doing this. I will do what you wish for me to do even if it means I will lose you." Eleanor smiled softly at him though her heart was in pain.

She didn't want to make the conversation become a sorrow filled one so she slipped her arm away from her fathers and smiled, "I have to go get read for the feast. It takes an awful long time for them to dress you. I will see you soon father." She leaned up and placed a small kiss on his cheek before running out of the garden and ran all the way to her room where her maids waited to dress her.

Ziza Recette

Ziza nodded and smiled. She cracked her neck and let a small bit of magic run though her fingers towards her rings, summoning her Butterfly Swords. "Duthus seems to be a bit more sociable when it comes to fighting. Hmph, men and warfare; it's the only things they all an find pleasure in. But then again, Dythus looks almost female. Common amoung elves, but he does seem very... Attractive. Heh he." Kami spun her blades in her hands, to get used to their weight. In truth, Kami had fought with her Butterfly Swords many times before, but she never had any formal training with them; she knew many experts would say that the Butterfly Swords should be considered one weapon together, but she still thought of them simply as two swords. Perhaps that is why she gets bested by some of her allies at the Recettear; Jericho, their mercenary weapon expert, has dual wield swords before, and was much better then Ziza, but he didn't give lessons. Ziza took a deep breath, and took her stance; her left arm down, pointing the blade upwards, and her right elbow bent with the blade pointing forward. It was the stance that Ziza saw Jericho use; a simple stance for stabs and slices, which can be flowed easily to a defensive position for parrying and counter jabs. But as Dythus did mention before, dual weapons where not the best for blocking the main brunt of a heavy blow the same way a shield or broad sword would.

Ziza took another breath, to calm her nerves. "I don't see why you should hide your face. Though it's such a beauty, I might get distracted by it in our session." She winked, then lunge; right before she would run into him, Ziza took a quick step out and faced Dythus back. In quick succession, she thrust her forward blade towards one of his armor straps and shifted her rear blade into a defensive position, ready to follow up with another strike or parry depending on what Dythus does.

Asura Hecatoncheires
After seeing Noctis guard the King and Princess, Asura walked away from the gardens. He hopes that Noctis would take his words to heart, and leave the worrying of others to Asura. "Noctis's words spoke greatly on how I think of the others. If only he knew how to keep his words to himself, perhaps the tension would be lesser then it shouldn't have to be." Asura himself had some very critical opinions on his allies. "Despite everyone's thoughts on him, Vincent does seems to the the schemer type. If vengeance drives him, I can only hope that he can put aside that vengeance for this mission. And Dythus is either a fanatic spy for the Gith, or a pawn for them. Ziza... I am not sure. I have yet to hear her reasons for joining, but she doesn't seem to have the Princess's best interest in her mind. And even Noctis may be a threat to us; he fancy himself a hero, and with that, he may end up bring with him troubles that do not concern him. Or worse, Noctis will convince himself that his actions are all in the name of justice." Asura sighed. So many flaws amongst his team mates, and he himself had his share of fatal flaws that may bring a threat to them all. "But... With ever flaw comes a solution. For every darkness, there is a light to define it."

As Asura walked back to the throne room, he thought about the positive things that the others could provide. "Vincent may be a rather mysterious person, but his willingness to even do such a thing such as escorting the Princess speaks well about his humility; even should vengeance drive him, he is willing to protect the Princess from the the Gith while planning his plans of action. And Dythus does not seem to be an initially devious elf; he wishes to prove that the Gith are not what most see them to be, just like Vincent. His heart's in the right place. And while Ziza may be a fairy, I'm quite sure that so long they can keep her loyal with the promise of reward, she wouldn't be a threat. Even Noctis has some redeeming qualities, I suppose. He's loyal to the Princess and this kingdom. Out of everyone, he would most likely be the last one to betray the Princess though his own will." Asura kept walking, before stopping and looking around. While he was analyzing his allies, he did not noticed that he took a wrong turn somewhere. He has yet to reach the Throne Room, and was thoroughly lost. "Tyshydeuhc..." Asura cursed in an old tongue; the language in which he spoke many years ago. He wondered around the halls, looking for a way back to the Throne Room.

Dythus shrugged. "So people assume I'm of the Githzerai, when people figure out I'm an elf...well, battle is all I know." He said with a pained voice, before quickly getting back in to the battle. Dythus used his shield and held it diagonally compared to her blows to send them off of his shield, a counter he'd learned worked well so he didn't stop his combat momentum. "Should I wear a mask then?" Dythus asked as her last blow met his unbreakable shield, not a single mark was on it after that. He changed to an offensive stance and his eyes changed, a sharp, almost spine chilling look crossed his face. Though the look on his face induced fear in many when he fought there was something hidden in his expressions and the way he moved. "Ovde i idu, priprema se!" He exclaimed in the language of the Githzerai, what he'd said was "Here I go, prepare yourself!"

