Ivan looked at the book. It was a classic. He then looked up and smiled at the young woman. "I did, but it was so many years ago that I don't remember." He answered her. It was the truth. That was his version of grade school and he also read many things between then and now.

Dawn was suprised that he knew the book. "um... i was trying to find someone to disscuss the book with... but i see that your so busy..." she looked around the room at all the fancy people and felt out of place in her white tanktop, jeans, and being barefoot.

Ivan smiled and shook his head. "It's my job to be a servant of your beautiful eyes." He answered before pulling her to a couch and sitting down. He snapped his figures as a maid started to serve tea. "I hope the mint isn't strong, it's from my families garden in Peachland."

Dawn blushed as she was pulled to a couch. she looked around at all the drassed up peopleand wished she had packed her midnight blue dress when she came. she looked at the man when tea was served. "oh i drink mint all the time at home. thank you." she felt like a joke was being played on her, for nobody had ever taken an intrest in her before.

Ivan smiled and poured her a cup. "My family owns much of the town and we get fine and fresh products all the time." He added about how he got the goods for the tea. "You're such and educated girl. Do you enjoy the book?" He asked turning the talk to about her.

Dawn blushed and looked at the book. "yes i found it quite intreging. i sometimes wish i lived in that time period. everything was so much easier back then." she sighed. "nobody seemes to care anyway... im sorry if i am bothering you...."

"The clothing from the era you're talking about is really beautiful. I wonder if you were in those clothes if you would be wearing the clothes or if the clothes would be wearing you. I think your beauty out ways it."

Dawn looked up at him. "i was in the play pride and predjuduce at one point. but i was only 13 at the time. i played the main character. you would not believe who played mr. darcy. she had to switch the lines a bit."

Ivan looked into her eyes and answered her. "I wonder who played Mr. Darcy? I bet your beauty out shone everyone on stage and they were all jealous of you." He commented back about the play.

 "Oh, okay." she said, smiling a little. "I guess I should've thought of that..." she added, with a slight chuckle. "So, were is the front desk?" She asked again, not wanting to get lost.

Russ smiled and thought of a new way to get her to stay.
"Don't worry about it right now. Why don't you sit and relax. Maybe have some tea. You just got here and maybe you'd like to make some friends."
The reporter hoped that she would stay long enough for them to get to know each other.

The boy held his pose, slowly rolling like a doll to the side, before landing on the floor. The tears returned, and he almost began speaking out loud again, but refrained. His mind jumping around so quickly from scenario to scenario his brain was confusing English with his second common language; French. He knew if he got pissed it would be a more British-ly accent until he was a flaming red-head of pissy-ness.
"No!.. No bien dans sa peau! Du tout!"[**Comfort or at ease with oneself. Not/none at all] he stated as he lept to his feet and pointed accusingly at the two as they left. Pouting even more when they eased away from him to another part of the room. He ignored the wired looks form a few cliets, and the questions flurrying about the room.
"Who IS he?"
"Is he a host?"
"Oh! Look at his wings! (so cute! <3)"
"I wouldn't mind having him on MY lap!"
"Is he barefoot? He's not wearing a host's uniform."
[try to take him seriously Now.. ]
He then crossed his arms and let the earth fall away from him as he followed them silently. The green feathers he had lived with for so long draping behind him, brushing aside the breeze to help him hover along.
Moving around above the two, he found a place behind Ivan before popping "out of the sky" and stared at the boy on the "ceiling" before circling his body around to "sit" in front of him. All the while his long green hair stayed tied back, although tending to fall to gravity's will. He was casual, holding his legs as he stared deeply into the other's eyes with his own.
"Blague à part, c'est-à-dire, where is it you said is the restroom?"[**All joking aside, I request clarification] Nallan asked, waving his hand up and down as he smiled apologetically. In all honesty he hadn't really been paying attention in the slightest when the other man had pointed out the way.. and he'd been holding his bird-sized bladder sense that morning.
"plus ça change... tu m'étonnes."[**The more things change.. tell me something I don't know.] He said to himself after obtaining instructions, he was such an idiot sometimes.
° ° ° ° ° °
"Fais voir."[**Let me see.] came a familiarly cheerful voice, a hand reaching out to seize the book the two were speaking of from their grasp. The boy then found a spot smack-dab between the two, squeezing his way in if he had to, and pushing the host away more with his legs as he crossed them comfortably. He didn't care for the couch or the close-knit area of who-knows-what-wannabes and romance-addicts, but it felt nice to be with people and not complete strangers.
"Three.." he spouted, still counting down with his eyes glued to the pages. Sure he had relieved himself, but he was curious to see if the girl would get flustered. But then again.. He was too into the words in front of him. He was open-minded about absolutely ANYTHING, and he hadn't read much sense one of the janitors did a book exchange across town and invited him along. That was over a month or two ago, not that he hadn't read anything else in the past. But it wasn't something he'd read yet.. and so obviously he would be addicted to finish it before moving on to another.

Nallan had pissed off the wrong host in the room and the tan skinned Literature teacher was not too pleased. The man stood up. Just looking at him screamed Egyptian. His make up and jewels with his skin didn't help the image of a former leader. The man walked over to the boy baring his fangs. "You are welcome to leave. Your scaring our clients. The bathroom is down the hall and to the left." The man answered the boy. He then turned and went back to the young woman who hadn't made up her mind.

Dawn blushed as she spoke of the person who played mr. darcy. "it was my twin brother. Eros. we were both so shocked that it happened. thankfully they changed it a bit so nothing happened. but still quite funny." she looked up at the man. "has that ever happened to you?"

Ivan smiled he could work with siblings as a topic. "I was home schooled until high school, but I think I know how things can become. My family adopted a girl about my age and we were dressed in similar outfits a lot and called 'the little couple'." He answered. Not that he hated it. He moved his adopted sister to no end.
