He stared at her horn and ears, trying to shake it off. Kumiko noticed and her ears lowered more saying, "I'm sorry that I don't appear as you expected.""Whatever... It's just stupid little things here and there that make you-" He was cut off when Kumiko chimed in,"The stupid little things are apart of me. The horn, the ears, the tail, all of it. If you are too arrogant and think too low of me, then you may take your leave, Roy."It's never a princess act to dismiss a Prince so soon and call his name in an informal matter. He walked up to her and said, glaring, "You have no manners, thing. There's a reason why 'your kind' died off so easily and it's rare to see one." "And it's so common to see your kind. The arrogance, the spoiled mind and the tainted heart you have. I see it in many people who visit the castle. It's so often that it makes me sick."Roy stood up and looked down at her, glaring, "That may be the case, brat but there's still one thing I can do that you cannot. And that's go outside when I please. Without being called a freak or looked without large golden coin bags in their minds when the look at me. I'm loved by all women in my kingdom and your kingdom, they don't even know what you look like. You're the royal family secret and you always will. And if my 'kind' makes you so sick, why not just die off like the rest of those hideous beasts?" Kumiko looked down with her ears lowered, her white hair covering her pale face. What he said was true. People outside don't know what she looked like, kids that were invited to play with her called her a freak, thing and it. "What's wrong? Have nothing else to say? Tcht, pathetic... I will take my leave. Have fun being locked away," Roy chuckled, leaving the room. Kumiko hadn't been told so much. Roy was quick on his words and they were more than brutal to the ears and minds. She started to feel that her birth was really a curse. The Moon Princess held back the tears as she stared at the ground. She moved her left hand to her hidden face and rubbed her left eye. Kumiko was never told to go die off. She walked out saying to Zeke, "I'm going to my room. Please feel free to explore the castle..."She walked off before he could say anything. The tone in her voice was so grim and sorrowful. She thought she had heard everything from the book but apparently she didn't. What the Prince had said, really got to her. Kumiko walked passed the Prince and upstairs to her room. She closed her bedroom door behind her, showing the maids and butlers to leave her be. Kumiko sat down at the thickly stained glass window and looked outside, seeing objects that couldn't be made out. She rubbed her eyes making sure she wouldn't cry. Prince Roy looked up before walking to the door and said smirking, "Pathetic..." ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀

Zeke Redgrave  Zeke had a bad feeling about this the moment he saw this guy. Having to watch him blatantly insult Kumiko just because of her horn and tail almost made him wanna deck the b*****d. She was no monster. Kumiko was the nicest person he'd ever met, even if they didn't know each other long. She was beautiful, kind, accepting, and she didn't deserve the crap Roy or anyone else gave her. Zeke clenched his hands into fists and let out a low growl. He had so much desire to beat Roy within an inch of his life, but that would make him think Kumiko sent him to do so, and it would cause an incidet between the two kingdoms. He didn't want to end up starting a war, but he didn't want to let this guy get away with hurting Kumiko. He walked upstairs to her bedroom door, just to listen in and make sure she was alright. She looked like she was about to bust out crying. Zeke was so pissed at Roy, but he was more pissed that it seemed to hurt Kumiko so much.

She said to herself,"I thought I heard it all... But it seems I haven't... now, I really did."She rested the side of her head against the stain glass window. She sighed and said,"This is a prison, not a palace..."She gave up on rubbing her eyes and just lets the tears run down her face. She saw a blurry figure from the stain glass and figured it was Roy, leaving the Castle. Waiting outside for his ride back home."Words can truly be more hurtful and physical pain."Kumiko brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, berrying her face in her knees, crying silently. Not because she was called hurtful names but because what all Roy said was right. She'd hear stories from her parents that it's hard to find other uni-people or they saw a uni-person in the slave market for so much money. ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀

Zeke Redgrave Zeke heard a bit of what Kumiko said to herself, and he felt awful for his new friend, and he felt pure hate for people like Roy. What kind of person would go out of their way to insult and hurt people just for not being the same? He wished he could help Kumiko. He wished he could put a smile on that beautiful face of hers again, like he did when they planned to go to the festival, but it seemed that she needed this time alone. He would talk to her later. He tried to walk away, but a butler was running through the halls and he accidentally plowed through Zeke, causing the theif/bodyguard to get slammed head first into the door, then fall to the ground. He had a headache now, but if Kumiko caught him listening through the door, he'd be screwed.