Dythus took one quick step forward and placed his feet so he cut off her movement anywhere except backwards if he took a step with her, the only option was retreating for movement. This was of course dangerous because they were pretty close together now, but he had faith in his ability to guard himself. With a swift motion he aimed a strike at her right arm, actually, her weapon. He was aiming to disarm her by striking with a heavy blow, he was so close to her so he could increase the force he could put behind it quickly, while lowering the defensive capabilities he had already. He automatically tried to move his leg, but he remembered not to kick unless he needed to since he was in a weapon fight, using his leg would put him at a serious disadvantage. His disarming strike was as powerful as a speed fighter such as himself could make it, he wondered if he should have used magic to add force to his strike.

Ziza Recette

Ziza pulled her weapon back after it was blocked, but she was in a rut; Dythus had quickly closed the distance and prevented her from flanking him again, leaving her to go only back pedal or risked running into a potential attack. But instead of trying to dodge or block the attack, Ziza hopped into the air, and put both blades in the path of Dythus's sword; she used his force to create distance, sending her a good few feet away from him. She landed lightly onto her feet, but felt a small soreness in her arms. Despite successfully removing herself from close quarters, the blow gave her a minor shock in her arms. But she toughed though the pain, and got back into stance.

"Mask do not suit you, Dythus. It would be better to show your true face then to hide behind fake guises." Ziza flexed her arms in attempts to lose the soreness, then began to run circles around Dythus. She knew that Dythus was better at the defensive on virtue that he had a shield; direct attacks and simple flanking moves were not going to be enough to get past him so long he could move his shield into place. In the middle of her run, she went off an angle and attacked his sword arm; Ziza slashed at his sword arm, but quickly followed up with a stab with her other weapon; if her slash missed, then she was mostly sure that the stab would at least make him move back to avoiding being stabbed in the hand.

"You think so...?" Dythus asked curiously as he watched her movements, she aimed for his arm so he automatically put his shield over it to deflect before noting she was aiming with her other sword. Since his arm was already drawn he just had to swing it and his shield would not only deflect her next attack, but strike her unless she moved away. Bashing opponents with a shield worked well enough to stun them, and when stunned they wouldn't last against his sword. He was really getting in to the battle, he treated it as if it were a real fight and he could die from it.

Dythus also made sure to keep track of everything he could find about Ziza, her movements, body shape which helped him know where to land strikes, even with his eyes closed, speed, strength compared to his...though he found himself slightly distracted. "I think...I like my face when I can't see it, and nobody else can either." Besides Asha, Ziza was the only other one that knew what he looked like. "Anyway, since you've seen it, tell me what you think." Dythus didn't know if he'd actually hit her with the shield, but he did know that his blade hand was free now so he stabbed forward quickly, not with enough force to cause a serious or fatal injury, but enough to scold one for letting their guard down.

As Eleanor made her way to her room, she couldn't help but feel her dislike toward what she would be forced to wear, along with all the make up that would be applied to her face. It always annoyed her how she had to dress up so much just for a couple hours. Before she could even reach her room, Eleanor spotted the big golem that had offered to take her to the Elven lands who was named Asura. Apparently, he was lost since his body language pretty much screamed it out. She stood at the end of the hall watching him wonder and it brought a slight smile to her face but she forced herself not to laugh.

Once she was done amusing herself by watching him, Eleanor decided to go over and offer some assistance. She jogged over to him and spoke clearly like any royal person would, "It is rather hard finding your way around here right? I always told my father that guests would lose themselves in this huge castle." A soft chuckled floated about in the hall and slowly vanished into silence. Without even stopping, she began to tug at his arm, wanting him to follow her. It was clear that she was no regular stuck up Princess from the way she acted. They were very close to the throne room as she simply turned the corner and pointed at the room, "I suppose that is what you are looking for? Call it a hunch I guess. I will see you at the feast!" She chuckled again as she bowed her head to him, something no royal ever did to a commoner but Eleanor was polite to everyone. She was the embodiment of kindness and understanding. Though she had her small doubts, she always tried seeing the best in people. Eleanor certainly wanted to give Vincent a try out of everyone else since almost everyone was suspicious about him.

Eleanor ran past many halls, running past Dythus who was sparing with Ziza and at one point she had ran past Vincent. Finally, she reached her room and went in, the maids quickly dressing her since the feast would start soon.
