I know! I also heard that he'll be donning a wig for the special... I hope it's convincing. The changing of doctors puts Jenna in a tough spot. This is only the second tine in New Who that we'll see how a companion copes with the change. I hope she plays out the emotional transition well. I'm so very excited to see what they do with Hurt's Doctor.

I'm so very excited to see what they do with Hurt's Doctor. I figured they'd give him a wig. I really hope it's good, too! Karen had one for I think it was the Pondlife webisodes and it was pretty obvious. Maybe that was just a webisode-budget sort of thing. There's some fan-theories/head canons I've heard that Rose's influence helped shape who Nine regenerated into; that's why he was gentler, and had less anger. It would be interesting, and I think good character development for their relationship, if Clara had a similar effect on Eleven's transition into Twelve. Maybe he'll feel sort of fatherly and protective towards her? However they (the powers that be) play it I hope Clara and Twelve have an awesome and entertaining dynamic. I want them to be best buds, and to need each other. I really didn't find Eleven and Clara all that engaging. I feel like she under-reacts all the time to things. Like that time on the Russian sub when she saw a supposedly gross and mangled body? She just seemed a little put off... wouldn't a normal person be super grossed-out or screaming their head off? Ack, that got long. But I really hope the regeneration will give Clara a chance to shine, and that she'll really come into her own as a companion with Twelve.

Spoiler the one who was inside the prison that died but the doctor still meets again cant remember her name. same girl from snowman episode Haha, I didn't realize this thread had gotten replies whilst I was away. You mean Clara. Have you seen the end of Series 7 yet? I really hate spoiling Who.

Jinei Ryuu Shinigami The Doctordonna friend. Uud(sp) whats up with them I mean like how do they seem to exist everywhere and in every time. Well, from a writing point of view I guess RTD just decided he really liked the Ood and that they fit in a lot of stories, not to mention helped to tie together the end of Ten's story arc. In-universe, like Lily said, they were/are a servant race and they really just kind of are everywhere. I think the whole point is that they're affordable and easy to breed and they're just really popular and common. I don't think we've seen any since Moffat took over, tho.

gaia_nitemareleft Ugh, I hate it that when you guys get to see the new episode already this fall, I have to wait 'till january ... unless I find a way to see the episodes somewhere else. pirate I agree with Sam about Clara. She didn't seem to really match well with the 11th. I think she was bit too... distant. I hope she'll really start to shine with the 12th since I think she's really good actor! gaia_angelright

Plus, our connection is these days so poor that waiting days for one hour show seems bit... annoying. whee But, if nothing else works, I'll just have to dust off my Jolly Rogers flag and try to get the seasons in other ways. gaia_angelright

We're generally not allowed to talk about this stuff on Gaia, but considering this is a private guild... The client I use is uTorrent. Google it, and download it for free. My two favourite sites are kat.ph and isohunt.com. I rarely use any others.

I feel bit "alone" when I post in fb or talk about doctor Who stuff and everyone are just clueless what I'm talking about. sweatdrop Luckily, I have several in here! 4laugh So, about one and a half months 'till the new series starts. I'm saddened and excited all at the same time for the twelfth doctor to arrive. I have the biggest crush on Matt Smith and will miss him dearly as the doctor. I came across Doctor Who during the regeneration to the tenth doctor. I have to say, I love the show enough that I did buy the eleventh doctor's sonic screwdriver at comic con this year and also a bunch of tees.
Can't wait for the Christmas special! I'm glad I have BBC America. xd

Mat's last speech in the Tardis before regenerating was almost too much. *sigh* Good thing is that they will air the episodes in here only few days behind the "official airing dates" (meaning UK and US) so I won't need to be scared of too much spoilers in the internet.