She walked over to the door and opened it, seeing Zeke on the ground. A little startled at her bodyguard on the floor agaisnt her door, she asked"Zeke? What are you doing here? Where you listening in on what I was saying? Be honest."Her ears lowered a bit and helped him up so the human can explain himself. She looked up at him with her face wet and her eyes glassy, full of tears. Kumiko was frowning up at him as her ears remained lowered. "I told you that you could go explore." ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀

Zeke Redgrave Zeke looked at Kumiko with a bit of guilt. "Yeah, I was." He admitted. Sure, it wasn't the most noble thing to do, but he was concerned for his friend. "I know, but I think checking on my friend is a bit more important than exploring the castle. I was worried, after what that guy said, so I wanted to see if you were alright." He told her. Why would her parents keep trying to stick her with princes if they were all like that a*****e Roy? Did they even care that she was catching flak from the very men they tried to make her marry? This whole thing made no sense to the young man. He saw how wet her face was, and he could tell that Roy had hurt her with his words. He should have done something about him when he started saying that crap.

I'm alright..."The princess wiped her face again, trying to dry it off. She looked down at the floor for a moment and said looking up at him,"Let's not worry about him. I'm sure there will be no other Prince's that my family can think of to wed me off to."She sighed a bit, gladly thinking that he wasn't going to be wedded off. She said while looking back at the ground,"Please don't think badly of my parents... They don't know how the Lords treat me when they meet me. It never comes up. Zeke Redgrave Zeke gave Kumiko a nod, hoping she was right. He hoped this would be the last time Kumiko had to suffer through something like this again. Kumiko was amazing, and if she was going to marry someone, she should be able to choose who it is, and if she really loves them. "Yeah, I'm alright. Just a little mad, that's all." He told her. Zeke had never felt very close to anyone, given his past, but Kumiko was his first real friend, and seeing her tears wounded him.

Please don't be mad, Zeke. He isn't worth the emotion... It's time for dinner. Are you hungry?"Her ears relaxed a bit and gave him a small smile, showing that she was going to be okay. Zeke Redgrave Zeke took a breath, then relaxed himself, giving Kumiko a smile. "I guess some food will help." He told her. He had gotten hungry after letting his anger run through him like that. Zeke was glad that things were alright for them moment, and he hoped they would stay that way, at least until the festival in a few days. He knew he shouldn't worry about her so much, but Kumiko was his first real friend, so he wanted to keep her happy, if he could.

She led the way to the dinning room and said,"I apologize if I got you worried. I'll be fine. Please eat as much as you like. What do you want for dinner?"She looked over her shoulder, up at him while walking down the steps. The uni-person got to the bottom of the steps and her ears flickered once. She turned to her body guard and looked up at him with her golden eyes, wondering what he was craving for. ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀ ((I'm going to time skip to get things going after the night if everything is good with you?))

Zeke Redgrave Zeke gave Kumiko a shrug. "I'm not really all that picky. i'll have anything." He told her. He hadn't had a real meal in so long, he didn't really care what it was. I mean, all the guy had today was apples. However, he wouldn't have even had those if Kumiko and her family hadn't taken him in. He would always be grateful to his new friend and all she'd done for him so far.(Sure! Go ahead!)

She showed him arts as he told her stories of the blue skies, different constellations in the skies, the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the moon. Kumiko listened to the stories late at night and have had the most fun she's ever had with someone in all her years. The princess was more excited for the festival the more he talked about the outside. Her freedom was only a few days away.
Kumiko woke up the next morning and jumped out of her bed and quickly got dressed in a dull blue corset and a dim teal gypsy skirt. She pulled half hair hair back and couldn't wait. She didn't wear any jewlery or anything special. She liked the way she looked, not classy, pampered or full of frills. She turned around in front of the mirror, happily and excited."Hmm~! I cannot wait for tonight. I couldn't be more greatful for my new friend, Zeke."Kumiko stopped and blushed while smiling warmly at the thought of Zeke and his kindness. He was the best and most wonderful friend she could ever ask for. ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀

Zeke Redgrave Zeke rose from his bed with a loud yawn, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. It took him a few seconds to remember what tonight was, and a rush of excitement came over him. He couldn't wait for the festival. It was going to be so much fun, and even better, Kumiko would finally get a taste of freedom. Zeke was glad to help his new friend get out of the castle, if only for one night. It was the least he could do for the girl after she gave him anew home and became his first real friend. The thought of seeing her smile made him incredibly happy. They had only been friends for a few days, but Zeke felt very close to Kumiko, and not just because he was her bodyguard. The beautifuk uni-person princess was the best friend he could ever have. He got out of bed and slapped on a pair of black pants and a matching shirt, strapping his sword to his hip, then walked out the door, wondering what to do until tonight.

She looked up from the floor and faced her door, happily. Walking over to the door, she peeked outside and saw Zeke. She smiled happily and quietly walked out. She ran over and hugged Zeke from behind and held onto him for a moment,"Good morning~! How did you sleep?"Kumiko looked up at her body guard, now more of a best friend, smiling warmly and so early. She never smiled so early before and so much. Kumiko finally lets go of Zeke and couldn't help but to smile. ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀
