Sushi Flavored Gatorade It's all about the console, I like better games on it, and most sports games I like are way better on the console then the PC. I like the console better, basically because I like and have better games on it, then I have with the PC. My only types of PC games that I cherish are Starcraft, Warcraft, etc. So about that "next-generation", or "old school", I'd have to say "next-gen", because I missed out on the Super NES, I never owned a N64, only my friend did, my first console was a PS2, which I regret, because I never had a chance to own and enjoy the classics. I feel sad to the stomach right now. At least you missed Quest 64. >< That game still destroys my soul when I remember renting it as a kid. Though you could just use an emulator to play Super Nintendo games. I can't give any links for Emulators, as it's against the ToS, but you should be able to google one.

I started playing stuff in 1990 or so, on my friend's I-have-no-idea-what-it-is PC with no harddrive. We played games like Metal Mutant and the stupid Stormlord. It was back in Poland, and fresh after communism, so nothing was really available back then except bootleg floppies from some backalley store. I'm completely PC. I've never owned a console, and don't really want one. I've tried to consider it, but nothing ever appeals to me on them. RTS and FPS, as well as some types of RPGs are where it's at. For all those, I just abhor console controls. An RTS is unplayable without a mouse, and FPS to me is almost as bad. RPGs on the otherhand, I like to have my many hotkeyed spells, so again, console controls just don't cut it. Imagine Diablo on a console neutral I also just love the fact that I'm at a desk. The PC is right here. I'm there. With a console, I feel completely sepearted from it. The screen is at a distance, and I'm in the same place I would watch TV. It just doesn't work for me on any level. Yeah, occasionally I enjoy console games at my friend's houses, but it's only fun because of the people, not the gaming. I love my old games, but I also love new stuff, especially the great graphics that keep coming. I'm a big fan of arguing against all the "you're a graphics whore" people because they always say that old games have bad graphics, when it's completely not true. "Oh I hate good graphics, I'll just go play my SNES" Don't they notice that this looks good? I guess I'll just end this lengthy post with my game collection.

One of the reasons why I want the revolution is because you can download old NES and SNES games for a small fee. Recently I also learned that select Sega Genesis and Turbographx-16 games will be also available for download. I'll finally be able to play Devil's Crush!

Yeah, it's a good feature. I wish PCs could have something like that. Companies disappear, but their copyrights still hold and all this legal bullshit, while in consoles there's always someone (like here Nintendo) who sticks around with it.
The-underdogs.org was a site that had a lot of old games for free download, but it seems to have been killed since it was mildly illegal. At least I got some good games out of it neutral
If I'm ever going to get a console, the Revolution / Wii will be it.

Actually tI think he controller will be pretty stupid It's just that sometimes to good to have a console, and it would cost the least of the new ones. It would also run some old games I might want, like Goldeneye. I have the rom/emulator though... So yeah, chances are I won't get it anyway. confused

It's expensive as ********, but if you tried to buy it's hardware piece by piece it'd cost about a thousand bucks more than the system.

Buy them extremely cheap when they are so scratched up they don't work, pop them in my disk doctor, then they're good as new. 3nodding

I am going to get the Wii/Revolution. I want to buy it because Nintendo has some franchises that I have been raised on. I also want it because I'll have the chance to play games that I haven't gotten to play, like Slaughterhouse. Maybe they'll even release english versions of games that never came out, like Sweet Home, the inspiration for Resident Evil.
EDIT: I just saw the Super Smash Bros. Brawl trailer. I want that game so bad. That and Bad Day LA will be mine.

I'd like to try out that game too. A game I've been playing a lot of is The Godfather. Going up to a business and offering "Protection" never gets old, especially when you use the business owner's head to open up the cash register to help convince them to pay up.

Some new games I'm looking forward to:
Destroy All Humans! 2- Play as an alien plotting world domination in the 70's. I can't wait to get in the flying saucer and introduce random hippies to the death ray.
Dead Rising- You're stuck in a mall with thousands of zombies. You can steal anything in the stores from clothes, weapons, and food. You can dress as a Servbot.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess- Duh.
I just hope my brother buys the 360 soon. Then we'll have to devise some way to get it online.
